I think any perceived blandness could be attributed to the lack of sweetness - we ordered 25% sweet, which was much less sweet than other boba shops at 25% - just something to keep in mind. The main thing that might be improved upon are the pearls, which were a good sweetness but a bit too hard/chewy rather than bouncy.
