I went with a friend and we both ordered matcha einspanners. Damo has been a highly rated matcha place for quite some time, so I was really anticipating for a solid flavor. I can't say my matcha was that good, it just didn't hit. When I tasted my friend's matcha, it tasted better, stronger flavor which goes to show that their drinks are pretty inconsistent. It's a frequent comment I hear from others' reviews and I agree after trying it myself. It's still one of the more decent matchas in the area, but there are other cafes that do it better around Ktown. Free plaza parking though! Parking is compact, but that's what you'd expect around LA so it isn't the worst.

Seating is limited, though they do offer a few outdoor tables and a bench inside while you wait for your drinks. The service was great. The employees were friendly, welcoming, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. As for the coffee, it unfortunately wasn't my favorite. I tried the Cloud Latte and found it a bit too thick, lacking the smoothness and flavor I was hoping for. I also tried the Cinnamon Cloud, which was smoother but still tasted fairly bitter to me. Coffee preferences are subjective, of course, but the flavor profile just didn't quite hit the mark for me. That said, I enjoyed everything else about the experience and would be willing to come back and try a few different drinks from the menu. The service and ambiance were definitely highlights of the visit.

The valet staff were really nice about it. The café has a cool industrial vibe with exposed ceilings, concrete floors, warm lighting, and some unique vintage touches. It definitely has more character than your typical modern coffee shop. They also have a good selection of pastries, cookies, and other baked goods. I ordered an Espresso Tonic and an Iced Americano. The Espresso Tonic was really refreshing and had a nice citrusy kick. I enjoyed the flavor, but the portion was surprisingly small, which was a little disappointing. The staff inside were friendly and nice as well. Overall, I liked the coffee, service, and atmosphere. I'd definitely stop by again when I'm in the area.

Great pastries in the morning, i had the cremme brûlée donut which had tons of filling, and the pea foam matcha latte which was fantastic. And I had an EXCELLENT chicken Chipotle wrap at lunch that was recommended to me by the gentleman working at memory look. I'm not certain where these wraps are made. Another gentleman would bring them from the building in the same complex. I LOVED my wrap. They have a ton of seating outside too but there aren't any outlets out there so it's harder to WFH out there unless you're fully charged. But was great for separate meetings we all had to attend. The photobooth was fun but we were so thrown off by it taking 8 photos, we had no idea how many poses we would have to come up with hahaha. I would definitely come back here anytime!

The drink itself was good, although I found the prices a little higher compared to other matcha spots I've tried. Service was on the slower side, and it took a while for the drinks to come out. I stumbled across their Yelp page when I was visiting from out of town and checked the Instagram for their hours on a Saturday afternoon and was happy to see they were open! I am a sucker for pop-up coffee shop/cart concepts so I had to check it out. The pop-up is easy to find, it's outside facing into the parking lot, and they had a cute A-frame sign out by the street side. There was no line, and I ordered and sat down at one of the tables out front. The service was so warm, and I believe the shop is owned and operated by one man on his own! He was an absolute delight to meet, and he brought my matcha latte to me at the table when it was prepared. He suggested I get the cream top on it, and boy was that the perfect recommendation. I would say I'm a little bit of a matcha fiend... I think I got a matcha latte at 3 different places this day... and this one far surpassed the others. I think it was one of the best matcha lattes I have ever drank to-date. It was perfectly green, the matcha quality was phenomenal, both taste and look-wise. The texture was just right, perfectly creamy with barely any grittiness. The cream top only added to the drink, and didn't take away from the matcha flavor at all, which I feel like has happened at other places for me. I'm dreaming of this matcha latte days later, and need to go back to Kokoro No Coffee as soon as I am in town again. This was a spectacular find, and I hope this spot gets all the love it deserves! There is truly nothing like a great business ran by a great person and you can tell there's so much intention put into this concept. Highly, highly recommend and I could not sing praises more!

Yesterday afternoon (October 31th, Saturday), my family and I went to Maru Coffee…read more I've been coming to Maru Coffee for several years and have visited this place quite a few times. I've been here with members of my group, as well as with my family and friends on many occasions. We had Chinese food for lunch yesterday, and afterward, all of us felt like we needed some coffee to settle our stomachs because the food had been so greasy. So we decided to stop by Maru Coffee. I absolutely love their Cream Top, but the weather was cold yesterday, and I was told that the Cream Top was only available iced. Since I wasn't in the mood for an iced drink, I decided to skip it and ordered two Americanos instead. The coffee here is always incredibly fragrant and delicious. It's consistently good every time I visit. While enjoying our coffee, I noticed some people sitting at the table next to us. Instead of drinking their coffee from regular to-go cups, they were pouring coffee from a glass carafe into individual glass cups. I was curious about what they had ordered, so I went up to the counter and asked the staff member which menu item I would need to order to have my coffee served that way. She pointed out the Pour Over on the menu. Another highlight of my visit was meeting an adorable little dog at the table next to us. The dog was only 13 months old and was absolutely adorable! He came right over to me and was so friendly that I got to pet him quite a bit. The dog was also very well-behaved. Whenever the owner told him to sit, he would immediately sit down and listen so well. He was just too cute! Another interesting little interaction happened when a woman standing near the counter kindly told me to go ahead and order before her. I smiled and told her that I had already ordered and was just enjoying my coffee, so she could go ahead. We exchanged smiles, and she told me that she was trying to decide which coffee to get. I recommended the Cream Top, telling her that it was one of the best drinks here and that I highly recommended it. She asked if it was really that good, and after hearing my recommendation, she decided to order the Cream Top! We chatted for a little bit, and she asked me that you live here and I told her yes and asked where she lives. She said she lived in Orange County. I always enjoy coming to this coffee shop. The coffee is consistently delicious, which is probably why it's always so busy. The staff are also very friendly, and this is definitely one of my favorite coffee shops. There are a few downsides, though. First, the only parking available is street parking, and it can be pretty difficult to find a parking spot. Fortunately, I always seem to have really good parking luck! Yesterday was no exception. Just as we arrived, another car was pulling out, so we were able to park right away. Another downside is that the chairs at the tables aren't very comfortable. Also, there are no electrical outlets available to charge your cell phone. Despite those minor inconveniences, I really enjoy this place. Great coffee, friendly staff, and a nice atmosphere keep me coming back!
