Came here for desserts with my family the other night and the place was empty. Only 1 table is occupied. We placed an order for a bingsu and settled in at the couch by the window. We saw a handful of boardgames available so took the sushi jenga game to play while we waited. 5 minutes later the bingsu arrived. The strawberries were still frozen and they were way too cold for my toddler to consume without having brain freeze. Evidently he decided that he had enough. We got the bill and turned out that playing boardgame was not included . They charged me $3 per head for a 5 minute session playing a game that doesn't even have complete pieces. That's $9 on top of the already expensive $20 bingsu. Had I known that playing the game was extra on top, I would have not touched their games at all. There are other boardgame cafes nearby that offer way more game options. It was an unpleasant experience as it was not communicated to us and unfortunately we would not be coming back.

Princess platter. Two cakes, two ice cream, with fruits etc. Not too bad for sharing with another.

So I got a croffle which I guess is a croissant tossed in a waffle press. They were selling it for $6 and advertised a strawberry on the side. It wasn't warm. No flaky texture. No strawberry. Like I'd just go to metro to pick up a dozen croissants for the same price and a jar of nutella and toss it in the air fryer. Disappointing.

This is a very cute and cosy dessert cafe located in the Yonge/Finch area. It's on the second floor of the plaza (you have to go up narrow steps so unfortunately it is not easily accessible) The cafe is actually bigger than I expected, there are a few tables and plenty of comfy sofa/chairs in the seating area by the windows. You can definitely chill here with your drinks/dessert to your hearts content. We were here late at night -11pm, and it was pretty full. I just ordered an Americano, but my friends had some of the croffles. Waffles with toppings essentially. 1 Nutella and one Cheese. The Nutella one is overloaded with chocolate. Tbh, it would have been better if they had shown restraint bc you're basically eating blobs of chocolate (hey if that's your thing..go for it)! The cheese one was meh...basically Kraft singles melted on top. The decor is cute and the staff is very friendly. You pay at the cash at the back of the store when you're ready to leave. There is limited street parking in front.

Came to this cafe to study and do some work. Tried out their coffee and bingsu which were both pretty average. The cafe requires you to buy at least a drink to stay for 2 hours. The service was okay. The place has a couple tables, chairs, and couches - so it's not a bad place to do some work with friends.

Cafe Princess Ratings: 3.4/5 Food: 2.75/5 - We had dinner in the area with my boyfriend and his brother, and we wanted some Korean Bingsu as a refreshing treat. This place was on our list, but it didn't meet our expectations. I don't think Cafe Princess is worth the trip out if you are craving for desserts, maybe just go for the ambiance. See the descriptions of the items we got to share below - Green Tea Bingsu [GET]: This is better than the other dessert we got. Bingsu was pretty good, ice was nicely shaved and had a fluffy, cloud-like texture, and super creamy once it melts in your mouth. I like how it is kind of sweet too. The green tea ice cream was strong in flavors and love the green tea powder on top as well, added a slight bitterness. A good balance between the condensed milk and the corn flakes. - Princess Moffle [SKIP]: Never had a mochi waffle, so we got this to try. It definitely looks way better than it tastes. The mochi waffle was a big disappointment. It was not chewy or bouncy like what I expected, instead it was very crunchy and stiff and stale. The waffle literally sticks to my teeth after every bite, and it was super hard to get rid of it. The syrup or honey drizzled on top of the waffle had a weird taste to it, so couldn't really tell what it really was. The strawberry and cookies and cream ice cream were what you would expect it to be, nothing special either. Ambiance: 4/5 - Such a cute place to relax and chill. Everything is pink with lots of heart sticky notes everywhere including the ceilings. Interior is bigger than I expected. One side has tables and chairs, so ideal for studying, while the other side has sofa and benches, perfect for catching up with friends and enjoying the desserts and chat. I like it. Price: 3/5 - We got two desserts to share between the four of us. The Green Tea Bingsu was $13.98 and the Princess Moffle was $15.98 before tax. Prices are reasonable, but I don't think it's worth it for the quality and taste. Desserts was quite average, especially the Moffle. Service: 3.75/5 - Got seated almost immediately when we arrived, and the staff greeted us kindly. She took our order, and then the desserts came out within 15 minutes. There's water available but it's self-served, and you need to clean up after yourself. Not much interaction after placing the orders, since she seems to be pretty busy. You pay at the cash register when you are done. BLUF: A cute and cozy Korean dessert spot with tons of seating available, perfect spot to relax and wind down with a couple of friends if you are on Yonge. The desserts are mediocre and not worth it. I would say only come to Cafe Princess if you are looking for somewhere comfortable to chill and have a large group of people, otherwise there's many other dessert places on Yonge that's more worth it. I personally will not return again, since I didn't enjoy the desserts.

