Happy Monday my fellow Adventurers!!! I was lucky enough to attend a Yelp Elite event here last year and boy am I glad I did! This place is incredible!! One of those hidden gems for plant lovers like myself! The grounds and story is equally as amazing as the staff and classes that are offered. The plants inside the greenery are gorgeous, healthy, and itching to be given a home. I cannot wait to visit this place during the spring for more plant babies to take home! Everything is so visually stunning that I took a million photos of all the unique and fun plants.

I came here because of the Yelp reviews and was looking for the perfect addition to my home for an indoor plant. The customer service was very good as the owner walked me through the different types of indoor plants, the maintenance and care, and picking the right pot. He even potted it for me and added decorative wood chips! I could not be happier with my Bird of Paradise!!

What a wonderful find. From the road there is a sign and if you aren't paying attention you might miss it so don't pass this great spot. Make that turn you won't be sorry. The greenhouse is full of so many beautiful plants, Exquisite arrangements and beautiful gifts. Visited during Christmas time and I found so many unique ornaments and wonderful gifts for Family and friends. They also have an area with bird supplies, feeders and houses. They offer great classes too. Outside there are so many beautiful outdoor decorations. You can tell the owner and staff really takes pride in their work.

I visited Colonial Nursery in Lincroft, NJ. It is a bit hard to see the driveway as you emerge from under the Parkway. Caution to Waze app users, it will tell you you have arrived while still on the Parkway. They have plenty of parking adjacent to the outside trees and shrubs. It was early December and they had all the decorations, wreaths and trees being sold. The green house was loaded with poinsettias and other Christmas plants and flowers in bloom. Beautiful tropical indoor house plants were located behind them. Kirsty and Mike are a wealth of knowledge and extremely personable. I spent some time talking with the business owner, Dave, who is super friendly. All the the plants are expertly cared for and it really shows. Visit Colonial Nursery for your house plants to total outdoor landscapes.

Rainy day - time for potting plants - small terrace so not a big job! I have driven past the Colonial Nursery a hundred times and finally decided to stop. They are amazing and their selection is awesome! Special thanks to Sean (?) Who helped me put everything in my car and to Pat in the greenhouse for the cool color suggestions!

$2,900+tax.Very underwhelming! BIG BUSHES WERE PREEXISTING &We did the edging/weeding ahead. asked owner 2 see the 10 teeny plants. nada

I had an idea about what I wanted, and Dan pretty diplomatically told me it wouldn't work given my goal, and suggested options.

I requested, if possible, to split the 9 yards as I have a circular driveway and would be easier for my worker. As I attempted to leave my home for a scheduled doctor appointment, to my surprise, I found both entrances totally blocked with mulch! I immediately called the office and explained the situation. The owner, Jerry, clearly stated there was nothing he could do about it. I voiced my concern about not being able to exit my home in the event of an emergency. I suggested perhaps the driver whom was only 10 minutes away could come back and make a path. I was so taken with his "I don't care" attitude especially being an owner. What is more disappointing was his lack of respect. His nasty tone thinking he is superior to everyone else. I wonder if he is this disrespectful to his workers. Jerry, you have alot to learn apparently about customer service and truly you are a poor excuse for a man!!

Very affordable, very kind staff, and they're always willing to help you decide on a plant or educate you if you're unsure about it's needs or if it's a good fit for your garden. Try their honey, it's local and delicious! Don't forget their eggs either, the cardboard boxes they use for their eggs save the planet earth by sparring it one plastic egg carton at a time! Ask about their mushroom compost and Bumper Crop soil, those are my keys for success with my fruit trees

I asked to use the restroom and I was told that it was out of order. I asked the only cashier that was there, a mid-aged woman, what do employees do when they need to use the restroom? Her response was That they use the bathroom when they get home or otherwise they use public restrooms in some park across the way! When I told her that this was a true emergency she told me that there was a Porto potty on the premises and gave me directions to get there....When I finally find the Porto potty it was blocked off by closed gate! So I quickly pick up a few items and rushed to the cash register, And here's the real kicker to the story.... i'm the only one waiting on line and while this woman knows that I'm having a bathroom crisis she proceeds to speak to one of the gardeners and has me waiting for about another five minutes then takes her time strolling back to the register!!!!! I told her that I was so appalled by the treatment that I was getting and that I would write about it on Yelp! So she tried to be nice to me and said that I could use the bathroom on the premises but I would have to mop up any kind of mess! Then she proceeded to tell me, That due to the COVID, They really do not want customers using their restrooms due to fear of spreading the virus! Well needless to say I would have spent more time in the garden centre and spent much more money there providing that I was not in such a hurry to find a restroom! I've been a customer For a very long time and have spent thousands and thousands of dollars in this place sorry to say I will not be going back!

When attempting to pick up the order at the time we agreed on just the day prior, I was told they couldn't find it...after answering 20 questions and showing my online credit card statement I asked for a refund. That apparently was a no no. The 'big' guy who worked their apparently couldn't handle the 'stress' of Mothers Day weekend and literally started yelling at me. Honestly, screaming at me, in front of other customers....unreal. I am a grown man and don't expect to be yelled at. I was more than accommodating during the fiasco, never once raised my voice (and the others in the store know it, as do all the customers who were there) ... Obviously will never go there again. This place is an embarrassment to local businesses. The excuse given (by a pleasant woman when taking my info for a refund) was that they were busy because of mother's day. Perhaps less business will help in the future.

There isn't any place to sit and sip your drinks, but instead of sitting, you can take your latte for a stroll around the shop. This seems like a great place for stocking stuffers and gifts. They have lotions, soaps, candles, holiday decor pieces, ornaments. All things that everyone loves to receive and rarely buys for themselves. If you are in more of a window shopping mood, they have samples of everything. At the cafe counter (also where you can pay) you'll find a small but mighty coffee menu. I got the gingerbread latte and loved every sip. My coworker got the latte with hot honey in it and said it had just the right kick. For a place that doesn't seem to specialize in coffees, they did make two wonderful drinks for us. There was plenty of parking and it looks like they do quite a bit outside (maybe on the weekends?) with the tree lot and farm in the back.

There were plenty of spots on a Tuesday afternoon around 3pm. When you enter you go through these giant barn doors. The inside is a lot of fall decor with candles, bakeware, kitchen towels, all the cute home stuff that makes your house extra cozy for fall. They also have a little coffee area too but I had already gotten coffee earlier so I didn't order any. Although everything was super cute, it was also a bit pricey so I unfortunately only bought some lotion which was really moisturizing and smelled AMAZING. Something I really liked is that you could sample most of the lotions and sprays so although I didn't buy them, I could at least try them out. If you go through the back exit, you enter the farm portion with a little pumpkin patch, donkeys, and sheep! There were a few places for "photo ops" too. If you walk further there's actually a little garden/flower field which was really nice to walk around and take pictures. You couldn't pick any flowers at this time but maybe we could've earlier in the season in the summer. This was a cute little farm that I would come back to for another season to see how they change it up. Although some of the items were pricier I would come back to get something as a gift. I think there's a lot of nice stuff to give for a housewarming and it's good quality too.
