I cant believe that a zillion years ago I wrote a review and it was not favorable!! This is my absolute most favorite breakfast place - all the drink concoctions and gorgeous presentation. The absolute delicious consistency of my special order prosciutto eggs Benny - best way to get rid of the Sunday scaries or at least hold them off for a bit. Love sitting at the bar best - thank you for always taking care of us
Loved this place! The decor, high ceilings and ambience were the perfect setting to meet my YE friend, Shanina, in person for the first time! Our server Ayana was lovely. She let us take our time ordering as well as sit there chatting for a few hours. The menu was a Greek Mediterranean flare serving breakfast and lunch only. We ordered: *Mango Ice Tea 5/5 *Prosecco 5/5 *Chicken Tuscan Pressed Sandwich w/roasted red peppers, provolone & pesto 4/5 *Kielbasa Omelette 4/5 Seemed like a great neighborhood place. A lot of regulars having lunch. ~kid friendly ~full bar menu ~baked goods ~outdoor patio in front ~serve breakfast & lunch ~street parking only
I decided to come here for breakfast while I was in the area and I have no regrets at all! I'm in love with the food and service here! (Visited 3/11) Ambiance [4/5]: Minimalist style design, it's nice, Theres also pretty lighting and a good amount of seating with an open bar as well. Food: Trix latte w/ whole milk (seasonal): [4/5] Tastes like a bowl of cereal from a cup. Topped with whipped cream it's really delicious! Tastes like a cup of childhood. Theres a good anount of cereal in the cup alongside the ice so it feels like you get a good amount of sips before the drink is done. Other than that it's still pretty good nonetheless. Sin-A-Bun: [5/5] This is very delicious, it's a perfect mix of sweet and savory. The smokiness from the bacon surprisingly compliments the cinnamon roll buns. Good concept and executed perfectly. If there were an option i'd choose that over having it on the side. Surprisingly I didn't notice it on the side on the sandwich until I was half way through. Still delicious though. Challah french toast [5/5] Tasty and sweet. You can't go wrong with french toast. I added strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and Nutella drizzle (each topping is $3 extra). It was worth the price it was delicious. It came with a side of butter which compliments the sweetness of the toast and some syrup. I didn't use much of the syrup but it was still delicious when I did decide to use it! I wouldn't order this because for delivery because its one of those things that taste so much better fresh in front of you rather than waiting to he dropped off. Service: [5/5] Fast and efficient service! The restaurant works as a team. One man sat me, The middle eastern girl with the long sleeve black shirt took my order and checked on me, and the white boy with the arm tattoos and pen between his ear checked on me at times, and cleaned my table while the girl was busy. It's great to see everyone helping each other and not letting anyone suffer. I Loved it! Overall Cafe social, is a great restaurant to stop by if you plan on going to the mall. Not only is it a 8 minute walk but you're also given a great meal and overall greater experience. I see myself coming back here if I'm ever in norwalk looking for a quick bite!
Stopped by Cafe Social for their Father's Day brunch -- it was packed, which gave it a lively vibe. The food was solid; I had the egg wraps and tried one of their lavender drinks, both were really good. However, service was a bit off. We had to wait quite a while for milk, and by the time it arrived, the coffee had gone cold. The staff seemed overwhelmed and not very attentive, which took away from the overall experience. Good food, but they need to improve the service -- especially during busy hours.
After a trip to the aquarium- we stopped in here for lunch. Fairly large menu to choose from. The place has a nice, cozy but trendy vibe. Service is attentive and food came out fairly quickly. A large menu of speciality coffees and cocktails that definitely looked interesting. I tried the avocado toast Benedict which was served with a side of sweet potato. The Benedict was a nice combo of flavors and filling. The sweet potato was meh and not fries so I would have preferred greens or real fries. My daughter got the pancakes and they were delicious! There was no dedicated kids menu but enough choices.
We stopped here because they allowed dogs in the outside seating area. Service was okay...sometimes great, but sometimes wouldn't come for a little bit. Mango lemonade was delicious!! Food was good, but somehow the bill escalated quickly. I wish they had a kids menu; and when I ordered a side of eggs, a side of bacon, and a side of sausage it ended up costing almost $30 (for a kid). So ultimately, I'm not sure if it was worth the cost.
S'mores Latte for me and Strawberry refresher for my daughter. Both super yummy. Would love to go back and try their breakfast menu. Casual atmosphere. Only downside is parking.
My friend brought us to Caffe Social. I am very pleased to say that my morning was spent well and savor-able. I was greeted by the kind staff and my food and drinks were brought with care. The food itself was great, my money was spent well, and the food was worth coming here. I was very satisfied and enjoyed the food and while enjoying the food I noticed the place itself is very cozy and has a very rustic-modern look to it. Glad to say that I will be coming back to try the other great things in the menu!
