I have to admit Tijuana is pretty run down when you compare to San Diego but I will give this breakfast spot four stars. It's right on the beach, the prices are super cheap and the service was quite well. Food: I got the chilaquilles and they were okay. The sauce was very tangy, it wasn't spicy at all. I would really give the meal like a three stars but the view gives it a four star review. When you cab have breakfast right by the ocean what else can you ask for. Again don't get it confused this is not like San Diego. We are in Tijuana so don't expect the nicest roads, the nicest views, etc. Lots of people walking by, running, riding their bike, etc. I also saw people with your dogs as well. I didn't get a chance to try the coffee but I will get that next time I'm in town. I think the pancakes for probably the best part of the meal. Also the price. Where can you eat for like $3.50. I mean the food is dirt cheap in Tijuana. I would definitely go back for some hot coffee or something like that. I don't think the food is the greatest. But it's definitely not the worst. Kind of like a middle of the road. The people that work there very nice. They don't speak English so if you don't know Spanish may have a bit of a challenge. This is a run down but cute cafe right at the beach. There is an outdoor front area/side area, an indoor space as well as a rooftop space overlooking the beach. The breakfast was average but tasty. I ordered an extra side of English muffins and they came with so much butter it was great to indulge but they don't toast the muffins, they only warm them up. I like to hear a crunchy sound when I'm hitting into English muffins. read more

The ocean view is what makes this place great honestly. Dog friendly cafe which is cool too. But at the end of the day, it comes down to the food. The food is mediocre and takes them about 40 minutes to get 2 orders ready The girl who is usually on the register is weird and will bring her personal issues to work, which also means you get a side of attitude with your food. Potatoes are EXTREMELY salty, even when you order with very little seasoning. And their ketchup is like gloopy chamoy. The dessert that is displayed out looks so delicious but they aren't good either. Tried this place out 3 times before deciding to not go again. Our last experience was the worst. Wish this visit was great like last time but unfortunately the waitresses were beyond incompetent. I ordered a strawberry smoothie for my son and when I noticed it had been 30 minutes I asked about it and the girl had no idea. Cafe Aquamarino is an awesome place tucked away at the south end of Playas de Tijuana. Really couldn't ask for a more perfect location. They're right next to the beach, outside tables downstairs and a quant/relaxing rooftop deck with comfortable couches and tables. Food and drinks were delicious and prices were affordable. read more

Man- my favorite of all time chicken sandwich. I don't write about food rather than services sometimes but both were fabulous and delicious at Cafe Aquamarino. Chicken tinder was juicy and soft enough you could taste how much time it had taken. Their location by the other side of the border right by the Pacific Ocean is gorgeous. read more

Can't beat the views of the ocean, especially from the rooftop terrace. The reason they get three stars is because the food is average and the service was not very good. Very filthy place. All the chairs and tables are full of stains and dirt. The floor has tiles missing and the ceiling has mold and is falling down. The worst part is the kitchen. I got a glimpse of the kitchen as I was going upstairs. Dirty counters, trash on the floor, overflowing sink. The tables outside and on the second floor are all rusty. The owner lady is rude once she knows you are paying with credit card. Is the view really worth getting food poisoning? read more

Came on a Friday night and it was pretty full, but they have SO much seating space inside, the upstairs terrace, and outside. Considering that they were packed, they were super fast. We had caramel, Nutella, and cream cheese crepes and they were delicious! The Oreo frappe and cappuccino were also very good. The cashier and waitress were super attentive and friendly. They were constantly cleaning the tables after a party left, so the coffee shop was very clean. Overall, would definitely come back. :) Update: Came back on a Tuesday evening and it was nice. Ok this place was good for a few things, first of we stayed around 10 feet feet from there so it was close. The customer services was good, the seats were ok, the coffee was ok according to my wife, and the food was ok too the chilaquiles plate was stale, however I feel bad stating this because the prices were ridiculously good. Their Grand Slam breakfast is the go to here. Sausage, eggs, chilaquilles, and two hotcakes is all thats needed really. Their coffee and chai lattes are also tasty. Their rooftop view is gorgeous plenty of seating. The service was great. My boys also loved the breakfast burritos. read more

Excellent breakfast. My eyes were a little bigger than my stomach so I ordered both a crepe and an omelette. Both were phenomenal! The potatoes had a little too much seasoning for my liking, but don't change a thing. The chai latte was so good we order seconds! My only complaints: the knives are too full to be effective and there's several trash bins over flowing on the curb which ruins the ocean view. We also got overcharged a dollar, but we're chalking it up to exchange mishaps rather than because we're white with shitty Spanish skills. read more

There were several little cafes to explore on the boardwalk but for some reason this one caught my eye. We did a drive by first and noticed an extensive menu as opposed to the other cafes which was what we wanted, a nice breakfast with an ocean view of course. I had a veggie omelette with potatoes and a latte, while the bf got a nice breakfast sandwich with an americano. I believe the total was 11-13 bucks or so. I kept wanting to leave reviews for this place on trip advisor, but it doesn't exist on their site unfortunately. We sat inside initially and had a great view of the ocean. The service was a bit slow but was well worth the wait. The other part that was meh, was that the bf wanted a mango smoothie for the walk and apparently the blender died after they took the order, but they gave us OJ instead, freshly squeezed and returned us the difference. read more
