That's another thing. During the whole half hour we dined at a table, things never quieted. As soon as a table cleared, someone else would grab it right away. Over the years, I've found that when in doubt, it's best to follow the crowds. On most Saturday mornings, it seems this is the place where all the crowds in Ridgefield Park are congregating. The cafe is part of an apartment building that used to be a bank, so there are high ceilings and arched windows. The owner, Jeremias, added thoughtful touches to make the cafe a welcoming and inviting space for customers. They have free wifi, outlets, dog treats, and crayons for kids! The menu offers your classic espresso beverages as well as seasonal and specialty drinks. My all-time favorite is the dulce de leche latte. I've had it hot and iced. The staff are always welcoming, friendly, and personable. They have a lot of loyal/regular customers (rightfully so) and there's a genuine sense of community here. This is the type of spot that will remember your face, name, and order. It's not easy to find great customer service nowadays. We ordered a Santa Fe salad and an L.A. burger - which comes with avocado, bacon, onion, lettuce, and tomatoes. The burger was pretty standard, but having it delivered on a warm brioche bun feels a little bit special. The accompanying fries were also great - crisp and potatoey on the inside. The salad, on the other hand, was a near triumph.
