We were driving from San Jose to San Diego and our transmission went out in Bakersfield. I was waiting for a tow truck to come and before he came I let him know that my car sat too low and he told me he would still come check it out then we he got there he was rude telling me he couldn't tow the car and I told him well why didn't he call for another tow truck and he got mad at me saying I got an attitude and he pulled off and left me and my two year old baby and told us to find another tow truck company mind you this is through triple aaa and that was my last free call so they had me doing the run around yesterday and I had to end up paying a different company called Omar's towing and they were pretty reasonable with price and got my car on the flat bed with no problems read more

Used this company thru AAA. Set up a time call for pickup. No problem there. But it took 5 1/2 hours fir my car to be delivered? Yes the mechanic is 2 hours away, but it was 51/2 to be delivered. After calling AAA an asking where my car was. 5 1/2 hours later. The driver call to ask if there was any problem with the service? Made up some excuses that the company had him run a few stops along the way. Great customer service an satisfaction.... read more

I got a flat tire and I'm so thankful I was able to make it back to work, where I feel safe. Cal-State Towing is contracted thru AAA. Thank goodness for having AAA! My technician was Shanon. A female in the industry. I was so surprised and she was amazing! Her customer service was over the top. She made me feel comfortable. She gave me a little knowledge. I didn't know that there was a secret way to get your donut. Yah, I have a donut. It was sad but I guess Toyota and Lexus carry full size tires. At the end, Shanon gave me reminders- don't drive more than 50 mph, 50 miles, and turn off my parking break. Shanong gave me tons of stories are she was changing out my tire. They sent some kid out here to jump start my truck didn't know his ass from the hole in the ground and now I've got no power to my truck but hey he told me my new battery is good ignored what I told him and then he instructed me on how to install a battery these guys are the worst or at least this kid is that they sent out if I could give a negative five I would what a waste of time and effort read more

In late Sep 2024 my battery died while in my garage. I called Cal-State Towing thru my AAA membership and Shanon arrived within 20 minutes replaced my battery and even checked my alternator. She was easy to communicate with and professional. read more

Called AAA, connected us with this company and confirmed they had a driver on the way. 1.5 hour later called to see where they were which they began to forward our calls and hang up. Told us it was "too risky" and claimed they had already cancelled with AAA which was a lie. Zero help, zero professionalism and clearly do not care about any type of customer service. read more

On July 25 my daughter had a blowout on hwy 580 by Dublin. Our tow service dispatch this tow truck company. After the 3 hrs wait, the driver couldn't change the tire do to the type of car, but he also refused to tow her car to a gas station or a tire shop. Instead he leaves her and drives off. The drivers name is Alon, aka piece of shit. She then called mom& dad and the tow service again, after another 3 hrs and $450 she was towed home. Beware of these tow companies that we put faith in and they don't vet their employees. Never use this tow company! read more

After My workout, I decided to go get something to eat at Sonic near the Mall view area. well unfortunately that was not the plans due to the fact that I hit a curb..... and boom!.... there went my driver's rear tire. So now I'm stuck on the side of Alfred Harrel highway. So after calling AAA, and getting a few things straightened out and waiting for a little extra long time due to the fact that these were the only people that are open at that hour. I was greeted by a very professional man with a long goatee named Brandon. They got my car on to the deck of the tow truck and helped me get my car back in front of my apartment. I was helping a friend retrieve her truck after it was stolen and towed. I gave her a ride to the impound lot to retrieve the truck. It was a very frustrating day dealing with the insurance company and other issues. The best part of the day was Daniel with Cal State Towing. We were two senior females waiting for someone to come and tow her truck to her house. Daniel arrived, took down the needed information and told us we could leave and he would just meet him at our destination. We got in my car and both said "there are good people in life". They towed my car just with a phone call from Fastrip... no paperwork exchanged with Fastrip no actual face to face conversation with the owner and no written authorization., which is illegal... they didn't write the time frames or fill out my invoice completely... told me I could only pay cash which is illegal too I believe....charged me for 2 days storage when it was only there 18 hours. Which is illegal So many things were off about this situation. I called the police department to see if they were notified so I didn't think it was stolen, they also didn't report it to the police like they're supposed to. Called back to ask what time my vehicle was towed from Fastrip and they weren't able to give me that info because they didn't write it down! I'm pretty sure the situation is what is called "Predatory Towing" I think everyone should know this! It's very messed up! I also wrote a review on the Fastrip as well. The repair shop I prefer was still closed during most of my tow appointment window, and he called to tell me he was going to be a little later so that we wouldn't have to wait around for the shop to open. Ruben is the absolute best! My husband and I got stranded 200 miles from home when our car caught on fire, we had three other companies deny our tow because of the distance (despite having 200+ miles of AAA towing) but Ruben came to our rescue! He drove us almost 3 hours home, he was kind and professional, had an immaculate truck and really helped make the entire awful experience so much easier for us. Watching him maneuver in the tiniest parking lot to load our very uncooperative car was like watching an artist at work! Highly recommend! read more
