We were brought one or two pizzas at a time, the kids were starving, then a plate of pasta that would have been a plate for one person, the food was pretty average, nothing to rave about. The time it took out, was way too long! We ended up there for two hours, just because there wasnt enough to eat, so we left and went to another restaurant to have a wonderful meal - all 10 of us!

For a suburban pizzeria,…read morethe vibe and design was a head above other local pizzerias and the atmosphere was pumping, yet it didn't feel crowded or rushed. We were served by a great waitress who was on top of things and new what she was talking about, although the other waitress who seated us seemed rather vague. The food was above the standard of other local pizzerias, yet I felt that they were a bit too heavy on the cheese. Everything was reasonably priced, and being right around the corner, it's convenience has meant that we have been able to walk over for desert on occasion or order a pizza and collect it without too much hassle. It's a joy having such an inviting, friendly restaurant so close to home. It is certainly not the best pizza you can get in Adelaide, but it has raised the bar on what the standard is around Magill, and it's convenience makes it special.

From the moment we walked towards the restaurant the owner said hello and greeted us, the staff were very friendly and helped with menus and the specials of the day. Service is quite fast and the selection of food is wide and the wine list is well thought out, we had several meals and everyone was very impressed with the food, taste and presentation. I has the Duck Raghu and I was impressed with the taste, my partner had a pizza which smelt fantastic from the other end of the table, all the other meals were very good. Each meal came out one at a time, this is a bit different to other places but I feel that this is the case because each meal is made and plated up fresh the moment it leaves the kitchen. There is also a good selection of cakes here and coffee is quite good too, if you are in the area and feel like good Italian I would highly recommend Anthonys.

Their pasta is lovely and usually what I get and their coffee is always a winner. They are now open for breakfast which makes them even better! Location wise, it's not the greatest, being on the corner is Sudholz and Lower Portrush but their is generally ample parking unless the tile centre is having a car park sale!! All in all, a winning cafe which I highly recommend. It's nice to have something like this that's local and doesn't require a trip into town. Lastly, they are quite kid friendly and will do their best to accommodate strollers. There are several high chairs available.

They catered well for our large group, bringing orders promptly and not messing any of them up. The decor is very Italian delicatessan slash cafe and is just lovely. There's a huge range of foodstuffs for sale to take home as well as fresh baked breads, salads, pastries, deserts, savouries and more. There's also a fantastic Italian Vespa on display inside. The French vanilla flat white coffee I had was quite possibly the best I've had in a VERY long time, and at $3.40, cheaper than a lot of other places. I also tried the almond tart which was impossible to resist, and I was not disappointed, it was incredibly delicious and not overly sweet, just right. Overall, this is a great place for a coffee and cake stop, or even a coffee stop. And while you're at it, grab some fresh bread or other things to take home! I'll definitely be back.

The all you can eat pizza is an unusual concept because you don't have to finish the pizza to get a new one. We ate a half a seafood pizza before moving on to another and finished half of that and the leftovers were put in a box for us to bring home! You don't really order anything its more of a "get what you are given" scenario which is good for us indecisive people because you don't have to agonise over the menu trying to make a decision. Desserts are baked in house and the snowflake/hazelnut one we had was amazing but again they just bring out whatever dessert they want and you just enjoy. To top is all off the house wine is pretty cheap so a very inexpensive night out!

That said, a friend of mine used to take all his highschool girlfriends there on first dates (his father ran an account, cheeky boy) and his experiences were always positive too. I have been fortunate enough to dine outside in the tiny courtyard which appeals to my love of outdoor dining and also means that you can escape the noise created by fellow diners in a packed restaurant. This space is a little dated and that just increases my love for it even more, it's so comfortable and inviting, providing good, honest Italian fare. Just like Nonna made.

As good as a slice can be, Ambrosinis have been bringing the likes of bresaola, stratcciatella and traditional pasta to their tables for over 20 years. Amabile, patriarch of this cosy cottage eatery, was this year awarded "Individual, Hall of Fame" at Restaurant and Catering SA's Awards for Excellence. Born in an alpine valley of the Lombardy region, he trained in classic European cuisine in St Moritz. He migrated to good ol' Adelaide and now at age 79, heralds three generations at Ambrosini's. Can you imagine it? Three generations of your family working together - in a commercial kitchen! Brava. Dishes are big on flavor while pretty to the eye. Amabile is particular about presentation and passionate about herbs, many from his lovingly tended garden. His Genovese specialty of sautéed, sliced veal in lemon juice, aromats with a basil chiffonade, and rounds out with spinach, pine nuts and pecorino. Speaking of rounding out, it is easy to go the whole nine yards here - antipasto, seafood risotto, roast duck with orange glaze and garlic king prawns with brandy and saffron. The best part? You can feel comfortable enjoying comfort food in comfortable surrounds. Just writing this I feel the need to wipe away from my chin a glorious dribble of the nut brown butter from their homemade gnocchi with sage...mmm.

It was upon stepping into this modest looking deli with fluro lighting, 50s vinyl chairs and plastic tables, random cooking equipment scattered around and big, black and white pictures of beautiful Italians with "I love Napoli" written on them hanging on the wall that I felt like I had returned to a pizza shop from the mother land. Walk out through the kitchen to toilet at the back of the shop and you might trip on a bag of pizza flour on way but don't worry, the lino floors will protect your fall. Enough about the interior, that doesn't really matter. In traditional fashion, the star of the show is the hand made blackened pizza oven sitting in the middle of the shop serving up damn good WOG Pizza. We thought we'd be modest an just order one 12 inch Frutti di Mare (seafood) and a bottle of wine to share (funnily enough sipped out of those promo wine cups that you collect from various wine events and functions over the years). But after devouring this crispy based, sweet tomato sauce covered, melt in your mouth seafood pizza we decided we couldn't stop at one. The Truff Truff was next - a creamy, cheesy base of truffle oil, cheese, dried mediterranean herbs and more cheese. Forget manners, there's no forks or plates here and the owner really couldn't care less if you came in or not. He does what he loves and I think even if there were no customers in store he would be happy.
