Comfy, chill and pretty aesthetic coffee shop. I love the vibe of the place and the decorations they have. When it comes to the coffee, for the most part it's nothing special. It's kinda pricey for what you get. No two cups have the same amount filled even if you order the same thing or similar. However, it's not terrible either. I do like the hazelnut latte, lavender vanilla latte and white mocha. I also like their muffins; recently tried the chocolate hazelnut one and it's delicious! I would like to try more of their savory items one day. So overall, not a bad place. The vibe here is nice and calm; perfect for studying or reading. I came here yesterday to get some work done and I'm pretty surprised I was able to get a lot done! I usually get distracted, but I did well here! The music they played was not very loud, but there were groups that were talking and laughing loudly. Overall, not a bad place to study here. There are limited seats inside and most of the tables were taken up by only one person, so that's probably my only annoyance. This coffee shop is very clean and modern, prices were a little expensive, but still pretty reasonable... I got their iced chai tea latte for $4.95, nothing too special about it. However, I did get weird stomachaches from it, but that might've just been me. Not sure what kind of milk they used, but I will make sure to say low fat or nonfat next time I come. My boyfriend got their hot chocolate, also $4.95, and they probably put a lot of cocoa in it cause my boyfriend got really tired after drinking it. He ended up napping for half an hour before continuing studying LOL We ended up staying close to 4 hours, so it's nice not having a time restriction on how much wifi you can use. Their wifi is also pretty strong, with 10+ people using it at the same time, so that is definitely a plus! read more

I used to come here semi-often to get work done. Great casual, non-overbearing ambience with a pretty solid taste in music, and the baristas also understand to play it at the perfect subtle volume. Lots of roomy space and options for how you want to your workspace to feel. They have everything from individual 2-person tables, to the large slab tables, to bar seating so you can stand and work, over to an outdoor patio seating to catch some rays. All indoor options come with outlets within easy access. My only qualm about seating is that some of the individual tables are off-balanced, so there have been times I'd have to jam a napkin under a table leg. Plenty of seating and it never really gets too busy. With it being in a very tech-centric area with apartments around, the flow is usually Cisco employees trying to escape the office for a bit by either working from here or just getting some coffee. I've never struggled finding a table at any time of the day. Their desserts are worthwhile and are lowkey dangerous to be chipping away at while working or studying. Honey bread and waffles are very sweet, so you may want to grab yourself a glass or two of water with it, but no complaints from me because they're bomb. I'm not there for the coffee, but it's still pretty decent. Covers the range from dark to ridiculously sweet so everyone can find something to drink. The sandwiches make a pretty standard lunch. I typically get it if I don't feel like leaving my spot to grab food, but I wouldn't come here specifically to get one. I'd say they're worth a shot though. Baristas have always been super nice and chill whenever I've come here. A lot of them show some great empathy and do things like offer to fill up my water bottle if they notice I'm walking in with one. read more

Came here for a galentines outing with my besties. One of us purely choose this place out of aesthetics since we were suppose to dress up. It's a really cute place and hands down the drinks here are delicious and they also sell slices of sakura cakes (from that expensive bakery). My friends liked at least 3 out of 4 drinks. Very sweet cashier/barista made me a chai tea frappe and it tasted pretty good! They didn't have it on the menu but she was sweet enough to make me it and I definitely appreciate it. Great place to work, study, or catch up with friends. Lots of seating in the inside (although it can get busy and almost no places to sit) and a few tables outside. Although there are lots of people, it doesn't get too loud because everyone else is also working/studying. Coffee is great and they have a decent (a little on the small side, but good variety) selection of food and dessert. I really like getting an affogato (gelato with espresso on top). The gelato is nice and cold which makes for the perfect dessert once it melts from the hot coffee. The Belgian waffles are very sweet, but if you are in the mood it is yummy. There is sugar in the batter as well as whatever you get on top. Goes great with coffee to contrast the sweetness. Overall, everything is on the pricier side. Parking is easy as there is a big garage for retail parking in the apartment complex. Bathrooms are not always the cleanest, but have never seen it too gross. read more

