Nice little breakfast spot in Seneca Falls, had the breakfast special (eggs, sausage or bacon & toast.) Everything was delicious, delivered quickly to our table. Seems popular with the locals. Only disappointments were that it was so busy we couldn't snag an outdoor table & they were out of the homemade muffins by 9:30 am. But inside is bright & clean, with lots of space between tables. A really great place to sit down and enjoy a healthy breakfast or lunch, take care of work, and have that one on one/group meeting. Personally, I have been here twice and enjoyed the Numi tea selection and went out of my regular order and opted for a latte. With the chance to customize your own latte or the signature latte they have I could not resist, on top of there choice of almond milk; sign me up! I went for the signage latte "Lucretia" which is a malt hot chocolate with expresso! Not being to much into caffeine this sure does give a kick. I was planning to try the orange chocolate mousse but looking a little not on the fresh side I decided to just go with my latte. Before leaving I did notice some other customers with some delicious looking breakfast such as the pancakes, which looked beyond delicious! My parents LOVED the Jamaican me crazy coffee, but my mixed berry tart was well - really tart. I wanted to try the cinnamon rolls, but I assumed they were out when I didn't see any in the case. Someone at a nearby table had one and it was big enough for 2-3 people, but I did hear her say it had too much icing, so I would have probably wanted the icing on the side as a dip. We sat outside to enjoy our morning pick me up and the bees were everywhere. Like no joke everywhere. Trash can is inside probably because the bees are so drawn to the seating area outside. Would go again, but might take things to go so that the bees aren't landing on my food constantly. Oh and I really loved how it seemed like this place has a lot of regulars...everyone was saying "hi" to one another like it was the neighborhood meeting spot. So cute. read more

Came here on a Monday morning after a not so positive dinner experience nearby the night before, so was really hoping that this place would be good. And it was. We ordered the buttermilk pancakes that were full of flavor and served in an ample amount. The breakfast burrito was served with homemade salsa (at least it tasted like it) and was stuffed with cheese and a perfect amount of jalapeño. The fruit salad was full of different kinds of fruit, not just melon like many other places. My favorite feature is all of the coffee flavors they have on brew. And they ask you if you want a cup to go or to stay. I would recommend this fast service restaurant to anyone in town for breakfast or coffee. read more

Fabulous! I was hungry for breakfast and stopped in for some to-go action. I got a golden girl which is espresso with turmeric and honey and more. It was delicious! This place is amazing! I've only lived here a week and visited at least 5 times already. The service is world class and super friendly. The coffee, several varieties is great, especially the Jamaican blend. They are only open for breakfast and lunch as it's attached to the Generations Bank Corporate Offices. I've had the veggie breakfast burrito several times. Absolutely delicious, especially the broccoli inside. It also comes with a side of home made guacamole. There is an extensive lunch menu as well. Reading the reviews online I had high expectations which were not quite met. I had a cappuccino to drink. It was mainly foam and the taste was just not quite right. I had the vegetarian burger for food. It tasted good. But everything (bread, patty) was very soft and mushy. It came with chips which were a bit boring. What a fantastic addition to Seneca Falls! This is exactly the kind of restaurant/cafe that every town needs. Upon arriving I noticed that the decor was modern chic and really simplified. Everything was white/silver/purple and very clean cut. The atmosphere would make any New York Cafe lover go berserk and I was so excited about the general feel of the place that I was just hoping the food lived up to the high expectation that I have. We came for Saturday brunch and were pleased with the menu choices as it was very simple and full of variety. I really appreciated the simplicity factor. The employees were all very friendly and we felt welcomed, which was awesome because it added to that great atmosphere. My wife and I ordered the Open Faced Ham and Cheese and the Berries and Cream French Toast with a side of fruit. We sat outside because it was beautiful and it didn't take long at all for our food to arrive (approx 10-15 minutes). First, the presentation of the food was epic. It was beautifully displayed and very clean looking. I was so excited to try everything. The side of fruit was so fresh tasting (definitely worth the money to have something healthy and fresh). My wife and I split both of our orders and were beyond pleased with our food. The Ham and Cheese was the perfect combination of bread-cheese-egg-ham ratio and the side of potatoes were seasoned so that I actually even ate them without ketchup (this is an incredible feat, trust me). The best part in our opinion though was the French Toast. I could say a lot of awesome things about how soft and succulent it was, how it was he perfect amount of sweet without feeling overdone, or that it was devoured in a matter of minutes because of it's shear brilliance, but I think you should just drop everything you're doing, stop reading this review and go get yourself some. This strategy allows you to sample some quality, unique baked goods that don't have words. The orange brownie & gluten free brownie, and chocolate covered macaroons are my top picks, so far. Clean fresh and crisp atmosphere that is unique comfortable, and modern. The staff, and management is super friendly, personable and always there with a smile and positive presentation. Other establishments could be so lucky to have such a staff. If you aren't sure what to order, just ask Chris or Kurt about an item or their favorites, You will get a candid, honest response that reflects the quality of the food served! This gem is located just off the "main traffic path", just around the corner from downtown. It is on the way to the Elizabeth Cady Stanton Home (Women's rights National Park Attraction), and just past the statues on the tour. Parking is ample if you are driving instead of walking. I would like to see this business do more with some of the historical events in town. Cafe XIX (19) named after the 19th amendment to the constitution residing in the birthplace of women's rights is something that should be promoted, celebrated, and reveled in a very public way. Not even mention of it on the website. This is my only disappointment. read more

