Ordered a mocha to go and it was well made. There was plenty of street parking out front and seating inside and outside. Staff were friendly and not was clean inside. Everything looks so delicious and well made. I can't wait to go back and try more. Perfect place to start your morning at.

Lovely brunch option that is opened from morning to quite late at night so you can enjoy brunch items for dinner as well. They have a beautiful display of the menu next to the cash register which is perfect for those who need to visualize their options. You wait in line to order and sit down with a number and they will bring the food out to you. Don't get intimidated by the full restaurant while lining up. People leave pretty quickly and finding a spot before my food arrives has never been a problem. They have a large variety of classic brunch options like toast, bagel, and salad bowls but also a great variety of dessert options as well. Price isn't cheap but standard compared to the other brunch options in the area.
Cute place to have brunch in downtown Burlingame! They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I got one of the steak paninis (tasty!) and my friend got one of their salad bowls (kinda huge tbh). Service was quick -- you order at the counter, they give you a number, and come by later with your food. They had a large selection of coffees, paninis, pastries, and other brunch foods all on display. I was tempted to get one of their pancakes (I heard good things about the lemon ricotta pancakes!) but I knew it would be way too much food. Pastries looked really good but were on the pricey side.
I just wanted to update pictures. I love Café Central every time. I'm in the area. I go there. They have the best desserts the best food best service best ambience just best everything and I love that. They're dog friendly.
Caffe Central is located on the busy street of Burlingame Avenue. You can't miss it as it is on the corner and has a lively spot. Ordering is done at the counter where you will receive a number to be displayed on your table . There are lots of open seating inside and out. On chilly days, patio heaters are used. During this visit I got the chicken BLT. It was good and the chicken was tender. My only complaint is there was too much dressing on it. I recommend getting it on the side for you to drizzle on. It's a crowded ambiance. Service was decent. I would return to try other lunch sandwiches.
6 of us + 1 baby had brunch here on a rainy Sunday. How it works: you order and pay inside first, they'll give you a number, you find a table, and they'll bring out your food to your table. Service: 4/5 Employees were quick, efficient, and friendly although they did not check-in with us throughout the meal. Ambiance: 5/5 Trendy, minimal, and busy. Outdoor seating is perfect for warm and sunny days. Food: 4/5 Tons of options to choose from and yes, items for both food and drinks tend to lean more towards healthy options. I personally think it is a bit pricier for smaller portions but if you're a small eater like me, this would be perfect.
I've been a regular here for brunch with family and friends, so it genuinely pains me to write this. It was 73 degrees in Burlingame and I decided to grab breakfast and sit outside while waiting for my car to be serviced -- ordered the farmhouse breakfast. I stepped inside briefly to grab a to-go box for my unfinished eggs, potatoes, and chicken sausage. When I came back, Valeria had already cleared my plate and told me "there's nothing left." I paid $30 for that meal. When I went inside to address it, I was met with no apology and a dismissive "so what do you want to do?" I let it go and sat back down -- until I overheard Valeria telling her coworkers that I had thrown the to-go box at her. I had my earphones in at the time but wasn't listening to anything, so I heard every word. I calmly approached her and asked if I could clarify something. I explained that I was eating alone, that I had stepped inside only to grab a box, and that I still had food on my plate. I acknowledged it was a misunderstanding on both ends. I wasn't aggressive, I wasn't combative. What I got back was anything but that same energy. $30 for a meal that got thrown away before I finished it, staff who couldn't be bothered to make it right, and an employee fabricating stories about a customer to her coworkers. There are too many good brunch spots in the Bay Area to spend your money somewhere that treats loyal customers like an inconvenience. Do better. I won't be back. This cafe always looks busy. Decided to finally try it. They have a display of the food which is really helpful and everything looks so good! They have a lot drink options, coffee, tea, smoothies, juices etc. a lot pastries too. Everything was delicious and tasted really healthy. I enjoyed my chorizo wrap. It came with a side of fruit. My friend got the Irish breakfast. Said it was good but needed more salt. the toast comes in a heart shape , so cute. Presentation was spot on.
Our new favorite brunch spot! Caffé Central is fantastic. The food and the coffee are tremendous and the portions are huge! I had the breakfast bowl, trying to be healthy and it was amazing. I feel you can tell a fair bit about a place when they can perfectly poach an egg. This bowl combined with a squeeze of lemon was incredibly good. I would have added some hot sauce to it but it was just about perfect without it. The masala spiced chai was great. The foam was thick and creamy and the spice stayed on top so you had a bit of spice in every sip. We will be back again and again. Just be aware that it is open seating so you may have some trouble finding a spot to sit on a busy day.
We stopped by Caffe Central on a very busy Sunday, and even with the crowd, the team worked impressively fast. We ordered a mix of dishes -- the Pastrami Sandwich, Fajita Bowl, the Burlingame dish, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, and Avocado Toast -- plus the Detox and Vitamin C juices. Despite the rush, everything came out quickly and was fresh and flavorful. The portions were generous, and each dish had its own standout moment: the pastrami was savory and satisfying, the fajita bowl was hearty, the pancakes were light and bright with lemon, and the avocado toast was beautifully prepared. The juices were refreshing and a great complement to the meal. Overall, Caffe Central handled the Sunday crowd with ease, delivering great food and fast service. A solid spot in Burlingame for a relaxed weekend brunch or breakfast! They have indoor and outdoor sidewalk seating, which is perfect if your dog tags along.
I like this place a lot. Good food. Lots of options, healthy options. We plan to stop by when we are driving through. Today was one of those days. Always a favorite. We shared a so-Cal omelette which was enough for two of us. Will be back!

