This guy treated my friend and I like shit! We are here celebrating my birthday and we were staying at the Monopol. Our amazing bartender on the rooftop suggested we go here because the bar was closing. This jerk automatically refused us service. There were guys outside that translated for us. I asked him why we couldn't come in and he said we couldn't. Mind you, we are American! This is bullshit and we treat everyone with respect. He's ego tripping and probably have a low self esteem! What an awesome bar. The place was decorated for the winter season, and there was fake snow and massive snowflakes everywhere, but it wasn't cold! win. There were several levels and the place was dark with bluish purple lights. And the music was really really good! We came here before dinner, so it wasn't very busy, but apparently the place gets pretty packed later in the night. It looks like they have sweet parties here too. I'd definitely come again, it was a cool spot. Die Bar war mit schnee schmutzt! Es ist dunkle mit blau Licht und ich denke es ist sehr shon und prima! Die Bar hat viel Stocks und viel Tische. I'm not sure if this is considered a bar or a club, but it was definitely big. I came here on a Friday night and it was one of the last stops but it was still pretty packed while we were there. They played the same type of music as you would hear in the US except for once in a while, they would drop some Spanish songs. The first floor is basically a bar with TVs to watch while sipping on your drink. Then you move down a level where there's more room for people to dance and hang out. Finally, there is a "basement" floor where the main DJ was playing his music and there's a large amount of space for people to dance. It was cool because they had another bar in the basement level where you can buy drinks from, so you wouldn't need to make the whole trip back up to get a drink. The reason for 3 stars is the atmosphere and the crowd. It could have just been that night that we went, but it seemed very divey in my opinion. It seemed like locals would gather up and meet at this bar, and everyone would kind of know each other already. Another thing I wanted to mention was that not a lot of people were dancing on the dance floor, and instead were just standing around. My co worker was one of the few that was getting his groove on, but people would not bite and some were even staring at him like he was crazy. We eventually left because there's no point in being in a dance club if nobody was was dancing. I'm not sure if I would want to come back again. We were waiting for the train to Lausanne and wanted a beer. Next to the train station (and McDonalds) was the Roadhouse bar. We sat outside and had a couple of beers. It was quiet and relaxing. Inside, there are three floors but nothing was going on since it was around lunch time on Wednesday. The barman was friendly and the beers were welcoming on such a humid day. When first entering it looked like a fun and young atmosphere. When we went to order a simple rum and coke it cost us 21 each. After that we decided to just order a pitcher of beer to save money. We found an area where we could set our beers. Both of our beers and the pitcher vibrated off the ledge due to the angle. Large space with 3 different "floors" the bottom area being the dancefloor. The lower levels are really dark with poorly lit stair area that could lead to a tumble! Especially once you have a few drinks in you. We went on a Friday night- and as usual, the dance floor doesn't get crowded until 11pm. Prior to 11- just small corner clusters of people dancing until everyone decides to filter in. I would say the age of the people ranges from 20-30...and the music is really varied between 90s hip hop to euro pop, to a few current U.S. Top 40 songs thrown in. read more