Injeolmi Bingsu | 9.5/10 - injeolmi is honestly one of my fave bingsu flavour. It was topped with red bean and almond pieces. It was a refreshing dessert that I'll definitely be visiting Cafe Princess again. Interior | 10/10 - such a cute interior! Everything was pink and cute. One side had sofas to sit on while you enjoy your dessert and the other side had tables to sit and eat. This is a great spot to work/study as well.

Visited cafe princess for a late night work sesh (They're open till 12 am most days) and they have outlets and cute couches to relax on! Got their waffle which comes with fruits and your choice of two icecreams ( I got cookies n cream and matcha ) $14.99- The waffle was really crisp and fresh! Overall not bad

I will never return to this location and will never even consider it. The service here is absolutely terrible; we did not have a good time. We weren't even allowed to sit on the red sofa because there were only three of us, despite the fact that the rest of the sofas were reserved by other groups of three and the rest of the space was empty. The bingsoo was disgusting, and the cheesecake tasted stale and expired. I couldn't eat anything else after that one bite. Despite the fact that there were three of us, we attempted to order one bingsoo because that was literally our limit, but they told us that this is a two-person order and that we had to order another thing. Usually, I understand that there are store policies that the employees have to follow, but they overall just left a pretty bad impression on me

Located on the second floor of a building. The cafe reminds me a place you would frequent with your high school friends. The place is divided into 2 sections. Left side has a few couches and right side has your typical tables. I got the Mochi Waffles. It was pretty good. Not too sweet. I also got the Blue Yuju Ade drink. It had lemon bits and syrup at the bottom topped with soda and I believe Blue Curacao.

Cute spot to study or hang out with friends. There is a private room at the back if you wanted a little more privacy. This was was my second time coming here to dessert. The menu options are great and the food is pretty good. I enjoyed my strawberry cheesecake frappe. :) On the other hand, I think the servers could have been a little more engaging. We had to go to the counter to ask to take our order and ask to pay because no one came to check up on us. Overall I had a good experience. I heard that they have board games on the side, I'll definitely have to check that out next time!

DO NOT GET THIS 'PRINCWSS M-AFFLE' ‼‼‼
    Kristy C.

bad food. bad service. expensive. what else can i say? i wish i never came here. oh ya. also a bad note to end my friends birthday celebration. we asked what the difference is between the princess waffle and princess maffle, with only a 1 letter difference between 'w' and 'm' and were told that a m-affle would include rice-like ingredients. we decided on the princess w-affle because we dont quite like mochi or rice ingredients. the staff took the wrong order and a m-affle arrived. it looked off to us at first, but we didnt question it because its our first time here, but once we tasted it, we were very off-put (it tastes so bad) and we asked the staff whether we got the wrong order. the staff said sorry about the miscommunication but wouldnt exchange the m-affle since we each took one bite (4 person group) and didnt offer any consolation their milkshake is also terrible. its basically wattery milk. my friends had warned me about this bad cafe before and i shouldve taken their warning more seriously, absolute terrible experience

Quality and care has went down a lot I used to frequent cafe princess years ago and found the cafe really cute! The cafe used to have a comfortable personality, cute atmosphere and a decent selection of drinks and desserts with decent quality. Now, the quality has gone down a lot. I ordered some fruit with yogurt, two pots of teas (apricot and rose) & rice cake sul bing. The pot of tea literally had no filter for the rose tea. This really sucked because rose leaves were falling in the cup. When I asked for additional cups, they gave me PLASTIC cups..... this has never happened before.. so that was disappointing. the fruit platter was decent, fruits were fresh. Unfortunately they gave HALF our utensils as silverware and the other half PLASTIC The sul bing was OK I'd give it a PASS, but would not order again. The portion size was quite small and the rice cake was really hard. The red bean was also not fully cooked and was hard as well. BUT,the shaved ice itself was quite good and wasn't very bland. Lastly, the service was non-existent. No one to check up on us from beginning to end. Also no one to take our order. We also got attitude asking for extra things such as cups and napkins. Unfortunately, I will not be back and really advise everyone to steer away from here.