"Through the long lonely nights, she filled my sleep Her body softly swaying to that smoky beat Down on Mainstreet" (Bob Seger) On Main Street in South Norwalk, you'll find the Caffe Social, a very cool coffee shop with a hipster vibe. They have a big menu of breakfast choices like eggs, pancakes, waffles, plus sandwiches, salads, snacks, pastries and more. But the real stars of their show are the coffee drinks - hot and cold lattes, expressos, chais, all sorts of chinos, teas, hot chocolates, and a ton more. The interior is very eclectic with a mix of rustic board siding, upholstered walls, blue paint, exposed aluminum HVAC ducts, a big blackboard column listing the drink specials, trinkets and wall hangings all over the place and behind the bar. One very cool feature was a display of the ubiquitous white plastic coffee cup lids that were hand painted into smiley faces, superhero logos, flags, flowers and more. They also have a very nice outdoor seating area with umbrellas to sip your summertime cold brews. We stopped in for a snack and beverages yesterday and ordered a Toffee Nut Latte ($8) with espresso, toffee nut syrup, milk, whipped cream, and Heath Bar crumble, a Pistachio Cold Brew Bliss ($8.50) with pistachio mocha cold brew, pistachio cold foam, and crushed pistachios, an Herbal Tea ($4.50), and a Cinnabun $7.95). My Pistachio Cold Brew was delicious with a deep coffee flavor, and plenty of pistachio syrup and pistachio pieces in my glass. If you're looking for a fun breakfast or brunch place, and are a caffeine lover, you'll definitely enjoy your visit to Caffe Social.
came here with my mom and my sister after stoppping at 2 different places beforehand that had long waits because it was sunday monring brunch hours. we were seated almost immediately which was wonderful but that was the quickest the service was throughout the whole time we were there to be frank. nothing really stood out to me on the menu but I did get the pumpkin smores cocoa which stood out to me the most because I am the biggest pumpkin spice fan and I also wanted hot chocolate which was great. but then I took a sip and probbaly two more and then no more after that because it tasted like diabetes in a cup. but I guess I should have expected that if I was getting an already sweet hot chocolate, whipped cream, marshmallow fluff, and drizzled pumpkin sauce so it's nobody's fault really but mine (I guess). I got the basic batch dish that comes with your choice of eggs, home fries and toast. probably the cheapest plate which is like 11 bucks but then I asked for bacon and it was like an extra 6 bucks? whatever honestly as long as the bacon was good, right? wrong, because the bacon was bland. everyone loves crispy bacon but mine was crispy in the way you would say "burnt to a crisp" type of crispy and not bc it was burnt but because of how DRY it was. and do not let the pictures fool you, I am very talented at taking pictures so the food might look good in the photos but I am telling u, it was not that great in my mouth. you might be saying that I could have just made this plate at home to my liking, but also, if you are cooking this meal to serve to someone else, I think you would at least try to make it good? maybe I am biased because I was having a rough morning and it might have affected my liking to the food, but it is now 9pm when i am writing this and I am still upset with what I ate so maybe I am not biased at all. I asked myself "how could someone mess up bacon?" but what I really should have been asking myself is, "how could someone mess up TOAST" the toast on my plate also came with probably the whole stick of butter spread on it. the same way you would squeeze a sponge full of soap and water when you are washing the dishes was the same way it felt when I picked up the soaked toast to put in my mouth. and do not get me started on the home fries. when I ordered home fries I was expecting regular pan fried soft fries (as one normally would when they eat home fries) but of course, the home fries were not normal home fries but rather french fries just shaped as home fries. now, I was not in the kitchen watching them make the home fries so I could be wrong but these fries had the consistency of DEEP fried fries NOT pan fried. but just as much as I could be 100% wrong, these "home fries" were also 100% wrong. the only good thing on this plate were the eggs Maybe if I hadn't ordered the culinary equivalent of a participation trophy, I wouldn't be in this mess :/
Wonderful place for brunch! There are so many drink/breakfast choices that you can't go wrong... picture shows a pumpkin hot chocolate which was perfect for a chilly fall morning.
Constantly saw this place in my instagram feed and finally decided to check it out! I loved all of their options for Valentine's Day drinks whether it was a latte, hot chocolate or cocktail! The Benedict was really good and loved the side salad that was with it. The gyro was unbelievable! The meat was extremely tender and we never thought of a gyro as a breakfast item. 10/10 would go back just for that! Staff was extremely friendly and the cafe had this cozy at home feeling
Had an amazing time at this restaurant definitely well worth it if you ever in the area to check it out the atmosphere was really nice. Had breakfast here for my fiancé for her birthday. She totally loved it. The service was really good. No delay with the food. It came out very hot. I definitely would recommend this place. It's totally worth it.

