That is about where my plant lingo ends, but you'll be wandering around for awhile just taking in all of beauty. As you can see from the many photos I added, I just could not stop snapping pics. And inside! As a woman who loves plants but does not have much outdoor space, potted indoor plants is where I shine. I could not stop walking around the indoor greenhouse. I am trying to slow down my plant collection before some summer travels but it was really hard not to just immediately bring a cart full to the register. I ended up leaving with a little rosemary plant and basil plant that are both growing strong and doing well. Excited to start cooking with them asap! I came with my friend and her mom who both love to garden and they found many gems (both flowery and leafy). They said that they expected the cost to be a lot higher than it was so that is always a great sign. They also have plenty of different pots for you as well and it looked like you could find anything else you might need for your garden. I found them one day in NYC, learned about them from a floral designer, bc they have all kinds of rare orchids and have an awesome reputation, I didn't realize they were basically my neighbors! Their orchids are local, and because they're not being shipped all over the blooms last FOREVER, I'm talking 6 months, better than a Wegman's orchid and same price. They are extremely friendly and passionate and will help you learn if you are new to growing orchids.. They grow so many rare varieties and hybridize their own. We bought a plant from the speaker from Silva Orchids at our Society in Bedford, NH and the plant…read morehad no name on it just numbers? It looks like a Cattleya to me! The numbers and letters on the stick in the plant are: SO below that 1899 below that 7-15 and below that a line and then what looks like 5 + 17 ? If it helps it was in a very small bot for the size of the plant and root bound as I repotted it right away and it's a good thing I did because there was a lot of dead roots because the bot was so small! I hope this information will help to identify the plant name! By the way the gentlemen the gave the talk was very informative an I believe he was a son of the owner, and he said he was doing the lab work himself for the company!
