I was quite upset when the tailgate of my brand new BMW X3 was dented by an unknown driver. Because my insurance company works with Caliber and it was close to home, I decided to use their service and what a good choice it has been. Jose was in charge of overseeing the repair. He explained the process as we inspected the car and showed me exactly which part(s) needed replacing. We discussed the timing and he promised to be in touch daily. He was true to his word and kept me in the loop throughout the four day process. It was clear he kept a close eye because when the car final detailing was not to his liking he sent it back to have it redone. I recently had a vehicle repaired at the Caliber Carmichael location. Our estimator was Josh Burns. He was very easy to work with and professional through the whole experience. Progressive recommended the shopped and worked with Josh to make the whole experience seamless and simple. I'm familiar with body work and insurance, but they made it easy none the less. I just received my car back from this company after going through my insurance for repair. At first I was hesitant to use this company for my repairs. Well after picking up my car today. I inspected it myself thoroughly. I have to say they did a great job! I found everything was done like the Honda factory would have done it. I now do not regret using this company for my repairs. Dropped my vehicle off on a Monday and I didn't get an estimate of repairs til the next Monday. If they would have told me up front that they couldn't get to it until Thursday I would have taken it elsewhere. The next shop I took it to had it estimated the same day and could handle all the repairs in house. read more

I had a great experience with this shop. Deiree, Chris and Brian were very helpful along the way and the repair professionals did a great job. When I dropped off my car they offered to give me a free ride home which I didn't need, but that was great service. When I picked up my car, I noticed some scratches on my hood related to my incident which I hadn't seen prior when going over the estimate. They took the car back in and buffed out those scratches while I was there and now everything looks fantastic. I'd definitely come back and recommend this place to others. The only word of warning is that they get a lot of business and so it might take longer to get your vehicle back than other places. I'd say the quality of their repairs more than makes up for this. They also have a rental option right out of this location if your unable to line up rides while your car is being repaired. read more

Someone hit my car not too bad and their insurance sent me to caliber collision to get it fixed. Everyone there was very helpful and nice from when I got into when I picked up my car they were all very nice to me. I've never had to repair my car like this before so dealing with them for my first repair, it was a good experience. It was really convenient to be able to use enterprise same building. read more

Wow. Just got off the phone with an incredibly rude person at this location. I usually go to Cooks but since enterprise has a pick up location at this caliber location I decided to give them a try. When I called to inquire how the process works as far as an appt he proceeded to tell me I can't get a rental anyway until USAA approves it (my insurance). A) none of his business and b) I can get a rental when I need one considering I was rear ended by someone and my vehicle isn't safe to drive. Before I was done working to set it up this jerk interrupted me to say ok have a nice day CLICK. Hung up on me. What a moron- I am very glad none of my employees would ever treat my clients this way. I manage a customer service dept and this guy should be removed from any customer facing position ASAP. Yikes! I did not have rental car insurance and I was stuck without a car during the repair period. When I dropped off the car - I had an appointment, I was told I would be kept informed as we moved through the process of repairs and that the estimate would be submitted within 48 hours. Two weeks later the estimate was finally submitted. Then the repairs started. I was not kept informed of the repair process. The repairs were fine but my complaint is about the time frame. No one wants to be without a car for so long if they could not complete the estimate and the work in a timely manner they should have been honest and given me back the car to take to another shop. Bottom line they are not honest. For some reason there was a significant loss of gasoline. Don't know how or why because the mileage was not significantly different. read more

In particular, Matt Wagner was very helpful and responsive. Our 2014 Fusion got rear ended. Took it to Caliber Folsom. Had to return it twice to get things somewhat correct. Trunk now closes with a crunch instead of a click. Large gap at the bottom of the trunk lid. We got tired of their lies about how all Fusions are like this when not one on the dealer lot is. They tried to bs my wife like crazy. Service mgr at Ford dealer even told us they did shoddy work. Got tired of the games and just took the car home. Incompetent at best. read more

I had a bad experience. My car got rear-ended. I called this Caliber location and gave them my auto insurance information. They said they would create an estimation and call me back. I waited a few days, called them, and was told "we are working on the paperwork". After a few days I called again, and was told "we are still working on the paperwork". Finally, I got a voice mail a couple of days later, saying "Sorry that our shop is fully booked. We won't be able to work on your car." The whole process took more than 2 weeks and I'm very disappointed. read more

I went back to have some trim molding replaced on my car as I was so frustrated trying to find the replacement myself. The service from these folks is so outstanding it's startling. They make appointments, acknowledge you when they are with other customers, provide comprehensive estimates, updated if the estimate changes, and keep you updated every step of the way. The person who details the vehicle after service does a wonderful job as well. I realize this probably sounds fake or overstated, it's neither, I'm just an average person who had a great experience, twice! read more

Welp, we had some work needing to be done after a tire & piece of metal tore up the undercarriage & front bumper of my boyfriend's car. Desiree was great, good communication & Chris was great too. It took a while but we eventually got it back. INITIALLY, we were very pleased. The car looked great. The next day, check engine light came on. Went back, tech tightened something on the gas tank (inside the car, under passenger seat in the back) even though he stated he could not find the right tool. ok cool. We're back on the road. My boyfriend goes and fills his gas tank, picks his nephew up from school & comes home. . . MAD. Says, "there's gas where Matt was seated". The smell of gas fills the garage, we lift the cushion and yeah LIQUID gas on the hands. We now had gas leaking INTO the car?! Caliber said they never tested the replacement gas tank, seals, etc. -Tried blaming Insurance company, yeah no. Insurance company was like "Uh testing those things are a standard safety necessity". OK, back to the shop. Matt was our new contact person. Though, the concept of "Contact" was non-existent. He didn't return messages or call with updates. I was the one calling or we would just "drop by" as days ticked by. They had to reorder gaskets/seals, as the wrong ones were either ordered or delivered. FINALLY, got the car back (again) BUT it still was filled with the noxious gas smell. They told us to leave the windows down for a few days?! 1-wk later, with removing seat cushions that gas soaked into and leaving them out to air - the smell was still there. During this time, we went to get a new front tire since Caliber replaced one & we needed another. THEN we find out Caliber put the wrong size tire on the car?! how? So, I again go back to Caliber, get the district manager's name & number this time, as well as call my insurance adjuster who was livid. *Keep in mind, each time we went to Caliber - there were others bringing their cars back after picking them up. While one employee told us "Its rare that anyone has to come back", a man in a truck pulls up and is on the phone saying how he's bringing his truck to caliber again as another issue popped up. I spoke to family/friends who had used caliber before and apparently, they all had similar experiences. If I knew then, what I now know?! UGH.* So, the District Manager, "Tim B." was very apologetic & understanding. He had Caliber pay the tire place of our choice for replacing the incorrect tire & included the secondary tire we were going to buy anyway. He then had a mobile detail company come out and detail the car, to remove the smell of gasoline. We won't know for a few "hot" days if it's actually gone for good or if the cushions will need to be replaced. The insurance company has approved us to take the car to the dealership to look over EVERYTHING caliber did to make sure everything that we cannot see was done correctly, and not a safety hazard like gasoline leaking in the car. Farmers Ins. wasn't exactly pleased about gas leaking into the car or us being sent home with a car that still had gas fumes. SO, people please please please save yourself repeated headaches do not go here. I regret talking my boyfriend into going here (it was close and seems to be big company)... Again, if I knew then what headaches or safety issues would occur by trusting Caliber - I would have gone anywhere else. Good luck folks. Seriously. SMH read more