My husband gave them 4 stars because he liked the attentive waiter. He so kind! Upon arrival it is a little confusing because there is no one outside to direct you. They are very good at spotting you and coming out to greet you which is nice. They come out with masks on and you can eat outside or inside. We choose outside. That is where my comfort level is these days. We began with a Chai Latte and Honey Almond Latte. Delicious! Highly recommend to begin with either one of them. We had a custom order. We wanted bacon, eggs, home fries, and challah french! Bacon was crisp and perfectly cooked. Not too done so you could still enjoy the flavor and not oinking at me. So good! The eggs were farm fresh delicious! Very well flavored and cooked just right. French toast was very tasty. I have never seen challah bread shaped like Texas toast but the waiter insisted it was challah. No matter the shape or texture we were hungry and it disappeared. Overall a very pleasant experience and meal. read more

This place is ADORABLE for a breakfast date or just breakfast with friends. The spot is super hip & the menu has something for everyone. I got an iced salted caramel latte. It wasn't overpoweringly sweet which was nice ! I ordered the salmon & avocado on a sesame bagel. It has this delicious avocado lemon spread which pairs so nicely with it. I'm a huge egg white fan & it came with egg whites already! The red onion gives it a nice crunch & flavor! My boyfriend and I split the pancakes & they put a butterscotch spread on it (which was a special but they had some left!) & we topped it with fresh strawberries, blueberries & bananas. The pancakes were fluffy & the fruit was perfectly ripened & sweet. Everything about this place was spectacular & surpassed my expectations. Will be back again!!!!!! read more

Came here for brunch after a visit to the Maritime aquarium based on other reviews. It is a nice place with a good selection of breakfast foods. My son had pancakes with fruit and Nutella and I had an omelette. The food was presented well and was tasty and our waitress was very nice even though she was busy. The latte was also good. read more

Was in the area and in the mood for breakfast so my boyfriend and I decided to eat here! We were NOT disappointed. Between the extensive coffee menu (I highly recommend the Nutella latte- it's like grown up chocolate milk) and the huge portion sizes, you will 100% want to return. Frankly, I wish I lived locally because I can tell that this would be a solid brunch spot to add to the rotation. Great food, great staff and great price! read more

I probably walked in with overly high expectations. Or maybe I just didn't order the right items. Below are the things we ordered: Matcha Latte with coconut milk. Matcha latte is my go-to drink whenever it's on the menu but it looks like it was breaking apart. Didn't look and taste like latte at all. No foam on top and no latte art. We sent it back. Smoked Salmon Avocado on Everything Bagel. The bagel was barely toasted. It tasted plain to me. Bacon Cheese Omelette. The hash brown is AMAZING. Can't have enough of it. The rest is good but nothing too special. We might try it again and order something else the next time we are in the area. read more

Loved it!! From the second i walked into this place it felt super cozy and welcoming. It's a really cute spot with great decor, food, drinks and music! This place looks like somewhere I'd find in Los Angeles not somewhere I'd expect to see in CT. I can't wait to introduce Caffe Social to my friends and family had a chance to meet the owners as well and they were extremely sweet! read more
The food and drinks here were amazing!! So many options for coffees, hot chocolates, they had a yogurt bar, and a pretty extensive menu. I also loved the eclectic vibe. My only critique was the staff had a little bit of an attitude, but it was early and they probably didn't have their coffee yet read more

Small and cozy, just perfect for breakfast , clean and very attentive service with friendly manner. I appreciate for the kind and smile. We all enjoyed our coffee and Breakfast. We even went back to have snacks literally after few hours walking in Downtown and Mall. This place was busy and I can tell everyone is enjoying their breakfast and coffee. Update on my last review: Since eating at Caffe Social on several occasions, I can confidently say this place got food RIGHT. Their breakfast menu is very extensive, and so is their lunch menu. The atmosphere is really nice! Our waitress was nice. I really wished they had signage that said "wait to be seated" or "seat yourself". I ordered waffles and the egg platter. The food was like typical diner-type food. I wanted the waffles to be more "buttermilky" and crispy on the edges. lol. Everything was good though! read more

Great local spot to stop in for a bite to eat!! We loved the casual vibe of this restaurant. You could easily pop in for a drink and snack to go or sit down for a relaxing breakfast/ lunch. We ordered cold brew (delicious!!!) and the Iced Honey Cinnamon Almond latte ( literally one of the best I've ever had). For breakfast we ordered the sweet & savory sandwich and Elipida's sandwich. Both were tasty and delicious. I would 100% visit this restaurant again anytime I'm in the area. read more

Caffe Social has become a part of our regular weekend routine. We are always highly satisfied with our meals and love to try the weekly specials. My all time favorite is the Social Burger. The food is always fresh and delicious. Their coffee is delicious and strong! The three sister who own it together make you feel welcomed and part of a community. Highly recommend dining here! Great new place in the neighborhood. Went here for lunch the other day. Big menu for lunch, we settled on the grilled cheese sandwiches, yes grilled cheese. My wife had grilled onions, mushrooms, Swiss cheese on rye bread. I had the spicy version with grilled peppers and spicy cheese. Additionally we split an order of Greek fries, good as well. There's parking in the back, you need to go down to Marshall St and pull into the old Brew House parking lot or you can park across the street at the movie theater or if you're really lucky you can snag a spot on the street.
