Excellent service and quality ingredients. Carefully crafted drinks made to order. I ordered the chilaquiles rojos for myself. However, I started with an americano and croissant while the chilaquiles were being prepared. The croissant was hard and cold but dunking it into my coffee solved that problem. The chilaquiles rojos tasted a little like mole chilaquiles but I really liked the presentation especially the colors. The French toast plate was huge. We couldn't even finish it all between my daughter and I. Very sweet and tasty, the bread tasted like syrup. The only thing that bothered me was that I waited one hour for the check! Finally I got up and went to the counter and they acted surprised that I wanted to pay already! read more

Visiting from NC and we spied this place during our exercise on the boardwalk. The food was fresh, original, and filling. We both had the grand slam and it was delicious!! Stumbled upon this place and I have never been happier with my find!! I was driving around Playas looking for a good coffee shop that wasn't Starbucks or D'Volada. Found this place and saw that it was open, so I went in. This place is exactly what my beloved Playas de Tijuana needs, great juice, smoothies, chai teas, lattes and teas for everyone. They have the classic options and they have the health and nutrition conscientious kind with collagen, spirulina, mate, etc you name it they have it. They make their breads in house too, different types of jams, you can purchase some of this stuff to take home or to enjoy there. They have a full breakfast and lunch menu. I will definitely be coming back soon. I ordered a mate Canela latte and it was delicious! Brought home some bread too! read more

Out of all places in TJ, right? It was a pretty cool find and I think it is a must! This is a small, very clean café with friendly staff and serves organic food and drink. My girlfriend and I did not get to try any of the plates, but we did order the apple danish. Besides the 2 that I ate at the table, I took 3 more home. We also ordered the kombucha sampler which was delicious and all brewed by the café. They were nice enough to let us sample what flavors we're available before we picked out our three! Nice little organic food shop and cafe. They sell spices and natural food products as well and they also serve sandwiches and Acai bowls. Also freshly ground coffee if you're a coffee drinker. Prices are still reasonable for healthy stuff and being by the beach. they will also accept credit cards without a surcharge. pet friendly as well. My girlfriend likes getting the different kinds of cheeses and the chocolate covered coffee beans here. read more

STOP, You have found the best coffee in Tijuana. They make a great "cafe americano", their "Lattes" are wonderful. They have a variety of flavored lattes if that's your thing. I have been here for 2 weeks so far. I really like their store at 431 Pacifico. What a great vibe. They sell a large selection of bulk organic herbs, spices, etc.. If it's to wet or cold I go to their cafe across the street at 490 Pacifico. Their pastries and breads are soooo goood! The also grill up super meals, you name it. Breakfast, lunch or dinner. I have had a couple of their hot breakfast, super. They roast the coffee bean in house. I think it's organic, from Xico, Veracruz. Just when you think it can't get any better, you meet the staff. They are so wonderful. Ok, so here's the deal, if you come to Playas de Tijuana and you like coffee, then you owe it to your self to step inside Huerto Urbano. read more

Coming from the other side of the border, where organic and natural foods the latest trends in the food industry, I was happy to see similar organic, natural and health store in Tijuana. They offer various products that are claimed to be organic such as eggs, dairy products, poultry, herbs, and jams. The downside of this establishment would be the customer service. Upon arrival there is a older woman who doesn't greet you or when you have questions, you feel criticized, and was rude. The lack of quality customer service makes me want to spend my money else where than this establishment. Hopefully she is more humble, and makes an effort in her approach of the people who are interested in spending money in this business. read more

what a charming little store in the "pier" they have artisanal cheeses, bread, teas and so much other stuff. It not only carries delicious homemade jams and wines, but it is also a really pretty place to have a tea, a coffee or even a sandwich. I bought a few items here and brought them back with me to the US and I hope to come back to restock. Employee was so informative and so sweet. read more

This place is...alright. I would say that if you were planning to go to the beach anyway, and needed a few organic items, it's a good option. There are lots of dried items and packaged basics, such as cocoa, coconut, grains, dried tortilla alternatives, dried items, natural cookies, eggs, and a few refrigerated items, such as mayonnaise and natural yogurt. For what she has, the items are pretty good quality. The proprietress has an interesting manner. For a shop owner, she could be more welcoming and friendly, and I understand why another reviewer found her rude. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I would say that she has a very strange habit of looking at you as if you are crazy when you ask for items she doesn't have (or maybe hasn't heard of?), even when they are items readily available in the area and common in Mexican cuisine. Twice, we asked her for basic health food items (one was a grain), and she reacted as if we were sort of bizarre and gave us a look as if we were making something up. Her behavior suggested that we didn't know what we were talking about or didn't have the Spanish right, which lots of folks would find condescending. So, both times, we headed over to another health store over on Paseo Ensenada, and they had exactly what we wanted, without the crazy look. We still bought other items from her, but I don't think I'd rush over here again, now that I know of two other good places not far from her location. Also, count your change really, really carefully. She has a bit of a habit of rounding up. We are pretty sure we were taken for about 20 pesos. While it's true that isn't a lot, we all work hard for our money, and it's the principle. This is actually the reason we won't be headed back again, but maybe others will have better luck. read more

Friendly shop keepers and a pretty good Caffè latte keep me coming back. They have some quite interesting Mexican chocolate bars as well. It's my "regular" while spending a few weeks on the ocean here. read more

Honestly food here is so amazing and healthy. We had quinoa salad with lots of avocado. The ciabatta de carnes was delish!!!
