They charged nationwide repair/replace on it and never did. 2nd time was ready no call no apology I had to call. I'd like to think they aren't being malicious or shady but to bring my vehicle back a third time to repair an issue that should have been addressed the first time is ridiculous. I had a fender bender earlier this year, this was one of the repair shops recommended by my insurance. The repairs were fully covered by insurance, caliber dealt directly with the insurance company. They performed the repairs on time and at the cost of the estimate that they provided. One of the repairs was replacing the front wheel, and I noted that that tire was slowly leaking air over several months since the repair, when I took it back to have them evaluate it, they took the car right in while I waited, they discovered that there was a screw in The tire, and I mentioned that I had an extra tire at home and they offered to mount and and balance it for me. Which they did two days later, as promised, when I returned with the other tire, even though they were under no obligation to do so. The manager Darrel was very kind and the receptionist, Jenna was polite and friendly. My experience here is that they keep their word and perform quality work. The email provided by the customer service team in response to any negative yelp reviews is ineffective. I responded immediately to the prompt and have yet to hear a response. I have sent an additional email in hopes of receiving contact from their costumer service team, but I am not optimistic. Since my initial review I have had to continuously bring my vehicle in to correct issues stemming from my encounters at caliber collision including a windshield repair for a cracked windshield that occurred while my car was in the care of caliber collision. Caliber collision did a horrible job on my car: They broke my 2014 college tassel hanging on the visor. They lost a tire pressure cap. When they pressure washed my car they knocked my deer horns off, I had to reglue them. What ever they used to clean the car, was not completely wiped off. All my electrical stuff was thrown in the back seat. They cleaned the coffee off the seat but not the back. The main reason I went there was because the back end of the car was destroyed. I was the victim of a car accident. My car was parked when it was severely side swiped. The insurance was covered by Calliber Collision. They had my vehicle for a month. Upon picking it up I was informed about a defect that they said was unrelated to the accident. I KNOW MY CAR. I immediately took it to my mechanic and was told something different. But I had Calliber get it from my mechanic to fix it. The person I dealt with at Calliber named Darrell was rude,presumptuous, unapologetic and I really like he was talking down to me. Calliber Collision charged me$161 for a diagnostic test and told me that I KNEW it was something not related to the accident. Like really, who talks to the customer like that. read more

I had my car fixed here on a recommendation from my insurance agent. The pro is that it is next door to an enterprise and a homemade chocolate store. The con is that my experience was not the greatest. I had to call my insurance twice to extend the rental day coverage until it was maxed out and was without a car for another week. When I picked up my car, I waited almost an hour before I could get it. This is due to the fact one of my tires had a flat and when they went to repair it, they chipped the wheel of the tire. They were kind and gave two options of fixing it (couple days), or getting a $50 gift card. Since I had to leave out of state the next morning, I said I would call when I had a decision made. I called, I emailed, left voicemails, and received no response back. Once I got my car back, it was not the same. Appearance looked great, looked as if there was never an accident. Driving it, however, was a different story. When I went over 55mph, the whole car would shake and I did not feel safe driving when going up towards that speed. There are some positive reviews here, however, this was not my experience. I personally would not recommend the Caliber at this location. read more

I had a quote to be done for the 23rd for my service. I did not receive any call explaining that my car was not done yet, and I had to call on the 24th to check in, which is fine, but they had told me they would call me by the late afternoon and that they would call me, so I waited and waited and never got a call. I called at 3:15 pm, with no answer. Called and called again, then finally decided to get a ride there because I need my car for travel, and I knew theyd be closed on Christmas. They closed early for Christmas Eve and didn't tell me, and now I can't get my car. Absolutely horrible, inconsiderate inconvenience that is affecting my travel plans for a flight out of the country!! read more

Do not take your car here! What a nightmare. Got in a fairly minor fender bender and they've had my car for 6-7 weeks! They kept finding more stuff wrong with the car (convenient that it padded their bill I guess) and had to keep calling the insurance company back. What a joke. Unfortunately I didn't have the auto rental coverage on my insurance and so I've had to pay out of pocket the whole time. No complaint on the customer service. My rep Deshaun was professional and kind and so were the receptionists but that doesn't make up for the disaster that is this repair. Please know this is a very sincere review, so I highly recommend taking your car elsewhere. read more

This is a horrible shop. Had been there when it was H&V and had great service and repairs. I was very specific to my needs and concerns about the length of time for repair. I waited an EXTRA MONTH to wait for an appointment to limit the time in the shop. All my planning and working with this shop was for NOTHING!!!!! Even though I confirmed the Thursday before my Monday drop off, And was told the part was in so we'd keep the appointment. Three days in they still hadn't touched my car- that the part only got there. So I ask - who's going to pay for my rental. The insurance company. NO!! I had already told them I was paying out of pocket which is why I was being so specific. They don't give a shit. So they are acrewing the insurance companies and filling the rental company's pockets. While adding to why our insurance rates keep going up for those who do have Rental reimbursement. This is a horrible company. Horrible customer service. No regard for any one. I had already waited and would have waited longer to avoid this situation. It's bad enough needing to get your car repaired from an accident that isn't your fault. But getting screwed over in the process- unbelievable!! I will never return! I will never recommend and I will be sure to let everyone I possibly can to stay away from this company. read more

My mother-in-law had an accident recently and when were were asked where we would like the car brought to for repairs we immediately said Caliber Collision in Colonie. They have repaired her car in the past and the quality of the work was fantastic and it looked like it was never in an accident when they were done. I have had the opportunity to deal with Alan twice now and I can't praise him enough for his dedication and professionalism in helping us navigate the insurance process. He took great care to communicate and update us through the entire process. I had the unfortunate experience of having my vehicle hit by an inattentive driver. The vehicle encountered significant damage. I called Caliber Collision in Colonie on a Monday morning, 7/22/19 (8:30 am-9:00 am timeframe) to discuss scheduling for a repair. The male associate was one of the rudest people I encountered. He was actually suggesting that I bring my vehicle elsewhere as they "were busy." Could you for a moment imagine this business philosophy? He had absolutely no customer service skills, lacked empathy and wanted to get me off the phone as soon as he could. I pressed him further by saying you apparently do not want my business and your customer service skills are lacking. He then hung up on me. I cannot for a moment imagine that management would be surprised by this behavior. I believe it is a culture and shame on management for permitting it. I have since talked with other colleagues who have had similar experiences at this location. They do not hire the best and could care less how customers are treated during a first point of contact. This is a national collision repair company with mixed reviews. The biggest complaint is poor communication with customers. How I miss local collision repair shops who would go out of their way to earn your business. read more