Princess Waffle with Green Tea and Cookies and Cream Ice Cream - $9.98 (You get to choose any 2 flavours of ice cream for this one)
    Lash K.

I usually end up going once a year to this place , and I've enjoyed it everytime. Prince Range: $4-$6 for drinks. $6-$15 for desserts. Every person at your table must purchase at least 1 item. I believe waffles can be split between 2 people and be counted as 2 items. Food Quality (Taste/Portion/Menu): 4/5 They have a large menu that has a variety of desserts, so it's perfect for the many different dessert cravings you might have! The waffles are a bit cheaper compared to other dessert places but are usually smaller. They taste pretty good and the actual waffle has different flavours, which is pretty unique compared to other places that just use a generic waffle. I love their cold drinks which include coffee based drinks and lemonades . They usually a good size and taste great! The sweet potato latte and it tasted mostly like steamed milk. The sweet potato taste was very faint, so I wouldn't recommend it. Atmosphere - 5/5 Though I did enjoy their desserts, the atmosphere is the main draw of this place. It's a very cute looking place, perfect for small groups or dates. You're able to play board games or cards here. I wouldn't recommend it for hardcore studying cause the couches are too comfy. They have stuffed animals everywhere and most of the seats are couches. The place isn't overly big so might be best to call ahead of time. They do not have their own parking lot, so street parking will have to do. Service - 4/5 The servers are usually really nice and welcoming and come at a regular rate to fill water. Food comes at a reasonable time and I believe they'll warn you if your order will take longer. Would I go here again? You know it Lash's Reccomendations: Blue Curaco Lemonade - If you like the Blue Curaco Soda, you'll like this, it's a great combination. Nuts Waffle - Who can say no to cookies and cream ice cream? The waffle has nuts blended into it.

While I don't go for the coffee, every now when visiting Canada, I'll stop by a Tim Hortons for hot chocolate and a donut. A few days ago when I was visiting Toronto, I met up with a cousin at the Tim Hortons at the Promenade in Thornhill, and while she got a coffee and a donut, I enjoyed a hot chocolate and a donut. We had the opportunity to order through a kiosk or in person, and we opted for an in-person order which included a discount through the app. The drinks and donuts were ready rather quickly, and while there was limited seating in the Tim Hortons itself, we sat in the food court area just outside of the Tim Hortons. The staff were nice and seemed to know what they were doing. The hot chocolate was tasty and chocolatey while the donut (a Chocolate Dip Donut) had a thicker dip than I am used to, but it was delicious! After trying my vanilla iced latte and my partner's macchiato... I wondered if this place might actually be better known for food or matcha, based on what I've seen in other reviews - the coffee was not good. The espresso beans seemed to be over-roasted, which were quite bitter for our liking as opposed to something more subtly chocolatey and nutty. My iced latte also got watery pretty quickly as the ice melted it seemed, and ended up tasting more like the kind of latte you'd get from a fast-food chain (or the espresso shot was way too long). A bit of a letdown, especially since the two fairly small drinks came to about $18. The space itself is cozy, and I really like the vinyl collection (which earned the 2 stars). That said, the records are noticeably pricey compared to typical vinyl shops like Sonic Boom. A lot of them -- even ones with just Side A -- were priced at $55 and up. I didn't cross-check the barcodes on Discogs, but while I love the curation (especially the focus on Japanese jazz and city pop -- really cool stuff), I find it hard to believe all of them are rare pressings worthy of those $55-to-several-hundred-dollar price tags. The only reason for the 4 star review is that the ambiance is lacking and far more of a takeout place than a sit down, with plastic cutlery being used for dine-in.
