He was creative with how he wanted to be sure to be first in line for us to feed them.

What a gem! We were searching for fresh farm eggs and came across Generation Pines. This wonderful farm runs on the honor system which blew my mind. It also doubles as a petting "zoo". Bring plenty of change so you can feed the goats and chickens! You can also see pigs and cows. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time there and now will be frequent visitors and buyers of their farm fresh goods. Thank you Generation Pines for opening up your land to the public and allowing us to have local adventures.

They just sell Eggs, Honey, and Firewood. And they also have like feeding/petting zoo thing for the kids. I have never been there but my parents told me that they go by the Honors systems. The guy has a table setup with honey and a fridge full of brown eggs. We have always past buy this place through the years we have lived in the are and finale my parents gave it a chance. They said when the owner realized they where new there, so he stopped his farming duties and came over to them and explained to them that he runs the place on a trust worthy proses where you just take what you need and leave the money in the basket. My dad told me he was a really nice guy and told him, his family has owned the farm since 1936. He also explained to my dad the softener in the honey...he said their was one that was more sweet then the other. Next time I need honey I'm def gonna check it out for myself. Sounds like a really cool place to experience and it's not far from my house. Also the HONEY is really good!!!

THE PERFECT EGG! I've been here twice now, and even though the farm is a little out of my way, will continue to buy my eggs here. I've been looking for great farm eggs in MoCo and finally found them. They look, cook, and taste perfect...better than anything I've picked up at Wegman's. As far as freshness, you pass by the chickens to get to the eggs! Cool factor: You can feed the chicks that lay your eggs

Adorable little farm for your children. Free of charge. You just need quarters to buy food to feed the animals :).

I don't think there was a petting zoo though, if that is part of your childhood memories (I used to go to Tice's & Van Riper's). Our intent was to get a pumpkin to carve (they are a bit pricey!) and some cider. We were blown away, though, by the market, which has everything, including a lot of "gifty" items (chocolate lollipops, coffee, fudge, coffee, etc.) and farm stand produce. We also indulged in the apple fritters, sold in a food truck outside. They were amazing! They somehow combined the best of a healthy, fresh apple treat with fried, funnel cake decadence. We decided that we will be coming here every fall from now on!

Grabbed some organic produce which was all excellent- didn't love that the conventional section was much much bigger and there were less organic options. The bakery though is what brings it up to 5 stars- first of all, wish I had my kids with me because they would have enjoyed the experience. There's a burger window outside, a little cafe inside, a truck 'play structure' outside for little ones with a little slide.. beautiful plants and trees for sale .. the most delicious smelling jasmine plant I wish I took home.. a plethora of truffle cheeses (and other interesting cheeses)... and best of all the bakery. The raspberry cream puff was off the charts amazing. So good that I took a picture of it after slicing to post here. There are things I'd skip (really expensive organic eggs for instance.. rather go to Whole Foods for those and pay less) but otherwise - worth a visit if you're in the vicinity !

To be fair, the prices are great. I purchased a container of organic strawberries for $2, regular blueberries 2 containers for $3, Fuji apples $1/lb. However, ShopRite sometimes have these prices too when they have their sales.... Although their fruit selection was varied and plentiful, the vegetable selection is very limited. There were only some basic vegetables. I ended up only getting fruit. Overall the produce didn't look very fresh, definitely not "off the farm fresh". In fact, some of the produce didn't just look past their prime, but downright rotting. I was going to purchase some plum tomatoes but couldn't find any that looked good. Most had a black rotting ring on top. To my surprise, there were some bok choy but there were so many "holes" on the leaves that I decided not to get them. I wished this was better. I would love to have a fresh farmer's market here but this just didn't do it for me.

