Wow! I'm impressed! I was a claims adjuster for over 15 years in property and casualty, so I know a thing or two about the claims process. I called 5 shops before calling Georges. They each didn't want my business because they either charged for the estimate, or wouldn't work with the adverse insurance carrier (AIG). We were hit by a semi and required some repairs. When I first called George's, they were fast, friendly and helpful. They assured that they would take care of all the insurance supplements and needs. But in the back of my mind, I know how this works and figured I would have to get involved. Not only did I never have to get involved, but they processed two large supplements and communicated with Enterprise, plus updated me on the progress. The vehicle looks great! If I ever have a body shop need again, I guarantee you that I'm taking it to Georges, no questions asked. Fast, Friendly, Intentional, Responsible, Fair. Everything you would hope for. So, I had my first accident on the highway. Not my fault that the crappy Toyota Corolla decided to have a stump and not lock their trunk. But I hit it straight on. I contacted insurance and instead of using my normal guy which was the dealership, insurance made me go to George's Paint & Body. OVERALL solid place. They fixed the issue. HOWEVER. I needed the undercarriage shield, and I had to remind them to include it. At the tune of 1.1k, they found the part. I get a call to come get my car, and I'm glad I did a once over, because they FORGOT to put it on. I was livid, they had the car for over 2 weeks. It took them 10 minutes to put it on. Really? Second. Because it was an axle issue, they had to do an alignment. That was the SHITTIEST alignment I've ever had. My steering wheel was legit cock-eyed. I actually took it to my normal mechanic, who showed me on the dyna HOW BAD IT WAS. To this day, it still sit slightly at the 1 position, which is still much better than the previous 9. But. Overall, I'd be pissed more if insurance hadn't paid for it. Swell enough place, but unless you HAVE a guy and stick with said person, they are a little too big for the britches and kind of forget about the little guys. read more

Really disappointed in their service, I had been recommended by many to give them a try. Long story short, we had an appointment to get our car worked on for some time. I had adjusted my work schedule to accommodate the dates we had planned. They called to reschedule for a month and a half after our planned appointment date. This has negatively affected our family, as I lost valuable work days which leads to a monetary loss for us. They claimed the reason for rescheduling was covid. The thing that really makes George's Paint & Body stand out from other body shops is their customer service. Throughout the entire process, they kept me in the loop, and were kind and courteous. Whenever you are going into a body shop, you're already probably having a bad day. The fact that they go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable says a lot about the kind of business that this is. There was some minor issues with the insurance but once that got solved, everything was smooth sailing. Wow. Can I give 6 stars? We had a minor fender bender with my daughter. Another shop gave the lady a $876 estimate to fix her car. We brought it here just to get a second estimate. We got there about 20 minutes before closing on a day when it was over 100 degrees. Todd the Estimator looked at it and said " let me try something..." He drove it into the shop and was back out in 10 minutes. He was able to pop it out and back into place and buff out the scratch. He wouldn't even take payment! What an answer to prayer! We've had two vehicles worked on here and both came out looking awesome! However, it took them more than double the estimated time on both jobs and there were small things skipped on each job. To be honest, I would go back because I prefer for the work to be done nicely even if that means it takes longer than expected and that a few small things got missed (my husband was able to repair those small things at home). They could use to work on their customer service. The staff members are awful about returning phone calls to check up on your vehicle (not a one time occurrence). But when we complained to the manager he was very attentive and apologetic. read more

They didn't realize I had to hits on my car and end up taking way longer than expected on my car...They weren't good about keeping me updated... I always had to call them. read more

***Update*** Finally got my car back on Monday. Additional $100 was voided by the manager voluntarily. Job seems solid. Can't say really happy about the entire experience. I guess this is the best that can happen. ***Previous*** Had a very good experience 3 years ago. Everything is just different. First time it got delayed, no one bothered to call. Then I came to them Friday morning. Found out some painting is still needed. I told them I really needed the car for the weekend. A stuff member gave his (verbal) PERSONAL GUARANTEE to get the job done by end of day ONLY IF I throw ANOTHER $100 to get some other minor dents repaired, which would not take much more time as he promised. I was desperate to get my car. So I agreed. Again, no one bothered to call. I had to find out when I got there to pick up the car later, that it's still NOT DONE. And I have to wait until Monday as promised (again?) by the manager. No explanation was offered since he cannot reach the guy who lied to my face. Still waiting now... If they are comfortable with the way how they handle their business. They should be comfortable with how people view think or talk about it. I stand by every word I wrote. This business is beyond shady and their customer service is horrible. If I could give negative stars, I would. They had my car for almost 6 weeks during which time no actual maintenance was completed yet they kept billing my insurance company for labor performed. They repeatedly asked me to sign over POA for checks written to me/them from my insurance company which I refused to do until they actually worked on my vehicle, only to find out that they forged my name on those documents and cashed checks that they had NO right to cash, THAT IS CHECK FRAUD. When confronted about this the owner first denied that it happened and when I told him I had proof he tried to dismiss me stating that "it is a moot point, and that it is standard procedure to cash checks so they're not lying around in the safe" After almost 6 weeks and countless phone calls I had to threaten to get a lawyer so that they would pay for my rental car because they had my vehicle for so long that my rental policy expired through my own insurance. These people do shady business and they have zero regard for how they treat people. They are lucky I'm not suing them for check fraud for illegally cashing checks that don;t belong to them. The owner is rude and I strongly urge anyone considering this establishment for their car repair needs to take their business elsewhere. read more

This is the worst paint and body shop in Bryan. I was given an estimate that my car will be done at the end of the week, Friday. Friday comes around and they are not done, went to check on my car and it was not painted yet. Turns out it won't be done until Monday, they promised. Called the beginning of Monday, they were working on my car and states that they are "shooting for the end of day Monday". I called close till closing time end of day Monday, they were not even finished with putting the car together; they postponed the pickup until Tuesday. Honestly, what's the point of giving an estimated pick up time when you are not going to follow through with it. I depend on my car for work and my schedule revolves around me having my car on time.