Came here for Sunday brunch since I was in the neighborhood and the café had tons of people, it was quite busy. However the line moved rather quickly and the service was quick. I got the salmon loc bagel was pretty tasty, avocado, and egg. My only critique would be that normally it has tomatoes and it did not come with it. There were barely any onions. I did ask the waiter and she brought me some, which was very nice. We also got the chipotle. Chicken bowl was very tasty. If you're in the heart of Burlingame avenue, Caffe Central is a must visit spot! That definitely holds its weight when it comes to delicious food. It offers something for everyone with their variety of breakfast, brunch, and lunch options. Not to mention their irresistible selection of pastries. I got the breakfast bowl after spotting it while walking past the restaurant and every bite was satisfying. Plenty of shops around to walk to after that add the overall experience. I'll definitely be back to try more of their offerings. Giving it a 4/5 only simply because the service could have been just a tiny bit better but it seemed to be a younger staff so I wasn't too worried. read more
I came here for a late lunch with my 2 yo. They were definitely busy, but everything came pretty quickly. The servers were actually pretty attentive. We ordered a fruit tart, pear almond tart, blackberry salad, iced tea and the fajita bowl. I was pretty satisfied with the fajita bowl, but the tarts were an average. Had to try this due to the long line! Overall impressed by our experience. Love the restaurant has real menu items displayed. Ambiance is great both inside and out. Ordered the fiesta bowl and lox on bagel and both were amazingly delicious. The chicken and smoked salmon were on point and the portions were sizable! Will come back! read more

The cafe was very inviting. The interior is nice. The food display cases made me want to try everything. The service was really great. It was our first time there, so we didn't know what to order. They were patient with us, and guided us to delicious choices. I ordered the Cuban Latte and my mom ordered the Central Latte (light sweetened). We enjoyed our lattes so much. The flavor was great, the texture was smooth and velvety. We are definitely going to get coffee from here every time we are in the area. That says a lot for an area that is surrounded by a Philz, Peete's and Starbucks. read more
I've been here on a few occasions and it's always POPPING popping. So many people in all tables here to chat and enjoy Burlingame ave. With a variety of selections of breakfast, lunch, and coffee, this is the perfect place to stop for a mid day pick me up. They also have lots of baked goods, and most meals are on display so you can choose what looks appetizing to y It's definitely not a "come in and do work" kinda place because there is lots of people and lively chatter. I think there is WiFi, but it would be difficult to concentrate in this setting with so many people! I ordered the pesto club and chicken sandwich (5/5), which was delicious. The cheese on the bread makes for the most decadent bite, the bread is soft and fluffy, and the chicken and bacon are both cooked well and crispy! I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a filling lunch on the ave. I've also had the goddess bowl (5/5). I recommend this too, a mix of veggies with sweet potato. Trying Caffe Central for the first time. Everything was delicious, great service and nice atmosphere. The eggs, chicken sausage & potatoes were seasoned perfectly. The chorizo and egg wrap was very good, similar to a breakfast burrito. The chorizo could have used a little more spice, but we enjoyed it. My son thought the lox and avocado were fresh and tasty. Try the Vietnamese iced coffee, it's so so amazing. There is a large outdoor parklet and dog friendly. Service was awesome. read more
Super busy, 5 stars for food, and counter service. 4 stars cause 3 times the server placed something on our table and it wasnt our food. There was also a table behind us they served our food to but then later came and apologized which was fine. I understand it's busy but maybe more hands or something. Well, I was walking in Burlingame. We wanted coffee, but did not know where to go. We stumbled upon this gem. It's atmosphere is quite inviting was not too busy great selection of desserts and sandwiches and different types of coffee. I will definitely come back here. This restaurant is located in Burlingame downtown. It's a pretty popular cafe. I cone here pretty often. Great place for breakfast, lunch, dessert or just to grab a drink. They have a huge variety of drinks and food. During lunch hours, the lines gets pretty long. The only downside is that parking around Burlingame downtown is hard to find. But overall, definitely recommend this place! read more

