To me, it looked more like a cake made by someone who was still learning rather than the finished product of an experienced professional. I completely understand that hand-painted cakes are an art and that no cake will ever be an exact replica of an inspiration photo. I wasn't expecting a perfect copy. I was, however, expecting the overall design, details, and level of craftsmanship to reflect the inspiration and our conversations. This was an important and sentimental occasion for our family, and I chose a professional bakery because I wanted something special that we could look back on and cherish. Today is my third time ordering from her and her cookies are just as good as the first time I ordered from here. My cookies were still warm when she handed me the box. She is not limited to just chocolate chip so if you are craving sugar cookies, peanut butter or a special themed cookie, she can do it.
