Do not ever go here... They charge you a cover charge when you walk in, $11 each. Then they charge you $3 each person for byob fee and $5 ice fee, and some other fees... They also add in 18% gratuity on the tab, but don't tell you that. So you pretty much tip them twice for such a shitty service. We ordered a tropical flavor and ended up getting a minty flavor, and they didn't do anything about it even after we told them we got the wrong one. They even spilled one of our full beers and almost spilled a second, and didn't do anything about it nor did they say sorry. We were only there for an hour or so and my friend and I walked out of there with a $60 tab, and keep in mind add the $22 cover charge to get in. This place is such a rip off, I don't recommend it at all. For what you pay, it is definitely not worth it. read more

I had high hopes for this hookah lounge because of the great things I've heard about it. Yeah definitely wasn't the case for tonight. I completely understand its a Friday night and it's going to be busy and there is a wait, ok cool. They offered us the restaurant next door to wait in. So we are waiting for about 20 mins, we see the people around us being seated....ok. So I can inside and ask and later on to find out it was the owner I was speaking to he said the bouncer goes in order and he would bring us in when it's our turn. Ok cool, I go back to the waiting area, a group of 8 people that came in about 15 minutes after us( I am with a party of 4) all of a sudden gets up and starts to walk into Cairo, this is where I became confused. This is when I get up and I look at the bouncer and ask when would our table be available, I think he could tell I was irritated. He was like ok yeah y'all come too, we follow in behind the the larger party. They are seated and we wait for a couple of minutes to be directed to a seating area. We are placed in this back corner that doesn't even have enough room for our party of four. The owner sees this and just pulls up a chair from an extra table and places it in the middle of the walk way. This is honestly when my friend had enough of the unfair treatment and wanted to go home. We collectively agreed upon this decision. It seemed like a cool environment with nice music but the service is HORRIBLE. On the way out I go back up to the original man I spoke with and asked if I could have the number to speak with the owner, this is when he informs me he is the owner. He was like what is the matter and I went on the explain the waiting and order situation, he goes on to tell me that no one cut us in line and I let him know that I would have no reason to lie about anything like this. I saw it was turning into a back and forth conversation which I truly didn't have time for so I let him know that it was fine I would just write a yelp review( which brought me here). As we were walking to our car the owner comes out and was like ok so now what is going on, once again I try to explain to him that if you are going to have an effective waiting system then everyone should be serviced in the order they come in ( the bouncer who was letting people skip us is standing next to the owner because I'm guessing he knows we are talking about him). This is when the owner goes on to say " well how do you know they aren't our VIP members who have a membership". Interesting....I go on to ask him if this is an option then why wasn't my party offered this option so we wouldn't have to wait in line. He goes on to say " Well you didn't ask". This is when I saw this conversation was going to go absolutely NO WHERE and decided to just leave. As a frequent hookah goer around the surrounding areas to places like Sheesah and had an amazing experience, I hope to possibly go back in the distant future and just pray that the service and management is in a better mood. read more

Used to be my favorite place when they first started up. But recently, it has gone downhill. The owner has a big ego. I come here for the good music. And lately the owner tries to play horrible music that only old people like. He forgot when he first started up, all the young crowd made this place big and the music was great. Tonight, he told the DJ to play only a select type of music that appeals to the older crowd. Everyone started complaining to the DJ on how horrible the music was and the DJ got upset and confronted the owner and pretty much walked out on him. I have visited several hookah establishments in the Dallas area. This place is by far the most expensive and 'cheesy' hookah bars. A box of coals is 25 dollars whereas at most other places, is 20. Also, if you purchase coals directly from Social Smoke, it cost 12 dollars. I can understand needing to make money but, the cost here is horrible. The owner is rude and not sociable. This is one of my go-to favorite hookah lounges around DFW. Good selection and varieties of flavors (I recommend anything with the ice-tip! Blue mist is good too.). Good atmosphere, sexy belly-dancing and food is alright. But the best part is the music! Usually they have pretty good live DJs on the weekends. The place gets loud, people start dancing. GREAT place to bring a group of people! Everything is Egyptian themed (of course) gold everywhere, Egyptian paintings and authentic looking sculptures and etc. There's plenty of TVs around the walls and a huge projector that plays various types of middle eastern music videos if no major sports games are on. Their couches are comfy and nice. My only real gripes about this place are that it's small and it gets packed. So it can become hard to find seating especially if you're bringing a few friends, so might wanna call and reserve a spot ahead of time. Also it gets really hot and humid in there because of all the smoke and people. And the place is nearly completely dark, so it's like smoking in a cave. It can feel like a sauna. Also it can be pricer than other places I've been to. It's overall a very good experience for the first timer of the place or hookah lounges in general. It's definitely a real fun place to be on a late Friday or Saturday night with a group of friends. Other nights of the week are kinda slow here and you don't get the real "Cairo experience" on those days. read more