I moved to the area a while ago and I can't believe I'm JUST checking this place out. The cafe is located in a very convenient spot with lots of parking. There are plenty of tables and outlets if you need to get some work done and it's relatively quiet even when busy. The only gripe I really have is their pricing. Their lattes are easily $5+ and the food is on average $8. Full disclosure, this isn't my first Caffe Bene (there was one in SoCal that I frequented often) so I was aware of the expensiveness. However, you really can't beat the spacious and homey vibe of the place so I guess it makes up for it. For this visit, I ordered a hot Americano and a ham and cheese bagel. The coffee was fine, nothing overly special. The bagel, on the other hand, was very average and costly for what you get. There was one slice of very thin ham and a stingy amount of cheese. I probably wouldn't purchase this again, considering the meal came out to about $10. tldr; if you're looking for a space to get some work done, I'd highly recommend. This place is conveniently located in north San Jose. It has a great ambiance and the tables seem to be made of quality wood. I really like their bookshelf and the interior design. Overall, it's cozy and quaint, but it could use some cleaning behind the counter (possibly from low staff?). Also, they serve beverages in actual mugs and glasses which helps reduce waste. However, the coffee tastes like Folgers or instant coffee and the customer service is sub-par. Cafe Saigon: Basically this is a Vietnamese Coffee, and this comes with the option to be iced or hot. I tried the iced version and enjoyed it a lot! It's definitely creamier, and not as strong as a regular vietnamese iced coffee so it almost feels like a weaker version which I'm okay with. It's a moderate sweetness, not overpowering, but enough to make it extremely enjoyable! If you need a regular caffeine fix go with this, but if you need something strong I'd recommend picking a different item on the menu. Overall, this is a great place to study and have some coffee! Met up with a friend to do some work on a Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised at this place! It's attached to an apartment complex so retail parking is in a garage on the side. The cafe has a ton of natural lighting, plenty of tables to study at and free wifi! I love the woods-y decorations and the light fixture at the end of the room. I wouldn't usually recommend waffles given that they are very standard but they have some basic selections with sandwiches and breakfast food options if you need some food in your stomach. I got the Iced Lavender Vanilla Latte and I personally really liked it. Strong Lavender flavor without residual bitterness at the end, a little more on the sweet side but it's fine if you've got some sweet tooth. Now the avocado toast with eggs, I was expecting at least a whole avocado and maybe some juicy soft boiled egg but it's literally 2 thin slice of stale bread, ONE sliced up refriderated hard boiled egg, and possibly a quarter of an over-riped avocado. This establishment seems like one that's owned by a Boomer that opened it to be a millennial trap and overcharge for hyped food while producing Doo Doo. It's huge lol the bingsus are basically shaved ice topped with red beans, fruit, and strawberries. I'm not a huge fan of shaved ice, but I can see this being really refreshing on a hot day. first time coming to Caffe Bene as we previously placed an order for a dome cake on Sunday 9, 2023. i accidentally forgot to pick up on original pick up date @ 12PM on Tuesday 11, 2023 and the owner was kind enough to text me a friendly reminder about the cake later that night, so i picked it up today. she is very kind and attentive. unfortunately, upon picking up cake, i wanted to go ahead and try something else so i ordered a Rose Lychee Tea and one of the employees mentioned it would take 10 minutes to be ready and i said that's fine. 6 customers later, 30 minutes had passed and i still have not received my tea. 23 minutes after placing order, the male employee told me a few more mins but then another 7 passed. i honestly had somewhere to be and did not expect this. they told me 10 mins, i let 15 mins pass because i knew that they were really short staffed (2 employees) and there was multiple new orders. i let another 5 go by, then towards reaching another 10, i wasn't available to waste any more time. i expressed disappointment and light frustration, but still approached and asked with respect-- a refund--and asked why had i been told it'd take 10 minutes but my transaction for my order was paid 30 mins ago? i showed the employee my cellphone screen. she had NOTHING to say! NOT EVEN an apology! NO offer of voucher, she said NOTHING. her only response was "ok i'll issue the refund right now". very unprofessional and rude of her to ignore my question and not even apologize! that is insane. never have i waited over 12 minutes for an Iced tea. I really hope they can hire new and or more employees, because this is not good for the business. many customers expect to be able to come in and go less than 10 mins after ordering (for 1 bev). it was a really unfortunate and unfair experience as it was my first time. the Bunny Dome Cake was absolutely stunning and tastes just like it looks!!! it was sooo good. the hello kitty shaped eyes are a dark chocolate espresso bean i believe. SO YUM! the buttercream is light, perfect taste and sweetness to it. i also loved the fresh strawberries they filled the cake in with. the sweetness of this cake was immaculate. i look forward to purchasing other cakes as this one has now become my toddler's favorite. i hope my feedback can help. Customer service was great on a busy Sunday afternoon. A large Coffee of the day here wasn't better than Peet's or Starbucks even, and I feel like I paid more for it than either of those two places. They didn't have fresh half and half or heavy cream. I probably won't come back for the coffee, but the desserts and other stuff here looks promising so I might try it again. Seemed like a chill hang out spot too, but it attracts loud groups of people who seem to take over the place without regard for the other people who were inside doing their own thing and trying to enjoy their quieter conversations. TLDR; Missed out on 2 stars for quality of a basic cup of drip coffee and lack of creamer options for the price of the coffee. Customer service was kind and came with a warm smile. They have good caffinated and uncaffinated drinks!
