The one star is for Ethan's people skills. Very hospitable. However this particular shop has technicians that worked on my truck here to fix a chip in my paint and small dent from an accident but broke more than what they fixed. I have a mirror that doesn't function the way it did when I brought it in, a rain visor that got broke in half, and my windows work well now after they had to fix a mistake they made that caused them to not roll up or down. Again, great people skills but not so good at what we expect from a body shop. ***So update on this one. Definitely had a great experience with Caliber. Avoid this shop if possible. It is a terrible terrible repair shop. Repaired my car with shop as it was recommended by the insurance company. After the repair, there is a crack on my windshield. They not only denied they caused it and refused to repair it for me. They were also very rude and I was treated terribly. Not to mention the burnt seatbelt. I had a vehicle accident on March 2nd. Did a quick search on Google for some Reviews about body shops. The one with one of the best reviews was Caliber Collision in Bryan. Wrecker picked it up and took it there. Was told it would be about 30 days (yes it was a mess) had no problem with that. The man I talked to there was named Imir Harini. If I could give 50 stars just for him I would. I told him I was having a knee replacement the end of the month so wouldn't be driving anyway. Bless his heart...... he was worried about me getting in a vehicle from the hospital and got my Murano finished in record time. It's ready this afternoon after 4. If my math is correct that's 13 days. WOW!!!! This is customer service to the MAX. Now this is the one in Bryan not CS. Imir is not the only Rock Star there though. Never got a response called to check and see if they received the email and apparently the guy that does the estimate is never in the office. Called the lady and she hung up on us. I went here for my very first collision repair on an insurance claim. Brad, who does State Farm claims, was very good at explaining the claim process. When he did the pre-estimate, he explained exactly what needed to be done for the repair and his estimate was overall a better value for what State Farm would pay for, as opposed to other car shops. When it came time to actually take the car in for the repairs, Brad left messages updating me on the repairs. The job was also done a day earlier than he estimated. The car looked great afterward. I did get a warranty for the repairs. While there were a few issues, Brad personally resolved them which showed great care for the customer and a willingness to "go above and beyond". This location is clean and comfortable. I did not have to wait as often or as long as at other repair shops to be served. read more

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Two months ago I went to Caliber Collision with a broken side view mirror and an insurance claim number from the party at fault. They took photos, submitted a quote to insurance company, and told me they would call me. They never called. Whenever would I call them I get to play phone tag for 1/2 an hour, only to be told I will be called back. They never call back. Time rolls on.. I do get a call, from the insurance company, wondering why this issue hasn't been resolved yet. So I make another trip to Caliber Collision. I tell them about my problems getting an appointment set for repair, double check they have my phone number and all the correct insurance info. They tell me the insurance needs more photos (lie), so they take the photos, refuse to schedule a repair date and tell me they will call me.. Guess what? Weeks later still not one call from Caliber Collision. Insurance has called me at least 5 times trying to be helpful and wanting to know why my claim is still open. I don't know about about the folks over at Caliber Collision, but I have to work for a living and my time = money. I have no more time and money to invest in dealing with this non-repair center. I will buy the mirror and replace it myself, maybe the insurance will reimburse me, maybe not but at least I won't have to deal with this horrible company! Thanks for NOTHING. read more

USAA (5 stars for them) suggested that I take my car there and mentioned that they stand by their work. Here's what has happened...so far: I have a Jetta, recent model about 20k miles. Previously flawless paint and wheels. The original damage was to the door and it was my own fault; the door was bent open too far and it damaged the hinges and door frame so much so that they needed to be replaced. They took my car, gave me an estimate for $1100, and said it would be finished in about a week. I told them that it wasn't a problem and to keep the car for as long as it took to get it repaired. When I picked up the car...the first time...here's what I found (obvious stuff): 1) The door was on crooked (they fixed this) 2) The paint on inside of the door was rough and had dirt in it 3) They broke and did not repair the switch bezel for the trunk/fuel door 4) The headlights no longer self adjusted 5) There was still a dent in the fender 6) The door whistles above 40mph. I called my liaison at Caliber and told them what I saw and (to their credit) without any fuss, took the car back to fix the problems. When I picked it up the second time, it was a disaster: 1) THEY SCRATCHED THE $#!% OUT OF MY WHEELS and then gave them some kind of crappy repair to try and cover it up. It looks like GARBAGE. They sanded the lip over where they scratched it. Fortunately, I have pictures that I took in their parking lot on the day that I dropped it off that clearly show the rims without the damage. 2) There is paint overspray all over the car, inside and out (all over the dashboard) 3) There are deep grooves in the paint on the fender where they didn't bother to properly finish the paint work 4) The door still whistles and now I understand why; the weather stripping is torn along the bottom of the door and the door sill weather stripping is ripped 5) The switch bezel was simply glued in place, still broken and still crooked. Only now, the trunk switch is full of glue and barely works 6) I have a nice glue thumbprint inside the car 7) The pen-stripes are on crooked. The only thing that they got right the second time around was the headlights. They work again. This is still unresolved. Even the repairs that they did correctly looks terrible. The door skin was creased in the accident. Instead of replacing it, they ran it through what I can only guess was an english wheel. But they did a terrible job because you can see the roller marks through the paint. For all of this, they charged USAA $2100 and me $500 for a total of $2600. I'd rather have had them use a used door and fender (white jettas are everywhere) and just put my window and inner door panel on it. It would have saved USAA money, they wouldn't have had to paint anything. I may end up doing all of that myself. I'm never going back there. They had a chance to fix a few minor things and ended up making it much much worse. And what's worse, they tried to hide the damage they caused instead of just telling me about it up front. That's bull$#!%. read more

