Transporting the effortless cool of Ceremony to the expanding environs of Wynyard quarter, the Williams brothers have added another star to the galaxy of Auckland cafes. It's hard to impress JAFAs. The coffee's got to be perfectly brewed, the ingredients have to be top notch and the flavour combinations have to be predictable, yet interesting. Williams eatery hits the mark on all of those points. It's fortunate that with an elegant Nordic feel care of Mille design, symmetrically aligned salt and pepper mills on every table and fresh, but attentive staff, the meals are just as beautiful and worth savouring with the eyes before the tongue. The breakfast bowl is light and healthy, the mushrooms are flavoursome and creamy and the tiramisu brioche is well-balanced between sweetness and crunch. What more could one ask for?
