What's not to love about a little roadside farmer's market? The selection was small but everything was super fresh. The small sugar pumpkins were only $2 each so I maybe went a little nutso but I was feeling the almost Halloween pressure. I also got a few sweet potatoes and a couple acorn squash. The sweet potatoes made for a delicious dinner tonight and I am sure the acorn squash will be just as delish. They had a few fall decorations, some bottled honey and apple cider, etc. A little bit of all the fall things. I'll need to remember to make a stop again the next time I am making my way down this path!

You can probably get better prices on bulk shrubs if you go all the way to Gasko's, but I rarely buy in bulk so this place definitely hits the spot for my needs. They have a cute little meditation koi pond near the storefront. I find the place to be a little disheveled in that if you walk around, beyond the plant and shrub area, you'll find a smorgasbord of trees, pavers, and landscaping items somewhat randomly laid around the property. We've gotten great deals on some of these items... while they may not be featured for sale, they'll work out a price with you. For example, after roaming around I came across a huge oddly shaped paverstone I needed, which was discontinued from mass production, and a (really) old tree which the owner said he could dig out and deliver. Great finds. Anyway, I am glad this place exists, and is nearby.

I requested, if possible, to split the 9 yards as I have a circular driveway and would be easier for my worker. As I attempted to leave my home for a scheduled doctor appointment, to my surprise, I found both entrances totally blocked with mulch! I immediately called the office and explained the situation. The owner, Jerry, clearly stated there was nothing he could do about it. I voiced my concern about not being able to exit my home in the event of an emergency. I suggested perhaps the driver whom was only 10 minutes away could come back and make a path. I was so taken with his "I don't care" attitude especially being an owner. What is more disappointing was his lack of respect. His nasty tone thinking he is superior to everyone else. I wonder if he is this disrespectful to his workers. Jerry, you have alot to learn apparently about customer service and truly you are a poor excuse for a man!!

Only then were we told that air conditioners have a hidden 7-day return policy--something that was never disclosed upfront, only buried on the receipt. The store manager flat-out refused to speak with us, offer store credit, or provide any kind of solution. Instead, we were dismissed and left stuck with an expensive appliance we can't use. The only decent part of the experience was the receptionist, who was polite but completely powerless to help. This location clearly doesn't care about customers once they have your money. Be warned--don't expect honesty, flexibility, or basic respect from management here.

Everywhere I turned on a Saturday morning I saw an orange Home Depot employee apron! All friendly and helpful. Shelves packed and well stocked. And clean and ORGANIZED shelves!! I had to get 4 shelves cut and then later I needed something else cut. Normally that would be a 45 minute process. In both cases wood was cut right away and with 2 different employees. When I am trying to find a certain grill or patio set and my local stores when they are out of product this Neptune store always has it and they send me here. The King of the Home Depot's!

That is about where my plant lingo ends, but you'll be wandering around for awhile just taking in all of beauty. As you can see from the many photos I added, I just could not stop snapping pics. And inside! As a woman who loves plants but does not have much outdoor space, potted indoor plants is where I shine. I could not stop walking around the indoor greenhouse. I am trying to slow down my plant collection before some summer travels but it was really hard not to just immediately bring a cart full to the register. I ended up leaving with a little rosemary plant and basil plant that are both growing strong and doing well. Excited to start cooking with them asap! I came with my friend and her mom who both love to garden and they found many gems (both flowery and leafy). They said that they expected the cost to be a lot higher than it was so that is always a great sign. They also have plenty of different pots for you as well and it looked like you could find anything else you might need for your garden. If you are just looking for a new house plant or want to get your outdoor garden started for the season, I couldn't recommend a trip here any more!
