I don't know why it took me so long to write a review about this place. I've known Michelle for over 10 years now. I have been coming here since my son was 5 years old and his 15 years old now. What I love about her is that she memorized everyone's name. You walk in, she greeting you by your name, and she remembers everyone's order. What business owner do you know that do that? Food is always amazing. She is well known by her Boba drinks,breakfast sandwiches, and . Her coffee is better than Starbucks cause u can actually taste that coffee flavor. Avoid this place mid-morning like the plague!! Cafe Tapioca has lost a customer for good. I wanted to purchase 3 donuts this morning at 9 am however no one was at the front counter to help. Three people were waiting by the door, so I thought they had been helped already, they hadn't. Went up to the donut case & waited for a couple minutes... a lady comes from the back, I am assuming the ONLY person working. She says to the guy in the front of the line "I have to make a lot of sandwiches you will have to wait". Wow!! Never seen a donut shop run like this one before. Hire someone to work the front counter & help customers, while you make sandwiches in the back. That is no way to take care of your customers, I am not waiting around for god only knows how long for her to make a bunch of sandwiches at 9am in the morning. Its the first time since the remodeling and it looks allot better. I got the ham & cheese on a croissant and it was worth every penny. One of those places that are questionable at first, then you give it a try and are pleasantly surprised. I came here based on the raving reviews and perhaps I should've come here for lunch instead. Their sandwiches look bomb from the other reviews. I posted a picture of the updated menu which was hard to find here. The set up is random with fish tanks on the floor, side benches, and behind the cashier looked like a gas station with lottery tickets and scratchers. The donuts are few and I'm not sure if it's because they were bought already or it was leftover from the day before. They have random snacks on the other side. One thing that was super nostalgic was the Vietnamese sugar bread! I haven't had one of those since I was a kid! They sell bagels but I guess they have only a selected few of the types of bagels because there aren't any options displayed. I ordered a breakfast sandwich (ham and cheese) on a croissant. It was quick and warm. The sandwich was tasty and filling. Nothing that made me jump out my boots though. I'd give this place another try for their lunch sandwiches as those look good. For boba? Wow, I stumbled upon this place because I have my daily boba craving but most places didn't open until 11am. I walk in and their menu is extensive with breakfast foods and unique drinks. I ordered my usual jasmine green tea milk with boba (tapioca) and then the GIANT croissants caught my eye. Michelle said she had some fresh ones that just came out the oven and I couldn't refuse. That was the BEST croissant I've ever had and I truly cannot wait to go out my way to have another. The milk tea was good but I didnt enjoy the boba much as it wasn't as fresh and gummy as I prefer it to be. But the croissant out weighs that so 5 stars for them! read more

I had a chance to sample a donut that she had made and was amazing. The donut fresh and moist my former coworker even had one and he was amazed. We were not cops but worked at the time for a billion dollar company the back story is she just made them and had extras to give out prior to delivering them. I used to visit Cafe Tapioca at least once a week when my kids were going into school. It was their Friday treat to end the week. It is owned and operated by two of the nicest people. Tony and the lady (never caught her name) are there everyday and know almost everyone that goes in. I was surprised when one day the lady asked where my husband was because he used to always come in to get a Vietnamese coffee. This is why I give them 5 stars despite other reviews saying their boba is subpar. Yes, their boba is not the best around, but they are a small operation with only a handful of workers. There is no way they would be able to keep up with the volume while having to make custom drinks with tea and boba from scratch. But, if you have ever tried their Vietnamese Coffee, it is delicious. I can eat any donut, but I really enjoy their Apple fritters which sell out, so don't go in too late. I have also had their breakfast sandwiches and always enjoyed them. They are not gourmet but they are fresh, especially if you get them on a croissant. But as I stated before, the biggest selling point is their service. They will remember what you order and try to get everyone in and out as quickly as possible. Just be warned that they get extra busy on lottery days. I went last week and the line was out the door. Ya drive up the hill, and come to a big parking lot, with Home Depot clear on the other end. Don't go there yet; instead, hang a right to a small collection of shops, and you'll find Cafe Tapioca. Here you'll find donuts, bagels, croissants, sandwiches, potato chips, and lottery tickets. The donuts look normal size. I asked for a sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich, and although it was a little small, it tasted pretty good. I don't know if there's any hot sauce for the egg. It's basically get in and get out. There are several places to sit, but everyone there, including me, got their food to go. Not much more to write here. Cafe Tapioca is a good option for your breakfast or lunch if you're looking for only good food and don't care about a great dining experience. read more

This is only in reference to the Tai tea boba. The Tai tea was good which is why I gave them two stars BUT the boba is horrible. I've been to quite a few boba places and their boba is by far the worst. Every time I took a sip of my drink I had to spit the boba out...needless to say I won't come back for boba tea. read more

I went to pick up my phone order this morning with my 10 year old. Michelle must have been having a bad day. My kids like the character drinks, and I saw 2 they didn't have. I went to buy them, and she charged me $4 each. I said, "Oh no, I didn't realize... I asked my daughter to put them back. I explained that I was putting them back because I could get a 3 pack for like $4. And she said, "Oh no, that's bullshit." I said, "No, really at Walmart." And she said that's where I shop. I tried to just let it go and give her my scratcher, but she didn't take it and helped the man behind me.
