Drove passed this new cafe place on northern decided to give it a try. Staffs are friendly, ordered two drinks and two desserts. - drinks are not bad - the tart looks delicious from the displace but taste alright, definitely not worth the price $6.75. - very disappointed with fig red velvet, was definitely stale, feels like it's been in the fridge for a few days and it starts absorbing the " fridge smells" Couldn't even finish it Might go back for the drinks but don't think will order dessert next time read more

My friend surprised me with four beautiful looking tarts this past Christmas. Raspberry, chocolate, matcha, and strawberry. Shared with my family, and we all loved em. Our favorite though was definitely the matcha tart. Will definitely get others (+ the matcha again) next time I'm in town. read more

Loving these tarts from Cafe Terrace! I've ordered the brownie and red velvet tarts and they were not too sweet. They have a whole variety of tarts ranging from savory to fruity! I definitely recommend this place for those who enjoy tarts and a nice place to chill with friends. Due to Covid-19 indoor seating is not accessible, but outdoor seating is. Will definitely come back for more tarts! read more

Wasn't bad but wasn't good either. The lemonade isn't really lemonade unfortunately. It's a sparkling drink with grapefruit at the bottom but it doesn't mix well at all. The Honeydew Bingsu isn't great either. Missing the condensed milk and the melon isn't sweet. Overall, not bad but not great either. Yato says, find another place. read more

Really cute neighborhood coffee and breakfast place. A little pricey, but good to support local biz. Had delicious cold brew and an amazing matcha tart. Outside seating is very pleasant. read more

Very nice place to do some work. Plenty of seating. Wifi. Some outlets. Drinks are good and slightly cheaper than other cafes in the area. They also have a stamp card for drinks and use Toast for rewards. They make their own baked stuff too. Staff is very nice and prompt. read more

I've been waiting for a new cafe to open up in bayside! This place is AMAZING! I had a hard time picking one so I just bought a bunch of different things to try! The potato quiche was my favorite from today's batch, although all the other ones I got were pretty good too! I also got a strawberry ade which has fresh strawberry purée and it was so refreshing. read more

I was super excited to try the tarts at this cafe because I've heard and seen so many great things, and I have to say it went way above my expectations! The outdoor seating is super nice and has a lot of shade. The service was amazing and the overall vibes were just excellent! They have such an amazing selection of tarts and the fruit on them were so fresh and tasty! I got a strawberry tart and a peachade. Both were very yummy and refreshing. I even bought four more tarts so I could take them home to my family. All the adults loved it too even though they typically don't like sweets as much. They also had an Instagram promotion going on so I get 10 percent off my order. They also do a stamp card for every ten items you buy you can one free! I can't wait to go back when I come back from college read more

Pro: -Price: inexpensive for tarts -Wide variety of tart choices Con: -Crust seems a little under baked. They aren't baking the crust when the butter is COLD, this prevents you from having crisp crusts. -Soggy tart: I'm guessing the tart was made early in the morning or the day before. The cream filling started seeping into the crust so it made entire tart taste soggy. read more

Good coffee and quick service. The tarts and other baked goods are very decent as well.

Their drinks were just okay. The latte was more milky and watered down and misugaru drink was not blended well... so it was very powdery and chunky. Their desserts were pretty but taste was average. I think my favorite thing was their strawberry and matcha cookies. read more

Nice cafe, has a wide selection of mini tarts and drinks. Definitely want to come back and try the bingsu and other drinks. We got the strawberry, honeydew, grapefruit and brownie tarts and a grapefruit ade. The tart shells were pretty hard, definitely couldn't cut with plastic cutlery. Ended up picking the whole thing up and biting into it. Tarts were overall okay. Nice interior and has outdoor shaded seating. read more

