I have been to cafe sasso many times but today was a different experience. During this whole pandemic you would think businesses would be excited to have people giving them business. Wrong. This place is pretty hip. I come here more often when it's warm out, as it's a bit of a pain to park far down Park Ave and walk in the snow for a latte. That has little to do with the quality of Cafe Sasso, though. Their honey bear lattes are seriously good. Their drink menu is pretty vast and unique, not many other cafes in Rochester offer as much variety. They also have alcoholic beverages and food options (I've tried their presto pesto sandwich and it was better than I expected it to be), which makes it an even better place to chill out with a friend or alone. I wouldn't say that Sasso is great for bigger parties, as I distinctly recall not being able to fit both my laptop and my sandwich on the table last time I was there. Got the Peace Train latte which has blackberry and dark chocolate in it--so good! Cute, hipster location which is a fun spot to come to with friends. Employees are quick and efficient, and products and services are good. Only downfall is parking--difficult to find on a busy evening, but we snagged a spot when we came before lunch. Highly recommend if you're near Park Ave.! read more

I come here all the time to do homework. Coffee is always good, especially their single origin options. Wifi can lag sometimes but that's probably because of the amount of people frequenting cafe sasso as it truly is a hidden gem in Rochester. A must if you're in the area. read more

My go-to coffee hookup. I do all my homework here, I hang out with my friends here, and it surprises me to no end that people don't know this spot. I live near Park Ave and I work on Park Ave so I'm here almost every day. If you're in Rochester, don't waste your time getting coffee anywhere else. Café Sasso was an ideal stop for a snowy morning in Rochester. It was nice to find out that they could make a vegan hot chocolate with soy milk, which was rich and creamy. Their Sasso blend coffee was solid as well. They had a few dairy free dessert options. We tried a cookie from Red Fern which we enjoyed. We also ordered some toast with avocado, jam, and peanut butter, which made for a great morning bite. Will keep an eye out to see if they add vegan sandwich options. Delightful, fun, engaging. The space is eclectic and calming, the staff thoughtful and knowledgeable. I came here after a Yelp search revealed there was branch of my local coffee shop in Rochester (here), but I thought, "wait, try something different". Had lunch here today with a friend of mine to plan ideas for my sister's bridal shower. Noise level was good! Was not too loud, wasn't too quiet either. Good for conversation. I have been here several times and have enjoyed every drink or meal I've had. If your looking to try something new and different check out one of the creative cocktails on the menu. I have been slacking on my Vanilla Chai drinking lately so this is my first trip since the name change. I like how they have taken out some of those tiny tables that they squeezed two chairs at in a very small spot. It cuts down on the seating but those tables were so uncomfortable that I would rather stand then sit at them. It felt a little warmer as far as the interior goes, maybe they had the lights turned up a little bit. My Chai was excellent - as always. I was sad that they no longer have the 20 oz cups though - I had to get a 16oz and it cost as much as the 20oz used to. That won't deter me from coming nearly every day I am around - but it did sadden me just a little. read more

This is my go-to coffee spot in the park Ave area. I've been coming to this location for a long time. It's had 3 or 4 names in that span. Anyway, the current iteration is my favorite. Plenty of seating and different styles. You want a high table with stools, you got it. Want a normal table to share with 2-4 people? They got that. Couches? Yeah, perfect for couples. You can even sit by the window at the counter and watch the people outside. They have great drinks too. I like that there's stuff on the menu I don't see at every other coffee shop. They have a liquor license too so you can have grown-folks coffee if that's what you're looking for. read more

Cafe Sasso is right around the corner from where I work so it is super convenient. My mom and I go there at least once a week when she meets me for lunch. Sure, the food is delicious and who wouldn't love a large gluten free chocolate cookie to brighten up their day? But the thing that sets Cafe Sasso apart from other coffee shops in the area is their customer service. They really care about their customers and the experience that they have while they are there. Whether you are dining, or just stopping in for a hot or frozen (or alcoholic) beverage, they want you to enjoy yourself and that alone makes it well worth the trip. read more

I really like the idea of this as coffee and cocktail venue...but it just didn't wow me. The coffee creations they had were interesting. My actual drink was lacking in the liquor department. Food is nothing special but it is a coffee shop...There were a lot of paninis on the list.
