Came here for some late night boba and the drinks didn't really impress. Maybe it was off night but the Calibear Milk Tea just tasted like milk with a splash of black tea and sugar. If you like fruity drinks try the Strawberry Passion Fruit! It was pretty calm for a Friday night but I noticed they had a good amount of online orders so the drinks took a while to come out. They're a pretty large cyber cafe with a lot of PCs and an assortment of board games too.

This place is great for a late-night place to study and hang out with friends - it's also pretty close to my house and it's somewhere that I feel like I'd come more often. I haven't tried out the gaming PCs but it's on my list to try them out sometime. The boba and food here aren't revolutionary, but they are decent and cheaper than other places I've seen with similar food choices. The vibe here is very cute and lofi music plays in the background. Very much a gamer place to be.

really good jasmine milk tea flavor with great texture boba. the owner/front desk worker was super sweet also. cute decorations inside. definitely too expensive though, came out to be around $8 for small milk tea. if the price was more reasonable would be 5 stars.

Came here on a Wednesday night around midnight, and the ambiance was pretty nice. I came here with my friends and we just hungout since it's a late night spot to chat / game. The drinks were pretty gross, I'm not going to lie. I ordered the Rose Tea w/ agar pearls (0/10) - and my friends ordered the Thai Tea with boba (5/10) and the Honeydew Tea with boba (1/10). The rose tea tasted like the LA tap water from my college dorm room. The Thai tea honestly tasted alright, it was nothing amazing or good, but not bad. Definitely tasted like Thai tea but left my friends with the worst stomachaches of their lives. The honeydew tasted like raw egg whites straight from the carton. Like c'mon for $8.19 each? At least be okay tasting. The service was kinda trash too. Definitely would not come again - the boba was life changing in the worst way.

Strawberry refresher get me going for the late-night study marathon.

Love this place. Came here to study and found the space to be super cute. Lots of seats for working/studying. Also has lots of PCs if you wanna play video games, as well as pool tables, etc. Staff are super friendly, the drinks and boba are yummy. Definitely gonna be my go-to spot for late night studies.

This review is for milk tea only. Wow the regular is a tiny cup and has zero flavor, ordered the salted cheese. And it's very expensive. This place is more of a gaming place. No menu also, Jst the ordering iPad w the menu.

New streamlined menu! Please see photos below. I've been patronizing Calibear regularly for the past few months, and it has yet to disappoint. Having good quality is one thing, but consistency is the key. The staff is always friendly, and the vibe is positive. It can get a bit rowdy when the gamers are in full force (typically on weekends), but for the most part, it's pretty chill. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to offer some sort of frequent buyer incentives (Five Stars/stamp cards, etc.) Drink prices are slightly on the high side, but that's understandable because of the overhead, so any assitional perks would be beneficial.

Cool cute place. Like its actually a cool internet cafe with a good aesthetic, real food and drinks with big projector streaming old games and maybe live when it happens. We were looking for boba after 10. It was good! Also logo is adorable haha

Lots of room to sit down, charge laptops and phones and study in comfortable chairs. Also gaming PCs are nice!

I don't see the hype. The boba tea is alright and the customer service is eh. Some of the reviews are questionable.

Ask the Community - Calibear Cyber Cafe

Can you bring your own gaming laptops?

Did you find out I'm curious too lol

Is this a good place to study? I'm looking for a hang out spot to study since the library closes pretty early but I go to school nights so I need something opened late night

This place is open really late, so it's a good spot. It is a gaming cafe, so it's a hit or miss if it will be quiet since gamers will talk with their friends.

What's the pricing for gaming and for the boba?

If you're paying hourly for gaming, by default it's $6 an hour. If you're willing to pay more up front, their cheapest package is $30 for 6 hours (1 free hour of play).…

Do people use this as a study spot or is it just for gaming?

Both! They play music a bit loud but last I was there, she turned the volume down for me and I also brought noise cancelling headphones just in case. There are more tables for gaming though

I totally forgot the names, but the one I ordered had mint in it and was definitely strong! As someone who doesn't drink very often, it definitely hit me pretty quickly, but it was really good and not overly sweet. My friend ordered the drink with the flower garnish, which was a piña colada. It was sweet, refreshing, and super enjoyable. The ambiance was such a vibe, and the staff were amazing. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and consistently checked on us while we were at the bar. Even after we sat down, I noticed several employees walking around collecting empty glasses and keeping everything tidy, which is something you don't see everywhere and really stood out to me. Overall, it was a great experience with chill bar vibes, great drinks, and excellent service. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm looking for a fun and relaxed night out.

If I could give more than five stars I would! It's hard to find a way to describe this place but I…read moredon't think what you may find does it justice! Essentially it's a buncha mini games in rooms that range from physical to mental and pushes you to really listen and work together. Don't expect the grand theatrics of a commercialized space like Bodaborg. But that's what gives it its charm. I've been to a few facilities similar to this in the east coast and have always loved them but Game On has a more thoughtful local feel. We even got a chance to talk to one of the creators Eric and got the lowdown on the place. It's clear when you hear him talk that this place is something truly special. On top of the fantastic service and time, game on was extremely quick and responsive when I emailed and called the next day after I realized I lost my gold bracelet!! I had a suspicion that I lost it in one of the more physically intense rooms... and sure enough James went and found it for me immediately. NOT ONLY THAT! But he even fixed it himself and it was back in perfect condition when I came back to pick it up. This place is great for team gatherings but just be ready to test each others patience (in the best way possible). And I'll be honest but the games are not easy, but that's the magic in it. They're design to make you think and try again and again and again. Game on is probably great for all ages but is especially great for 21+ since you can chill and grab a beer between sessions. If you want something unique to do with your peers, coworkers, and friends I highly rec you spend some time at this local Berkeley establishment!!
