I got to Mountain View Tire prior to my appointment and was able to check in by 7:40am. After a quick inspection of my existing tire, I was told the one I had ordered was not currently in stock, but he had one comparable to it and similar in price. He quickly added if I wanted the same tire, he would be able to place an order for it to be delivered by the afternoon. I immediately felt it was similar to a bait and switch and if tomorrow had not been a weekend where I didn't have to work, I would've just gone with the substitution. I finally agreed to have him order the tire for me before leaving the shop. I received a call right at around 3:30pm that my tire was delivered. I was very pleased with their communication. I was able to have someone bring my vehicle in and he drove back with a brand new tire on my car.

I knew exactly what I wanted, 215/60R16 Michelin Defender2s, but I still needed a shop willing to execute the setup correctly. They handled the unusual fitment without turning it into a problem. The wheels were mounted and balanced properly, the different front and rear hardware was handled correctly, and the car came out smooth and completely vibration-free. The difference is remarkable. The car is quieter inside, much better over broken LA pavement, and still feels planted and sharp at freeway speeds. This was the final piece of a longer suspension build, and their work made the whole setup come together. If you know what you want, or have something outside the usual factory-size tire swap, these are guys I would trust to do the work right.

She called a mechanic's shop and was told it would be about $1400. She called Brian and he told her over the phone that it would be about $1000 but bring it in so he could be sure. She brought the car to him. He discovered the battery was bad and sold her a battery for $200. She was prepared to pay for a new alternator and Brian could've taken advantage of that but he didn't. Daniel took the time to thoroughly inspect the vehicle and clearly explained what they found -- loose rear suspension hardware and a missing trailing arm nut that could have turned into a serious safety issue. What I appreciated most was Daniel's professionalism. He walked me through everything step by step, showed me exactly what was going on, and answered all my questions in detail. He was calm, knowledgeable, and transparent. He also stayed completely professional and never made negative comments about the original installer -- he simply focused on fixing the issue and making sure my vehicle was safe. They properly re-torqued and secured all the suspension components and performed a full alignment to ensure everything was dialed in. Steve and his team got me scheduled quickly, took it for a real test drive, and actually listened to what I was describing instead of brushing it off. They found some toe-out in the front alignment and redid the zero-point EPS calibration -- no charge, since they'd done the initial alignment. That kind of follow-through says a lot. What stood out most is Steve himself -- down to earth, genuinely knowledgeable (especially on shocks/suspension), and not once did I feel like I was being upsold. He cared about actually solving the problem, not just closing the ticket. You can tell he's into these vehicles and wants to be a real resource for the local off-road/overland community, not just another shop. This is going to be my go-to shop from here on out. Highly recommend RPM Garage if you're in the SGV/SoCal area and want a shop that treats your vehicle -- and your time -- with respect.
