I can't say enough good things about Sneaky's, everything was fantastic!…read more Came here for my uncle's 70th and was really impressed. The food was great. For entree I had the arancini, which was nice, and I also managed to snag some of my husband's bruschetta which was great. It had a good kick of garlic without being overpowering. For mains I was served possibly the biggest eye fillet that has ever existed. The photo doesn't really do it justice; it was huge, cooked to perfection, full of flavour and meltingly tender. My husband had the pork belly. It was nice and sweet and the meat fell apart as soon as the fork touched it. The crackling was good, but not great. My brother had the barramundi, I didn't try it but he was happy with it. The kids chose the chicken nuggets and fish & chips. The nuggets were your stock standard fare. The fish, however was one large (adult-sized) piece in a homemade herb crumb. My daughter wasn't so keen on the crumb (perhaps too strong a herb flavour for a young child) but we cut that off and she happily devoured the fish. After dinner they did tea, coffe and babycinos. Then it was time for dessert. I didn't try the chocolate birthday cake, but everyone seemed to love it. There was even a separate cake for the kids (rainbow sponge). They also have a wood pizza oven there. We didn't have pizza as part of our function but I did see some getting delivered to the tables outside and they looked good. If we hadn't just eaten a three course meal I would have ordered a pizza for the long drive home. The decor was nice, looked like a wedding reception with the fabric draped from the ceiling. There's also a large grassed area out the front. The kids had fun running around out there between courses. It would be better if it was fenced off better, but not really a big deal as one of us was always out there with the kids. The staff were also great. There were plenty of staff working and they were all really nice and attentive throughtout the function. If you happen to live in the area (which unfortunately I don't) or are passing by definitely check out this place.

Note - reservation is a must as they only open for Sunday lunch and you need only advise of any special dietary requirements and allow up to 4 hours of pure, authentic Italian hospitality! Upon arriving at your destination it does not look like a typical public restaurant, it simply looks like somebody's house, hence its aptly named business 'Our Place.' But after you park at the back and enter at the rear, the rustic, old world charm of the venue makes you feel like you are stepping into another world where you can enjoy the finer things in life, take things slow and unwind. Arrival was at 12pm, there is a 30-45 minute grace period to allow everyone to arrive, be seated and take your drinks outside to take in the stunning views overlooking green rolling hills and the beaches looking out South. The dining experience was warm and intriguing, one of the waitress is the daughter of the Clappis family and she happily explains each dish that is presented to us with enthusiasm. I love the little flourishes, dads bringing around a basket of freshly baked bread for us to admire but its sliced up and eaten still warm. Their daughter introduces each dish with a personal note on the side, such as here is dad's risotto and nonna's cannelloni. Each dish was delicious and wholesome - and over a 3-4 hour long lunch there were many. But shared between everyone, you get to taste everything so I didn't feel uncomfortably full. Just the right amount for a taste and to savour the moment. I cannot fault this experience and for $60 per head, it was worth every dollar and the drive. Everyone local and abroad must try this real Italian family experience. No need to order just make a reservation, loosen your belt buckle and be prepared to be fed for 3-4 hours!

There were plenty of other choices, and I didn't want to waste my time here. But after a failed attempt to eat at Deep Blue Cafe down the road (they don't feed you to well when they're closed), and a quick drive around to see that most other local places are closed on a Monday night, we settled for Caesars. On top of being open on a Monday night, they also have an all you can eat pizza and pasta buffet for just $12.90. Kids eat free. It wasn't our type of thing, but a lot of people seemed to be enjoying it. Instead we picked from the specials menu, a Mediterranean lamb tasting platter and a reef and beef. Both meats were cooked perfectly, and the meals were far better than we expected, but they also didn't blow you away. With the lamb platter things like slightly too dry bread, cheap tasting olives, and an overly garlic yoghurt sauce meant that it was a perfectly nice meal, but just not something to rave about. It seems they have people in the kitchen who know their stuff, but perhaps not the best quality produce. The place itself has that real $9.90 cafe feel. It actually wouldn't have seemed out of place with a giant kids playground A la Wiggley Worms or Play and Fun. But it's a great place for families. There's plenty of room so you're not all squished together, and if the kids end up making a bit of extra noise no body really minds. One of the fun things to do is try and spot the famous faces morphed onto the gladiator mural they have along one all. So far ones we've spotted include Tom Hanks, David Duchovney, Osama Bin Laden (seriously), and a possible Mark Twain. Caesars is nothing special, but it won't be the worst meal you've had, in fact it might actually be quite nice.
