I received excellent service and respect as a woman from Barry. The other location of Caliber would not take my insurance and if they could they were so far behind that it would have been July before they could fix my car. My car was only out of my possession for 3 days. They made getting the rental car easy. When I picked up my car after it was repaired, it had been cleaned inside and out. Barry fixed my wheel that he noticed was scarred. He is a perfectionist and it showed in my car and the pleasant attitude in the shop. I ended up having a great experience after an unfortunate accident that I had expected would lead to more of a hassle. read more

I recently brought my car in here for repairs from an accident. When I got my car back the hood of my car looked like it was still open. When I contacted Dylan about it he acted like I was an idiot when I told him the bumper wasn't flat with the hood. Meaning it still looked open. The fitment was all wrong because they put the wrong bumper on my car causing the upper grill to crack and be damaged. Then when I told him about that he said someone probably hit my car. No one hit my car. My car is white there would have been noticeable scratches or something. They also didn't tuck the wheel wells on either side and also blamed that on someone "hitting" my car also. They also replaced a tire on my front passenger side and lost my valve cap that I bought with a Toyota emblem on it and never replaced it. When I brought the car back to get fixed for the terrible job they did on the bumper/hood they put the broken upper grill back on my car and didn't even tell me. Fair warning find a better body shop. This place takes no responsibility for the bad job they performed and left me with a broken upper grill. They make up any kind of crap to not take responsibility for their shoddy workmanship. read more

The team at Caliber Collision were fantastic and made a really stressful situation much smoother. I live in NY but was in a collision in Delaware on Memorial Day. It was a logistical nightmare. My insurer assigned my car to Caliber Bear for repairs and from the get-go it was clear that they pride themselves on customer service. Even before my car was towed there, Caliber called me and followed up again to let me know the car made it safely (including the front license plate, which was dislodged in the collision). Then, throughout the process, they regularly checked in with me regarding next steps, expectations, cost estimates, specific repairs, and even helped me figure out the logistics of traveling back down there to retrieve my car. Their level of proactive communication and responsiveness is hard to find, in my opinion, and I'm truly grateful that I could have peace of mind with at least one aspect of an auto claim. This place is absolutely disgusting!!! Roaches crawling on the office floor, receptionist had no idea what she was doing and was digging food out of her teeth, literally!!!!! Should be shut down!!!! Not sure why it says San Francisco, CA but this is in Newark, Delaware. It was recommended by my insurance agent to take my vehicle to Caliber Collision for repairs. We normally take our car to a different auto body shop for repairs and now we know why. We had used Caliber Collision YEARS ago and did not like their customer service. As stated we brought our car in for repairs August 2020 and were reminded why we didn't like their customer service. We told them that when our car was hit it started pulling to the right. They stated they would take a look at it and fix the alignment if needed. When we picked up our car they said they put the car on the machine and it tested with all green lights. When I drove the car it immediately started going to the right once I let the wheel go. I brought the car back and was told the mechanic would look at it on Monday. I received a call saying the mechanic drove the car and it didn't pull to the right. We talked to Caliber and told them we didn't want to pick up the car until it was fixed. Kelly had the audacity to actually say they didn't look at the car, there's nothing wrong with the car and we are going to come and pick it up. We contacted our insurance adjuster and he was going to bring someone else to look at the car to confirm the repair. During this time Caliber Collision took it upon themselves to call the rental company stating the vehicle was ready to be picked up and so the rental company charged our card from the date they said even though our insurance adjuster said to keep the car until we have the situation taken care of. When we let our adjuster know what they did with the rental company, he was very upset and he stated the only person that should be calling the rental company is him because he is the one that issues the check to the rental company. He had to call the rental company to refund us our money and told us to keep the rental while we take our car to our normal body shop to have them fix our car back to the condition we were used to. I would NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER use Caliber Collision even if they were the last body shop on Earth. I'd rather youtube how to fix my car rather than take it to them. read more

(Background / History) The front office help were great. Keeping the customer in formed went smoothly (many emails). Their goal statement is kind of hollow. I have used this collision company several times over the years. They were called MasterTech. I dropped my car off on Aug 16, and it was estimated to be a 5 day repair. I did not get my trucks until Sept 8. I was waiting and paying the insurance piece on my rental car. It should have cost me 100.00 but because of their inability to keep timelines, it cost me 311.00 I was informed several times about the delay. (Waiting on side step brackets from the company where the part was ordered because they sent the wrong one.) I went and looked for the brackets myself online for the company and sent in a suggested alternative to get the parts faster. I mentioned that they should not do biasness with a company that cannot give them firm delivery dates. I could have gone and get my vehicle, and then come back to get the remaining parts installed, (inconvenient) When I pick up my vehicle, it should be 100% complete that way, I don't have to come back or drive a truck with one side strep. This was a frustrating and disheartening experience. Again I suggested that your companies should not order parts from a company that cannot give you definitive delivery dates. (The feeling relayed was when we get it you will get it.) If it will take too long, I suggested ordering the parts from somewhere else. We just had to wait for the part since it was ordered. I picked up my vehicle 9/5 got home and returned it 30 min later. The did not put on the Z71 decal and only installed one new running board when they come in a set of 2. Seemed very dishonest to charge the insurance company 671.00 for 2 running boards and only installed one. I even asked that all the pinstripes be removed when I dropped off the vehicle, that was not done but it was on the estimate and the body shop employee said it would be done. (Improve quality control to ensure everything is correct before the customer arrives. I would recommend checking over the estimate and match the repairs before finalizing the bill.) They will change whatever they feel like doing and then give you a lame excuse as to why, but will not reduce the bill or compensate you because of their errors. (It would have been great if someone would have reimbursed me 225.00 for the extra days I had to keep the rental car, or even suggested making additional free repairs to my truck while I was waiting would have made me extremely happy. This would have cost them, money, time, effort and probably inconvenience. In my opinion, the company is so focused on money and profit, that they did not remove one dollar from the bill. I informed the insurance company about my initial dissatisfaction. They do excellent work, but how they treat the customer needs a great deal of improvement. The shop manager took over and was hospitable and very nice, and so was my original estimator. As professional people, I have no negative comments. (Honest and truthful assessment.) If you use them go over all the items on your estimate, be clear about what is expected to be completed, make sure they install all parts correctly, do not take your vehicle unless it is 100% complete, ask for all of your old parts if you can, contact your insurance company if there is an error on the bill and with your comments. Lastly, contact the cooperate office Kimberly.Parson@CaliberCollision.com about the shop that you are dealing with if you are in Delaware. Honestly, they fixed my truck, and it looked good. They did buff out two spots that were on my truck. I am sure that would have been done any since they have to wash and clean the truck up before delivery. I was satisfied with the work but my confidence in Caliber Collision's ability to satisfy a customer because missed time lines / incomplete repairs, and customer inconvenience needs improvement. They handled everything for me....from the estimate, getting me a rental car, communicating with the Insurance company ( a lot!!) and keeping me updated through each and every step. Tommy the General Manager was top notch and Dylan ( Service Advisor) made everything as painless as possible! Polite and well meaning staff cannot make up for the disappointed I felt when told that "that is the best we can do." A rear bumper replacement on a 5 year old Toyota with no other issues seemed to me a most fundamental skill a body shop of this caliber should have had down pat. But alas after more than 3 week and 2 attempts they do not. read more