Do not order iced Macchiato in here FOR SURE. The Baristas must know how to make and present drinks for customers not only the taste of it also, the look as well. As I owned 4 espresso machines myself at home i enjoy coffee daily, and we are from South Korea which is the country well known for top Baristas for coffee and tea. I ordered 4 drinks are all horribly plain, too much ice in the fat, chunky glasses. Dont explain what you think or teach CUSTOMERS. Your job is to make customer happy and satisfied for what they pay for. And Making them to come back again. The barista here need to have some experience Korea or Italy. Love this place for a consistent quality brunch and lunch. The place is always bustling. Service is quick and the food is fresh. Overall above average is all aspects. There's so many options to choose from on the menu. The place can get loud and I wish they had more space, but I love this option and the food enough to work with what's there. I'm always delightfully surprised by something new like their pastries or that the side fruit comes with a wide variety including dragon fruit. Café Central is one of my favorite cafes on Burlingame Avenue. Although it's typically crowded, it's worth the wait. Honestly, you won't wait long--they do a great job of bringing out your food quickly. I've tried a couple of items on their menu and will probably continue to experiment because everything I've tried so far is delicious. The one item I won't skip, though, is their Lemon Ricotta pancakes: fluffy, light, and the lemon ricotta is not overly sweet--just perfect. Rain or shine, I'm eating my meal on their deck because it's usually busy inside. Plus, the cafe can get quite loud, and with everyone talking, the noise tends to echo. read more

Caffe Central is never a miss! I LOVE the pastrami sandwich they have and it's my go-to order here. The pancakes also look amazing and this place is ALWAYS packed on weekend brunch times so be prepared to not have a seat or wait around. Quality food with big portions! read more

First time here for a meal.I came for their weekend brunch.Was not disappointed..I got the salmon Benedict with smoked salmon,eggs ,holindaise sauce on an English muffin and got breakfast potatoes instead of the side salad..I also got a diet Coke and to go I got a ginger bread cookie to eat later.Everything was very delicious though their breakfast potatoes were spicy The place was hopping both inside and out.I sat inside.Many different things to choose from on their menu.The employee are awesome..There is Street parking.I recommend this place read more

We decided to have an early morning coffee date on a weekday. Roaming around on Burlingame Avenue, this is the most inviting one open at 8am. Walking in its warm and cozy. Modern and intimate. Totally my cup of tea. U can be in your sweatpants (just like us) or have a casual coffee business meeting (or bring your computer and work here) or a chic and romantic coffee date. Lots of pretty and healthy options for a pescatarian like me. I ordered this hummus and avocado over a large piece of bread. Big portion of greens on the side. This is a huge salad. Super fresh and very pretty presentation. He ordered his ham croissan'wich. He said it's great. And I LOVE my matcha latte. It's real strong matcha (I mean I'm Asian you know?!) Service is excellent. Looks like a lot of regulars here. I can easily see this become my go -to cafe in Burlingame. read more
I love Caffe Central, it's one of my favorite go to places. It's very near my apartment in Burlingame so I can just walk here. The food is always fantastic and they offer a huge selection for all foodies. Great for vegetarians and health conscious individuals and anyone who just loves good food. It gets pretty crowded but I've never had trouble finding a place to sit. I recommend sitting outside under the shaded seating area. The staff is really helpful and friendly. I'll be going here over and over again as long as I live in Burlingame. read more

After thoroughly walking through the area to scout for the prime brunch place to try on a sunny Wednesday afternoon and a break from the 9-5 conundrum, we settled for Caffe Central for the bright and fresh food. We walked in and the displays of most of the menu items were perfect so I could see exactly what I was ordering and what it was going to look like. I ordered the Goddess Central Bowl and my friend ordered the Avocado Hummus. We were able to land a table outside as it was peak lunch time and our food arrived. The Goddess bowl looked slightly different from the one on display, I was hoping the bowl would be the same quantity as the display. Anywho, the food was healthy and the sweet potato yam would have been better replaced with a more savory ingredient. The food was delicious though. The primary major complaint I have for my dish was the fact that it required a lot of intense chewing. The yams, kale, broccoli and brussel sprouts each required a lot of chewing that my jaw was quite tired from chewing halfway through my bowl lol. Twas an interesting experience and it had been years since I last felt exhaustion from chewing. My friend's Avocado Hummus was very, very delicious. The hummus was the piece de resistance in the dish and the avocado and sprouts were so flavorful. read more

My fiancé, puppy, and I love coming here! It's steadily busy even during the week. We usually sit outdoors and have met some other cute pups, while getting oohs and aahs for our own. The people working there are nice and service is good. There was only one time we waited long for our drink. We've had various pastries and breakfast items. I liked the smoked salmon avocado toast, carrot cake, and the m&m cookie they sell at the counter the most. For drinks, the dirty chai latte is my go-to. It does quite the number on the GI system lol. The smoothie was okay. My fiancé usually gets the Vietnamese iced coffee. read more

We ordered the salmon avocado toast and farmers plate (I think that's what it's called if I remember correctly?). And both were really tasty! The portion size was generous and reasonably priced. Overall a nice place to get brunch if you're looking for somewhere to eat brunch in Burlingame! Would definitely come back again read more

Caffe Central is a great weekend brunch spot. It is casual yet lovely to dine outside. The tables are placed close enough together to have a bustling atmosphere, while still providing enough space for private conversation. The food is all displayed in cases and all looks very scrumptious. The taste is a bit underwhelming and the price is a bit high considering the lack of flavor. Service is great though. Overall it is a solid spot for a weekend brunch. read more

They have seating outside. I saw many diners enjoy meals with their baby"dog" outside 👍🏻(I don't see any inside the cafe).