Lunch at Cafe XIX was a lovely experience and welcome to Seneca Falls. The staff was extremely friendly: they cleaned off the tables out front for us when they had been wet, closed the overhang for us so we would be shaded, asked several times how we liked our food and if we were all set with anything even though they were not really waiters, let us have our dogs outside while we ate, and were overall just very kind. The decorations are very cute and "pop art modern" in an interesting homage to Seneca Falls's history of women's rights activism. One of our sandwiches was incredible (turkey hummus wrap), the other one was little odd but refreshingly different (ham panini with raspberry mustard), and our blackberry scone was pretty good but a little floury. The coffee was not very good (Sumatra dark roast) which was the only thing I was really disappointed about. Good work overall, Cafe XIX! read more

Best Catering Experience: I had Cafe XIX cater my wife's surprise birthday party on July 6th for 30 people. Casey and her staff of three met all of my expectations down to every detail we planned together. As people arrived they were served a cocktail by Tanya the bartender and a delicious charcuterie platter, scrumptious shrimp tacos and the kids favorite, chicken satay. The main course was smoked beef brisket and pan seared salmon in a delicious sauce accompanied by roasted vegetables and a beautiful salad of lettuce greens, strawberries, blueberries toasted almonds and feta cheese. The birthday cake was a two layer grand mariner sheet cake with butter cream frosting which everyone raved about. Stopped by for a couple coffees and bagels. I was excited to see they had a punch card system (who doesn't love a free coffee!?) and she only gave me one stamp, I asked for the second and she refused, saying it was in a different transaction with a lot of attitude. First of all, who cares!?, second of all wouldn't all the transactions be separate? Third, customer service is #1, and forth it doesn't say anything about that on the card. So I was annoyed and sat for almost ten minutes(!!) waiting for the worst bagel I've ever had in my life, I'm attaching a photo. It was cold, had barely any cream cheese and burned in areas. I would give 1 star but the other lady there remade the bagel very fast, with more cream cheese and made it actually warm! Excellent service and great tasting food! Based on the high Yelp ratings, we decided to stop by for lunch on a Saturday. We weren't disappointed! Three of the four of us had a half tuna melt with seafood chowder and the fourth had a ham sandwich and chowder. Delicious all around, especially the chowder and maple vinaigrette for the side salad. The server was a work-horse; he handled everyone's order, drinks and bringing food to tables by himself. We each enjoyed a marshmallow butterscotch blonde or a blueberry cheesecake bite. Again, delicious fare. The only suggestion for change would be to add some kid friendly options. Fortunately my nine year old enjoyed the pesto mayonnaise! An incredible modern and fresh restaurant serving fresh cafe fare, baked goodies, and gourmet coffee. Lots of vegetarian offerings that are full of flavor, and the ability to get a fresh fruit bowl was a nice treat. We visited while staying at Sampson State Park and it was certainly worth the short drive. I wish I could give and extra star for the locally roasted and fairly priced coffee. read more
