A true oasis! Especially if you love all things green and leafy (raises hand). The entire outdoor section has everything you could ever need for your garden: herbs, vegetables, perennials, annuals, flowery plants, leafy plants... That is about where my plant lingo ends, but you'll be wandering around for awhile just taking in all of beauty. As you can see from the many photos I added, I just could not stop snapping pics. And inside! As a woman who loves plants but does not have much outdoor space, potted indoor plants is where I shine. I could not stop walking around the indoor greenhouse. I am trying to slow down my plant collection before some summer travels but it was really hard not to just immediately bring a cart full to the register. I ended up leaving with a little rosemary plant and basil plant that are both growing strong and doing well. Excited to start cooking with them asap! I came with my friend and her mom who both love to garden and they found many gems (both flowery and leafy). They said that they expected the cost to be a lot higher than it was so that is always a great sign. They also have plenty of different pots for you as well and it looked like you could find anything else you might need for your garden. If you are just looking for a new house plant or want to get your outdoor garden started for the season, I couldn't recommend a trip here any more! read more

I reside in the same town as LB Forcellati and have for many years purchased almost all of my annuals, perennials and even a full size tree some years back; which is to say that I have spent thousands of dollars here. Of course I was aware that I could purchase for less pretty much anywhere, and the people who run this place (with the exception of Mr. Forcellati) are rude and always act like you are trying to rip them off, but hey. So, I recently was in need of a gift for a friend and remembered that this establishment also has a gift store. Equally overpriced, but they do have some unique items, if you don't care about overpaying. That is until I purchased a display item as they did not have fresh inventory. I could not believe my eyes when the old lady removed the batteries! Dusty, no box and over $100.00 and you take out the half-spend batteries? I'm done. read more

Update on my walkway: so we have now been through the mildest winter on record and this is what my "bluestone" walkway looks like now. It's peeling, you can literally feel the sand as it disintegrates. I thought the crooked stones were bad. This is abhorrent! Prepare to be ripped off! Got the worst Christmas tree of my lifetime despite spending thirty percent more than I did last year. Spent over $150 on a barely 7 ft tree that was drooping and shedding needles within two weeks. The "store" inside is full of stuff they probably source from the same places as Homegoods but at three times the markup. And their crumbling sign at the front entrance is a disgrace to the community. Don't bother! read more

My husband and I contracted with Forcellati to landscape our new home. We had a $140K contract with them. After they did the work, a lot of plants we got from them died. We had paid everything in the contract and were completely up to date, except for $6K. We were holding the last payment back until they took care of the things that needed replacement. A few months went by and nothing was replaced. We kept getting bills but my husband told them once the plants were replaced they would get the balance we were holding back. A year later they still did NOT replace the items, and in fact had a lawyer contact us! All the while the $6000 balance had grown because they were placing late charges on the balance! They never would speak to us so we could try to work this out. They just got a lawyer. We ended up having to appear before a judge and they won because in the contract it states that you must pay the full amount before they will replace any items. Unfortunately, we trusted Paul Forcellati. We NEVER thought he would do this to us since we always paid him the amount he requested immediately as the job was being completed. A good business man would have talked to us to try to work this out rather than sicking a lawyer on us. Because of this experience we can never recommend Forcellati In addition to all of this, when Forcellati's people were putting in my walk way, they tied a rope between the arbor posts and did not put a red flag on it so it was visible. As I was walking through the arbor I naturally tripped over the rope because I couldn't see it being so low to the ground and I went flying! I never sued them for that and I very well could have since I needed surgery after that trauma! One of my disks collapsed due to that fall! And his men stood around just looking at me! No one came over to me to help me up or apologize or anything! Let's just say that the whole experience was unpleasant to say the least. If you want problems use Forcellati. read more

TERRILE SERVICE AND DISHONEST! They will steal your money and not provide the trees as promised. Our nightmare started on March 28th when I selected the 4 pink stellar dogwood trees for my yard in Spring Lake Heights. I spend alot of time gardening etc, so was was very careful during the selection process to mark trees that were healthy. Next the trees were delivered but it was a classic case of bait and switch. The trees delivered were NOT the trees I selected. These trees were $449.00 each totaling $1800.00 and then there was an added $900.00 planting charge. This was not a cheap purchase. The team assured me these trees that were not the ones selected were just as good. A few weeks later all the trees are dying whereas everything else in my yard is thriving. I called multiple times to get replacement trees and they promised that would happen. I reinstated their payment foolishly after I had put it on hold - it is now mid June, no tree replacements and no one will call me back. SHAME ON FORCELLATI & SONS for their dishonest business practices. DO NOT BUY from this company. They cheated us for $2878.81 - they are thieves! read more

So there's a lot of garden / tree / shrubs seasonal places and this one is pretty good. It's really big and has a great selection any time you come here. During Christmas time the place turns into winter wonderland it's really nice. The staff is really helpful and the guys bring everything to your car even though I tell them I got it. The prices are higher than what they probably should be but it doesn't seem to affect their business at all. read more

I love L.B. Forcellati & sons! I live in a apartment so I can't vouch for their outdoor plants or any of their yard services, but they have an incredibly large greenhouse with a wide variety of plants that I use indoors. I have to budget myself every time I go or I'd buy the while lot! I've shopped at several nurseries and their pricing is affordable and even competitive with big box stores. The staff is pretty knowledgeable and helpful, although sometimes you have to search for assistance because their location is so large. They also have a gift shop with very trendy, unique beach and holiday decor but it is pretty pricey so I usually try to avoid browsing there. The only thing they are missing is fresh cut flowers! read more

I recently bought $544 worth of rhododendrons for my yard (at $59 each) at this business site. One died within a few weeks. I went back to the nursery with photos and my VISA statement to ask the manager for a credit in good faith to be planted next spring. It was denied because I didn't have the exact receipt. I am local, this is a poor business practice. I will replace the plant next spring, but I would never go back to this garden center. Steve S read more