They have high end and well as local eateries to suit for all types of desired spending. From June to October, there is the Farmers Market right in front of the Hall of Records. You can obtain not only fresh fruits and vegetables, but you can also find organic produce there as well. Sunday, October 13th, 2019, from 12:00 - 7:00 pm, Downtown Freehold held their 3rd annual Jazz & Blues Festival which took place on West Main Street between Court Street and Throckmorton Street. Companies such as Abel HR, Remax Homeland Realty, The Earle Companies, & New Jersey Natural Gas.Re/Max realtors and CVS, just to name a few, sponsered this event. There were many crafters ranging from hand rolled cigars, many crafted jewelry, handmade dog buscuits, sales of various clothing, soaps, honey and there was even a fire truck for hte kids to get to know what it feels like to ring that bell! Plenty of street food from ice cream to BBQ. How could I fail to mention my favorite, the live bands?! Chairs were generously supplied for those who wish to sit and enjoy the music. Those of us who start feeling the rythme can start dancing. Nobody judges here. I was lucky as I had just finished eating at a local restaurant, A Little Bit of Cuba Dos, my hubby and another couple noticed the Jazz and Blues Fest. By the time we finished our lunch, we crossed over the corner street and started dancing to CMJ Jazz Band. The next time you are in the area, check out Freehold Borough, aka Downtown Freehold and see what events are happening. There's always something fun going on.

Along the hectic Howell highway, you will find a market-and-deli that completely contrasts itself…read morewith its mellow, toned-down atmosphere. Website: 5/5 It seamlessly interconnects many styles of background and sections within their home page alone. The web page became easy to navigate and led me to various other parts of the site, including the Garden Center, the menus, the backstory, and the Harvest at Howell Road. Brand: 5/5 The backstory behind the Twin Pond Farm Market is that it started about 20 years ago, as an extension of the family-owned farm, to sell home-grown products into entrees and meals. They have expanded their products to include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert meals. The backstory gives the Farm itself a sense of poignancy with its roots with an Italian farmer who immigrated to the United States and his family who would manage it. The logo of Twin Pond Farm maintains that simple design with the right color scheme to make it stand out. As such, it always appears in any food-products made directly by Twin Pond Farm. The exterior has the welcoming sight of a red-painted wooded facade of a farm, introducing you to a stone-cobbled entryway into many varying parts, from the vegetable stands to the hardware store to the deli. When we stepped inside the deli, I appreciated the brown floor and the brown tables, particularly since this specific shade of brown felt very warm and welcoming. Ambiance: 4/5 The noise was expected with such a small area, however it did not become so bothersome that it interfered with an important phone call we had to make. The radio playing classic rock songs definitely fitted the mood of the market with a tolerable volume. While I did appreciate the table containing a random assortment of sweets, I did not think that it fitted any purpose and did take up too much room, especially for a part of the market that already makes so much use for so little space. Service: 5/5 The service attended to any of our needs without any problems. Wait Time: 5/5 The service did inform any customers with a sign stating that they may have to wait longer for their meals. The transparency gives the Wait Time a higher score. In my case, I did not have to wait too long for my order. Food: 4/5 I ordered the Hungry Man Special, which consisted of pork roll, cheese, eggs, hash browns, sausage, and ketchup beneath roll buns, along with orange juice. Every part of the dish was well-prepared without having too much grease. The buns did start to come apart and lacked the form needed to contain the ingredients from spilling onto my plate. The sausage definitely had the most profound flavor, giving this sandwich an overall savory taste. Indeed, all of the ingredients had their own flavor, giving the Hungry Man Special a blast of flavor. Wanting to reinvest in my Howell Township community via the local multiplier effect, I decided that I would also buy some Fig-Red-Raspberry-Orange-Ginger Jam--otherwise known as FROG Jam. Just like the Hungry Man Special, it was also packed with flavor, in which case it had a very sweet flavor with subtle amounts of spiciness. Worth The Money?: 5/5 The business works well with other small businesses, in the sense that farmers come to sell their products. Cultivators of the earth are the most valuable citizens, as Thomas Jefferson himself would say; and they show their value by cultivating from the earth many products for sale in the vegetable stands and in the deli. The innovatively down-to-earth selection of jams definitely helps Twin Pond Farm Market stand out compared to chain stores. I love unique food products like FROG Jam that use wordplay, and always look forward to seeing such items in any local eatery. The working class patrons give Twin Pond Farm Market hope. Indeed, there were union workers present treating the deli as their hang-out spot. If a market-and-deli could cultivate a culture within its space, then it would help create returning customers, which definitely works in its favor. I did note that while they did source fruits and vegetables from local farmers, they did source their meats from Boars Head. If I had any personal suggestions, it would be to also locally source any meats if possible. The market is not well-known for catering, but they do offer apple cider donuts for such occasions, and they do have a catering menu on their website. So perhaps they could offer more individualized catering options for specific events, like Birthdays or Graduations. Rating: 5/5 Stars I deeply regret not coming here more before it closes for the winter season. Recommend To...
