firstly must point out that it's now called Avos. Wandered over today because I had a craving for dumplings and Grecco used to make good reasonably priced dumplings with tasty dipping sauce. Now they do an "Asian Buffet" so I thought I'd give it a go. Not impressed. The price is expensive compared to local takeaways so expected better quality. $9.90 for a small tray which wouldn't hold much more than a couple of spoons of Fried Rice. Couldn't tell the difference between Vegie Fried rice and Nasi goring (where was the chicken/prawns?), the Pad Thai was tasteless and also sans meat, and Beef black bean didn't taste of black bean at all. There was also Butter chicken, meatball pasta bake and some random salads that weren't Asian at all. They did still have dumplings but they were very small and tasted like supermarket product, as did the chicken su mai and spring rolls. Plus no dipping sauce, only a tiny plastic bottle of watery soy sauce. Baked sweets all looked tired and not too tempting. Very disappointed and won't be going back. read more
