We were blown away, though, by the market, which has everything, including a lot of "gifty" items (chocolate lollipops, coffee, fudge, coffee, etc.) and farm stand produce. There's a burger window outside, a little cafe inside, a truck 'play structure' outside for little ones with a little slide.. beautiful plants and trees for sale .. the most delicious smelling jasmine plant I wish I took home.. a plethora of truffle cheeses (and other interesting cheeses)... and best of all the bakery. The raspberry cream puff was off the charts amazing. So good that I took a picture of it after slicing to post here. There are things I'd skip (really expensive organic eggs for instance.. rather go to Whole Foods for those and pay less) but otherwise - worth a visit if you're in the vicinity !

To be fair, the prices are great. I purchased a container of organic strawberries for $2, regular blueberries 2 containers for $3, Fuji apples $1/lb. However, ShopRite sometimes have these prices too when they have their sales.... Although their fruit selection was varied and plentiful, the vegetable selection is very limited. There were only some basic vegetables. I ended up only getting fruit. Overall the produce didn't look very fresh, definitely not "off the farm fresh". In fact, some of the produce didn't just look past their prime, but downright rotting. I was going to purchase some plum tomatoes but couldn't find any that looked good. Most had a black rotting ring on top. To my surprise, there were some bok choy but there were so many "holes" on the leaves that I decided not to get them. I wished this was better. I would love to have a fresh farmer's market here but this just didn't do it for me.

They have high end and well as local eateries to suit for all types of desired spending. From June to October, there is the Farmers Market right in front of the Hall of Records. You can obtain not only fresh fruits and vegetables, but you can also find organic produce there as well. Sunday, October 13th, 2019, from 12:00 - 7:00 pm, Downtown Freehold held their 3rd annual Jazz & Blues Festival which took place on West Main Street between Court Street and Throckmorton Street. Companies such as Abel HR, Remax Homeland Realty, The Earle Companies, & New Jersey Natural Gas.Re/Max realtors and CVS, just to name a few, sponsered this event. There were many crafters ranging from hand rolled cigars, many crafted jewelry, handmade dog buscuits, sales of various clothing, soaps, honey and there was even a fire truck for hte kids to get to know what it feels like to ring that bell! Plenty of street food from ice cream to BBQ. How could I fail to mention my favorite, the live bands?! Chairs were generously supplied for those who wish to sit and enjoy the music. Those of us who start feeling the rythme can start dancing. Nobody judges here. I was lucky as I had just finished eating at a local restaurant, A Little Bit of Cuba Dos, my hubby and another couple noticed the Jazz and Blues Fest. By the time we finished our lunch, we crossed over the corner street and started dancing to CMJ Jazz Band. The next time you are in the area, check out Freehold Borough, aka Downtown Freehold and see what events are happening. There's always something fun going on.

But, even the cake was sickly sweet, almost as if they had added the sugar twice. I didn't attempt to return the cake because I remembered another reviewer saying that she had been given a hard time when she had tried to return something with mold on it. -- Ps: I noticed that their doughnut price was $2.50 per doughnut. I might have been better off buying doughnuts, despite their price. -- Their service was fine.

The backstory gives the Farm itself a sense of poignancy with its roots with an Italian farmer who immigrated to the United States and his family who would manage it. The logo of Twin Pond Farm maintains that simple design with the right color scheme to make it stand out. As such, it always appears in any food-products made directly by Twin Pond Farm. The exterior has the welcoming sight of a red-painted wooded facade of a farm, introducing you to a stone-cobbled entryway into many varying parts, from the vegetable stands to the hardware store to the deli. When we stepped inside the deli, I appreciated the brown floor and the brown tables, particularly since this specific shade of brown felt very warm and welcoming. Ambiance: 4/5 The noise was expected with such a small area, however it did not become so bothersome that it interfered with an important phone call we had to make. The radio playing classic rock songs definitely fitted the mood of the market with a tolerable volume. If I had any personal suggestions, it would be to also locally source any meats if possible.