I had Caliber do body work on my 2001 Mercedes after getting rear-ended. The experience was great and I highly recommend them. Caliber was able to repair a quarter panel with serious damage without replacing it with new parts, which probably saved my car from being totaled. They are thorough and did an amazing job making the car look good as new. Caliber even detailed the interior and buffed out scratches that were unrelated to the accident claim, which was above and beyond what they had to do. Scott was great about communicating everything with me throughout the process and they finished the repair sooner than expected by doing painting on weekends. They pulled out my bumper, replaced a taillight, painted the scratches, and got a replacement part for a piece of plastic that was missing behind my bumper that I didn't even notice. I had my car repaired by Caliber as part of a USAA insurance claim. I rear ended another vehicle -- totally my fault -- and Caliber was recommended to me by the insurance company. They did a good job keeping in touch with me throughout the process. (The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that it took them awhile to communicate with me at first. They said they had the wrong number, but didn't make an immediate attempt to find my number. Once they had it, though, they called and gave me regular updates). The repairs took about 2 weeks, which isn't bad considering that the damage to my hood, radiator, and bumper was extensive. All needed replacement. When my car was ready, they dispatched a driver who actually picked me up at home and drove me to the shop, so I didn't have to inconvenience my friends or family. The car itself looks better than it did before the accident. Everything is flawless. They even cleaned and vacuumed the inside of the car. It also appears that they cleaned the steering wheel, dashboard, console, etc. I had a great experience with Caliber and would use them again for repairs like this. read more

I have Geico insurance and this company is their "Preferred One Stop Repair Center". Upon hearing this, my wife thought that she had to take her Town and Country here after being rear ended. There was only cosmetic damage to the bumper (prep and repaint) and there was a ~ 14 inch crease on the outer skin of the lift gate. Having some experience in body repair, there is no doubt in my mind that all that they needed to do was remove the inner panel and pop the crease out. Then they could have cleaned it up (if even needed) with a hammer and dolly. But no, they decided to replace the outer skin. Well 3 weeks after dropping it off I get a call to let me know that they had broken the rear window and that it would be another week before we could get it back. Well 6 days go by and I get a call that it is ready to pick up. I pick my wife up from work and we go to get her beloved van back, FINALLY... Well..... it doesn't end there. As we are looking over the work before accepting it, my wife notices that the paint is pulled up all the way around the window. When they taped the window, they put the tape on the outer skin surface as well and when they were untaping it, the tape tore along the unpainted portion of the tape. When my wife used her fingernail to scratch at the paint at the window edge, the tape started peeling back and you could actually see primed/sealer. At this point I wanted to just take the car to a different body shop, but my wife refused, demanding that they fix what they effed up, and fix it now.... We got the vehicle back 3 or 4 days later and it was finally satisfactory enough that we took it. I would not recommend this company to my family and friends, hell I wouldn't even recommend them to someone I don't like. read more

I was provided with a rental car during the collision repairs, and then collision repairs were completed by week's end. Caliber Collision has an Enterprise Car Rental inside their main office. This business is immaculate and the employees were accommodating, and demonstrated professionalism from beginning to end. I also impressed by the text messages, which provide daily updates on car repairs. When all was said and done my car was restored to its pre-collision appearance. For the above reasons Caliber Collision of Bryan Texas is superior to the competition. I would highly recommend others to use Caliber Collision too. read more