This place used to be good. Used to be great actually. I always think employees should be an example of how they want customers to view the establishment. Today my experience at this cafe was unfortunately horrible. We ordered a pumpkin latte and a caramel latte first. DO NOT GET THE PUMPKIN LATTE. SAVE YOUR MONEY. There were so many grains in the latte that with every sip it felt like i was sipping on coffee with sand particles. Not only that, but it didn't even taste pumpkin-y. The caramel latte was descent. So I returned and I considered let me buy a different drink. So my $6 pumpkin latte was trashed with 2 sips taken. Then, when I asked for a caramel macchiato, she took my order down. Soon after, I got a caramel LATTE. So i asked, hey i ordered a macchiato. She then replied "oh we don't have macchiato". Are you serious? Then why didn't she feel the need to let me know instead of making me a caramel latte?? The reason for such a low rating is because the server was just incredibly rude. So rude to the point I do not ever want to return here and advise others not to. When asked for more time, she would come back one second later asking OK R U READY? Like no, give me a bit. When asked for the wifi, i didn't even get a response but instead she printed out the receipt and just handed me it without even facing my direction. And this is all in a time when the cafe was fairly empty- as if it was busy I would've understood. Just poor quality of customer service, poor quality of food, and poor quality in general. Sad because this used to be one of my go-to, as I even earned a yelp badge for it. No longer. read more

We got the honeydew tart and blueberry tart and an iced yuzu tea. I thought the little scoop honeydew toppings for the honeydew tart was unique and tasty! The blueberry tart was very sweet and satisfied my sweet tooth. I'd recommend the honeydew over the blueberry. The iced yuzu tea was refreshing and make sure to mix the yuzu as it settles on the bottom. read more

I came in the other day after seeing their posts on UberEats. I thought the tarts looked so cute and pretty and was happy to drive the distance. I went home with two tarts, a Yuzu tart and a mini chocolate tart. The Chocolate Tart looked better than it tasted. While the ganache held a deep chocolate flavor, it was dense and hard to cut through. I tried letting it sit out and come to room temperature but it didn't help. The crust was also quite stodgy. We then tried the Yuzu tart, which was MUCH better! The Yuzu flavor is quite forward, which I liked against the soft cream filling. The crust on this tart was much more buttery - a good pie crust! The only thing I didn't like was the service and ambience. While the place looked clean and neat, it lacked warmth for a cafe. Definitely not a place where I'd want to hang out. What worse was their service. When I walked in, the server (there was only one that I saw) appeared to be hanging out with a group of people she knew at the booths. There were no one at the counter. I walked up to the display and looked around for a few minutes before she came back behind the counter to help me. At this time, her friends left. Being that it was my first time there, I wanted to ask for recommendations which was met by blunt and straight answers. Like the ambience, her attitude was cold and it felt like as if I was bothering her. It's absolutely not the type of service I'd expect from a cafe. The tarts are good, but I'd much rather patron a place where I feel appreciated. It's not like I can't get tarts that are just as good around the neighborhood with better service! read more

Love the design; clean, and there's a great couch area. Chose to sit outdoor because of the pandemic. Outdoor sitting is also lovely, with distances between tables and shades. There are many choices, a variety of tarts. The tarts looked really nice and delicious. Would like to try the honeydew tart next time. Yogurt tart actually tasted like cheesecake, and the raspberry tart was a bit sour. Not a fan of the strawberry ades. read more

Just wow. Breakfast sandwiches are ON POINT! If only I could eat here every morning. 10/10

I got a bag of goodies from them through the Too good to go app. It was a strawberry banana tart, chocolate chip scone and a potato cheese quiche. Thought it was a good deal for $4.99. I would love to come back to try their other tarts as it looks like that is their specialty and they have so many to choose from. They all looked delicious. The space seemed cozy with a few tables spread out. It was very well lit so people can study or have meet ups with friends. read more

I used to love Cafe Terrace's fruit tarts--they're really pretty to look at and tasted delicious. I don't know if they changed the management or staff or something but recent times I've gotten their tarts, the shortbread part is so soggy and immediately crumbles. And just earlier, I bought three--a mixed fruit, a honeydew and a mango--and I ended up having to throw out the latter two because of a very strong soap or lotion scent on all the fruit. I called the store to inform them about this and the response I got was: "Oh yeah we received that complaint before--it's not a part of the ingredients; it's because of the cleaning spray we use." ??? Pretty sure that's not safe or sanitary. And the fact that they've received the complaints before but did nothing to fix it is pretty ridiculous. I prefer not tasting cleaning chemicals when eating fruit tarts. read more

