First a foremost, the coffee here is amazing. I got a Caffe Freddo with Carmel and it just hit the spot with this amazing summer weather. Caffe Freddo is basically just an iced coffee (coffee poured over ice) but the coffee did not taste watered down at all. Lucerne itself is so beautiful so when I saw they had swinging chairs and windowed walls that completely open, it was like a fairytale come true! I also had a slice of their tropical mousse cake. The bottom layer was a coconut meringue that was topped with a thin layer of sponge cake, that was then layered with a vanilla (I believe) mousse - another layer of thin sponge cake, and then a thick layer of passion fruit & mango mousse. All I have to say is: WOW. It was so much lighter than I expected and really was the best pair to a hot summer's day.
