a cheese pizza on a plate
Nick S.

My friends, and I stopped in here on our first day in Montreal, and we were so pleased with it. We each ordered a pizza pie, and we're blown away! Being from New Jersey, we were not sure we would find good pizza in this area, but we sure did. I ordered the pizza with prosciutto and arugula, and it was delicious. One of my friends had a plain pizza, which was also delicious. The waitress was very nice as well. A great little hidden gem in Montreal.

Meat lover's pizza

There is a wealth of subpar pizza available in CDN and NDG. This is unfortunately, another example thereof. The pictures online made it look so good. In this case, they were misleading. There are some very nice reviews about the atmosphere in his pub. People talk about solid pub food, friendly waitstaff, sports on the TV's, and a general welcoming and comforting vibe. This may all be true. Different places can hold many different meanings to different people at various stages of life. From my perspective, I've never walked through the door of the establishment. I ordered a meat lover's pizza through Uber eats last night. It came really quickly. It wasn't very good. The cheese and the toppings detached completely from the crust almost immediately. The sauce underneath tasted watery and tart. The crust was thin, but the outside edges had absolutely no taste. I can see how you might gratefully gobble this pizza down if you are watching a game in a bar and already 5 or 6 beers in. At home, stone cold sober, in the harsh light of day, this pizza does not pass muster. Sometimes, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. I can't comment on Solaris as a pub or bar, but the pizza I had delivered was disappointing.

Yes 5 - Amazing service that was timely , helpful, & friendly ! We ordered the arugula pizza and it was fresh snd delicious. House wine -$6 glass and plenty of options of pub food. We'd recommend the pizza - extremely fresh and delicious . We were in a hurry heading to a show st the Segal Centre - our server was amazing helping us get in / out in record time without feeling rushed.

Fried calamari

Been curious about this place for a while and finally decided to check it out. Was looking for a place with both food and a bar and Solaris fit the bill. It's a medium sized bar with a kitchen that serves sandwiches, pizza, salads, and appetizers. The multiple TVs playing both NBA and NHL playoff games was a bonus. Oh yeah did I mention the jukebox and the video slot machines? We ordered a pizza (mozzarella tomatoes basil bocconcini) and the fried calamari with a couple drinks, and to our surprise, everything was solid. Points for the thin crust as well as the hot sauce they gave us on the side. But I think the best part was the service. Super sweet, making sure we felt at home and satisfied. Overall it was a great experience and I think we found our local watering hole.

We stopped at No. 900, a casual Neapolitan pizzeria with several locations around Montreal. This one was especially convenient because it's right next door to the Residence Inn. Since I was joining dinner, we settled outside. It was getting a little cold, so rather than sit on the ground like some sort of common street dog, I remained bundled up in my carrier. Comfort is important when conducting restaurant reviews. Dad ordered the Margherita pizza, which looked perfectly respectable. Mom, however, ordered the ham and roasted mushroom pizza. Ham. Suddenly I was considerably more invested in dinner. The pizza arrived with big pieces of ham scattered across the top, and after what I can only assume was an intense internal debate about whether she really needed all of it, Mom gave me some. Finally. A restaurant review where the critic is actually permitted to sample the food. The ham was excellent. I would have liked to conduct a larger sampling for quality-control purposes, but apparently there are "limits." The humans were very happy with their pizzas, and the warm, freshly made pizza was exactly what they wanted on a chilly night. For me, the combination of outdoor seating, carrier-level coziness and actual participation in dinner made this a successful evening. Dogba's verdict: 4 paws out of 5. Neapolitan pizza: human approved Dog-friendly outdoor seating: yes Chilly-night carrier accommodations: luxurious Roasted mushrooms: Mom's department Ham: SHARED WITH DOGBA Mom's sharing performance: significant improvement Convenience for Residence Inn guests: excellent My career as an Italian food critic: progressing nicely Would return. Preferably during warmer weather. Definitely with the ham.

Montreal now has world class pizza! After many years of coming here and being forced to eat…read morepoutine, smoked meat, great steaks, and Canadian interpretations on various cuisines ... I now have a pizza option that rivals the best of NY, New Haven, and all the rest! Pizza Bouquet is labeled as a hybrid of other styles (NY and New Haven) and they are spot on ... more leaning to the NY version. This is exceptional pizza created by an energetic and passionate staff. I have only been there once, but in that short visit it was obvious that the pizza reflects the people that work there ... creative, fun, unique, and welcoming. They sell several great pies and actually offer both slices and whole pies. I ordered a pepperoni and hot pepper pie but as I sat there I had to get a slice of their upside down pie. While they were both outstanding, I have to say, what I cannot stop thinking about was that upside down slice. That was freaking magical. I would eat it there through because of the complexity and nuances of the actual pizza. Do not let this one sit ... trust me. Overall, this is a destination pizza in my book ,,, welcome to the world of pizza relevance Pizza Bouquet ... you guys do it right. Special shout out to the lovely ladies that danced through the entire preparation of my pie. Loved everything about this place!

New Montreal style pizza…read more Considering I've not heard of or tried "old Montreal style pizza"; just sayin'. The crust, similar to the NYC pie. Thin, gently crisp, some chew and char. Easily foldable. Follow it up with just the right amount of quality ingredients are brought together in just the right proportions with quirky flair. Upside down pizza (cheese first, sauce on top) or stranger still, a double carb potato pizza. Speaking of, the potato pie is so good. All the ingredients from a potato mille feuille with a hit of fresh rosemary and grana padano atop the well made crust. Rich, creamy, nuff said. Equally good the mushroom with its "mushroom cream" (think a thin duxelles) base, rosemary to season and meaty creminis and motz to round it all out. Finally the sopressatta. I mean, come on, who doesn't love a cheese pie made even more complex with goat cheese, honey and grana padano? Sold by the slice or whole 18 inch pie. Inexpensive. Is it better than the NYC pie? No. But it's definitely not as boring either.

We walked in right when they opened and were greeted by friendly servers and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The decor is beautiful: dark and intimate, yet softened by bright, warm light from the windows. Well done to the architect and interior designer; such beauty and elegance. The pizza oven sits in the center of the room, a true gem of a centerpiece. The food was spectacular: fresh, clean flavors, and you can taste the quality. It's a little pricey compared to some places, but given the location, it's understandable. We wanted something creamy, so our waitress, Catherine, suggested swapping in the original sauce, and what a recommendation that was. She was truly amazing. Everything we ate was fresh and hot, from the pizza to the calamari. The spiced oil added a warm, velvety touch, and combined with the pasta, it was pure heaven. They clearly know what they're doing here. If we ever visit Montreal again, this place will be a must-revisit. Our family wants to give thanks to everyone who serves here and makes this BEVO place so special!

Even though there were people bustling about outside of the restaurant boundaries, I felt like the vibe was really relaxed and calm. The location is great - especially if you're a tourist. The prices are reasonable. Service was good. No complaints.