I love their selection of tarts, there's so many great flavors. That's the only reason that keeps me coming back for more (at least for now). However.... 1) The past 3 times I've been here, the employee who has been serving me (a woman), she does not seem that clean to me. I paid in cash all three times and she would count the cash, not wash her hands, and then package my tarts :(. I've also seen her wipe the glass display for the tarts, and continue to package my tarts. I guess I should've said something right then and there but I wanted to see if it was just a one time thing and it seems pretty consistent from every visit. Quite disappointing since we're in the time of COVID and their employee have been slacking on cleanliness :(. 2) Although the presentation is adorable and their selection of tarts is limitless, the three times I've tried their tarts, there's always been a refrigerator taste (if you know what I mean). The first two times my partner and I thought we were over-thinking it and because we left it in our own fridge before enjoying them, we thought the taste was coming from our own fridge, but after the third time, we knew it was not us nor our fridge, its from the cafe :(. Since all of the tarts I've tried (Mango, Chocolate, Sweet Potato, Matcha, and a few more) tasted like the fridge (cost almost $7/tart too!!) I'm not sure how to rate the flavor of the tarts. The Lemon Tart ($3, most affordable :)) tasted quite good and its my favorite so far! That flavor did not taste like the fridge, which I'm quite happy about!!! I understand during such pressing times it is hard to keep up, hence the reason for my continued visit and support to small business as such. I hope this review will help them realize that cleanliness and taste of product can influence the return of customers. I hope the next time I return there will be some adjustments as I definitely do want to try the tarts again, hoping to taste the flavor of the tart and not the fridge . read more

I came here on my friends recommendation and I was thoroughly surprised. I liked the melon tart, it was refreshing and not too weird. It's really pretty inside and I love the vibe here. I feel conflicted about writing this review because i hate writing negative ones. However, I hope that ones like mine will remind the management to be more careful going forward about checking their product before serving them to customers. I carried out three tarts and when came home, I noticed that the mixed berries tart looked shriveled up/not fresh. When i looked closely, there was mold on the berries. It wasn't hard to tell that it wasn't fresh. Shame on me for not looking at them closely before leaving the store. Anyway, they should inspect their products and not selling something that's been sitting there for days. When i went back with the spoiled tart (along with the other two... honestly, I didn't want to eat any of them after seeing the mold), the guy at the counter was apologetic and exchanged the tarts with fresh ones (he assured me that they were fresh). When we tried them, and they were pretty good, and that is the reason for my 3 stars. read more

It isn't a bad place to study, and it helps with having the password and Wi-Fi on the receipt. The lack of customer service is prominent. Compared to other places that I have been to, this is okay. This cafe is a nice place to get work and studying done. Their drinks are decent. I have yet to try their desserts and tarts, but they look amazing. Giving them 2 stars because from the waiting on line and actually getting my one drink, it took a total of 40 minutes. At that point, I was ready to walk out cancel my order and go down the block. So be aware, on busy days you're going to wait a while since only 1 person was working the counter. read more

Great selection of tarts and pastries. Slightly overpriced and they charge you 4% fee if you pay by credit cards, so make sure you have cash with you or not to spend too much! We tried several tarts and pastries, not very impressed, taste are below average, nice presentation though. We also tried a couple of their summer Bingsu but are hugely disappointed especially the one with mangoes, they taste horrible, with big chunks and very hard mangoes. The Bingsu are served with mochi and they are humongous. Compare to other Korean desert spots, this place is a big thumbs down. Too bad as we would love to like this place for the nice decor, unfortunately we have to cross it out from our list. read more

Wanted something different for Mother's Day. Got there around 9:30 am. Picked up a variety of 8 tarts - Yuzu (my favorite - citrusy flavor), mixed berry, raspberry cheesecake, Oreo, coffee creme and mango. All were delicious. I've been here a few times already as this new cafe has definitely exceeded my expectations! Obviously there are a lot of decent cafes in the area, but to me this place really stands out for how thoughtfully crafted the menu is. It seems like if they serve it, it's because it's good and they know how to make it well, not just because it's popular etc. So far my favorite drink is the fruit tea! I've tried a couple of the tarts and enjoyed the oreo one the most. I also had a few bites of the potato quiche and was really impressed by how flakey and buttery the crust was. The muffins are yummy too! Overall I think it's a great addition to the neighborhood and I cannot wait until we have the opportunity to dine inside.
