One of my biggest nightmares happened while on a road trip. I got a flat on the road! My dad tried tried to patch it up because we had an air pump in my trunk and some patches but the hole was on the side wall so I was stuck until AAA could come to put on my spare. It was a Sunday so all the car shops were closed, we slept at a hotel close by then hit up Tire Man first thing Monday morning to see if they would fit us in. I was already feeling so anxious over the situation but Valerie was so helpful during the process. I don't know much about cars but Valerie walked me through and explained to me the different tires I could get and why. I've definitely been in situations in the past where shops would try to upsell me but Valerie helped me find the best option for our budget. Since I had to wait awhile she even gave my dad and myself suggestions of places to go in the neighborhood while we wait. Honestly she went above and beyond in service and mentioned that she has a daughter and tries to educate others, especially young women about cars so are able to locate certain things in their car in case of emergencies in the future. She was so kind and the whole staff was so friendly. We had our luggage in the trunk but they were went through all the trouble of taking it out, putting our spare back on and our luggage neatly back. I don't live in the area but if you're around Bakersfield, I highly recommend you come here for any of your car needs. I wished I lived closer because service was amazing! read more

Called em up for a couple used 225 65R17 tires They have Used and New, great, how much will those cost me? Around 40 a piece? Not a bad asking price. Gentleman over the phone is plenty patient with me and chipper, like some kind of morning person. Pick them up some breakfast (don't order from Carl's Jr on Real Rd if you choose to get something along the way) and hand it off to them. Got to choose the used tires from a selection they had in the garage and waited about 30 ish minutes, give or take 10 minutes. Coffee and Donuts inside for the wait; interior is kept quite clean as well. Even as I sit here now they are explaining the trouble with other customers' cars concisely and to the point. My tire had a nail and I was calling different tire shops that took walk inns after 5pm to look at my tire that has a nail. This place happen to be close to my work area. The staff were understanding and friendly over the phone when I called to see if they would take me after 5pm. The receptionist kindly told me to shoot over, I was inn and out of there under 20 mins! Les Schwab inexperienced millennials got nothing on these guys who couldn't get 3 simple tire patch jobs right. Called this place to see if they could re-repair their mistakes that I found to be faulty and they were ready for me the same day, 3 re-repairs later at Tire Man and no leaks, still holding. Like how they take the courtesy to show you the job they're doing as they're doing it in the shop also. Friendliest customer service in the business I've had as well. Great place! Very helpful staff! I had a tire problem. It became a saga. Light came on. Freaked me out. I got air at one shop. 3 days later, I got air at another shop. The second shop told me my tires had been over inflated and one was low. 4 days later, the light came on again. I was picking my dad up for an early dinner. He told me he knew the owner of Tire Man and thought it was a great shop. I headed straight there and hoped they were still open. They were open! A nice man approached my car and we asked if he had time to check it. I told him the saga. He asked me to pull it into the shop. Manager came out and assured me they had time to check it and invited us in for hot chocolate and coffee. I waited and worried about the damage. 15 minutes later, the manager came in and said my car was ready. Really?! I asked what they found. He said a big nail. Patched and ready to go. 15 bucks! Wow! Hate to leave this review but I hope It helps someone else from taking their vehicle in for service. Only bugged because the way the older gentlemen burnt my clutch trying to pull my vehicle out of the stall, couldn't figure out how to put it in reverse because I forgot no body now a days knows how to drive manual transmission anymore even tho it's a repair shop? Younger gentlemen started my car for a simple job and left it half ways to work another vehicle but not sure how it works there.. it only took an hour and a half the gentlemen Working there look like they're tired of their job but it was an experience. I was panicked. Waited forever for AAA. Then came the daunting task of trying to find a replacement tire for my primadonna car. Everyone said I would have to wait two days for the tire. One of the best businesses I've ever dealt with. My tire blew off my Mazda wagon driving through Mojave Desert yesterday and unfortunately missed the place because they're closed. I called Bob of Tire Man this morning and he managed to have my tire size available although used but good quality since my tire size is odd to begin with plus I have 300 miles to drive home on emergency. Needless to say, he and his staff replaced both my rear tires mounted and balanced to get me back on the road and did it in less than 30 minutes. Tire Man was highly recommended by a co-worker for my vehicle repair. For the FIRST time ever walking into a mechanic/tire shop, I felt complete trust after talking with them about the repairs needed for my car. (sometimes you just get that good vibe.) Not only were they very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly, BUT THEY WERE VERY HONEST! How do I know this? I had taken my car to a mechanic shop "BIG something" and they were going to charge me $214 for the labor and parts to fix it. THEN they said I would absolutely have to replace a wheel race at an additional $500 to $600!! I know enough about the repair and what it would take to fix it, that I knew they were trying to swindle me for a lot of money. I told them put it back together and I'll take it elsewhere. I then called my co-worker who recommended Tire Man. I purpously didn't divulge any information to Tire Man from the encounter with the previous shady place I went to, so I could hopefully get an honest quote. Tire Man gave me a VERY reasonable quote and I agreed to have them fix it. The repair cost considerably less than what they initially quoted! They could have charged me what they quoted and that still would have been a good deal, but they didn't! I was kinda in shock for their honesty. When does that EVER happen?! Came here early Saturday morning to get tires balanced and an alignment done. Sergio told me I only needed the front end alignment saving me some money instead of doing the full alignment. The staff also found my bushings were loose they quickly fixed the problem for a small fee and sent me on my way. My truck rides a lot smoother now. Will definitely be back.
