Seattle is known for it's lattes and so far none of it's lattes can beat Portland's Stumphouse Cafe in the Ace Hotel, until I entered Zingaro. No kidding, I tried 5 different coffee shops while I was here , Pegasus, Uptown, Tully's, these 2 other places that i found on yelp! and was disappointed because I thought " wow maybe portland does have it better." Zingaro proved me wrong, I ordered the Hazelnut Latte and it was delish, the tastes was smooth and velvety with the right amount of sweetness, I love how the tastes of the latte melted into my tongue and leaves me extremely satisfied, mission completed, Seattle does have the best latte and the award goes to Caffe Zingaro! read more

I love this place. The coffee is incredible and doesn't taste burnt like that in many of Seattle's roasting establishments. They have a nice selection of food, both sweet and savory. Quiet hole-in-the-wall type coffee joint. We got there around 11a and there was a single employee there. He was really chill and made drinks for my party of 4. Really friendly staff, great panini and amazing coconut cake. This a great little neighborhood spot, easy to come in for lunch, grab a table with your laptop and eat. The caprese panini & the Italian are my faves -- but they must always be finished by a miniature coconut cake. It's incredible light and fluffy, good flavor and moist... only downside to the coconut cake is it is very popular and often has disappeared from the case by late afternoon. But the raspberry chocolate mouse cake is worthy runner-up. I am not a coffee drinker, so I can't comment on that (apparently they use Lighthouse which I have been told is good) but their pots of tea, especially the licorice, make a great compliment to lunch and coconut cake. read more

I've never had a bad drink at this place. I love walking into this cafe, ordering a drink, grabbing The Stranger and sitting by the window to review what's new in Seattle. There is always good music sliding through the speakers here, the local art on the wall is interesting, and the employees are constantly in a good mood. I catch the #30 to school every morning and Zingaro just so happens to be next to the bus stop. Convenient. I've been coming here for 4+ years. The baristas have been working here (i might be at ZIngaro right now...) for double that. Coffee is good, atmosphere is pleasant, they're open late on weekends. Honestly the best coffee shop I've been in Seattle. You can tell the amount of dedication in making each coffee from the art works, no matter how busy it gets. I LOVE this place. I frequently have time to kill in Queen Anne, as I nanny a girl who dances at PNB down the street. Giant coffee mugs that remind you of the days of NBC's Friends. Couches to curl up on. It gets decent traffic, but I can always order quick and find somewhere to sit. Only thing I dread about coming here is the bathroom, which definitely needs an update. read more

This is a coffee shop that I like to visit when I just want to settle into a seat and browse the webs (free and fast wifi) or read a book. The counter staff are always friendly and service is great. It's coffee -- so I won't make it overly complicated. Simply put -- THE best coffee in Queen Anne. Their house brew is that rich, dark velvet texture - the owner is super friendly and kind. They have so many varieties of Teas that it's the one 'coffee house' I can go with my Tea drinking friends and they dont' feel they've compromised for me. :D LOVE them! read more

I love this place, they make great coffee! Sadly they are often out of pastries for days after a big weekend festival. But if they have it, the walnut and rosemary shortbread is a divine accompaniment to your coffee. I wish there were music playing regularly to cut some of the travel of conversations from table to table. But the prices are good, and so is the service. I like to sit at the counter by the window and read. A great neighborhood spot. read more

from my one experience here their coffee was pretty good, but i have had better shots elsewhere. barista was rude, and seemed to not want to help me. the interior was kind of bland and cramped. i also felt it gave off an air of dirtyness. hmmmm And it didn't seem have very good/interesting views to look out to from the windows. ( i don't expect a side wall of a grocery store to be very intriguing) over all its not really a very inviting or cozy place to talk, work, or relax... so two stars for this place because i believe when buying coffe you aren't only paying for the drink, but the whole experience; building, atmosphere, and service, etc. read more

This place served a good cup of coffee indeed, but I wished that there was nice music. Freshly grilled caprice got excellent quality of mozzarella cheese in it. The food was served on a nice dinner dish, and they got actual glass cups for water. Nice! read more

I live in the nieghborhood and have been here 3 times now. Each time i have only ordered a drip coffee, but it has to be the worst drip coffee i've ever had. Its watered down and has a funky taste to it. I gave it a 2nd and even a 3rd chance, but no more. Their lattes may be good, but if you are looking for a cup of drip you would have better luck at a gas station. Service is only slightly better than the drip... Maybe there is a reason this is the only place in the neighborhood without a line in the morning. read more
