    Vanilla latte

Tried this place on a whim when I went to the bagel shop next door. I got a latte with vanilla syrup. I asked for it to be sweet, it wasn't which was whatever. I probably wouldn't even go back. The vibes weren't welcoming, the menu wasn't all that.

Tucked away off of Grand River, Cafe Prince brings fresh to another level - there's even raw carrots if you wish to take some home. They offer juice and meals that highlight the veggies that they use. I just hopped in for a coffee and got the maple shakerato and it was so yummy. Not overly sweet and not bitter by any means, and already made with a milk alternative (i think coconut). The staff is super friendly and the vibes are so great. The inside isn't too large, but the courtyard is a great spot to enjoy any bevy made at cafe prince.

terrible coffee, the espresso was burnt and literally tasted like dirt. I cannot believe they have such high reviews.

The food was fantastic, everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and worth the wait. The service was just as good. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and kept things moving even though the place was packed. The only thing I thought was a little odd was that syrup for the pancakes was an extra charge instead of coming with them, but it definitely wasn't enough to take away from the experience. Just know there's probably going to be a wait, but honestly it's easy to see why. I'd happily wait again. We'll definitely be back!

Brooklyn street local you have finally won me over…read more I've been here several times but every time it wasn't my decision. When you have brunch with the girls it's hard to get a vote in and tbh I plan everything else we do so I'm happy to take a break on Sunday because I am god after all. Anyway I went on my own accord today. The service was beautiful. I really don't love having to order off of my phone because it limits the server to customer experience but despite that my server Mary made me feel super connected to her. She had great recommendations and knowledgeable descriptions of the menu. I sat on the patio with a nice breeze and minimal bugs. Seating was spacious and delightful. I got the brekwhich and it was soooooo delish. Mary could tell I was a freak so she had the crazy idea to put their locally farmed 3 berry jam on it. I told her it reminded me of that one episode of SpongeBob and I lost her :/. The savory plus the sweet was heaven in my heart. If he could he would, and apparently everyone's afraid of heaven. I also got my fav a BM (Bloody Mary). I didn't ask what mix they use like I usually do, I had faith. And I was right to do so. McClure's! MY FAVORITE TIED WITH VIVIOS! It came with a spicy peppery rim which was aight but that's not really my thing, I'm not that freaky! But I don't yuck anyone's yum. I also got the NEW lavender mimosa. Fragrant, festive and fastidious. It was a bright light that woke me up in a way only summer light is able to do. Angels are blinding, I hope Mary can still see because she took a peak in my heart to deliver the best experience. 10/10 will be back Side note I really don't get poutine for breakfast but I appreciate people sticking with brand. And I don't have to order that :)

The side sauce helped, but I was surprised at how plain the food I ordered tastes. It smells good inside. I wonder if the fried rice balls or quesadillas are tastier. Once at their pop-up in Cork Town (highly recommend following their IG for info!), once at a food policy conference which they catered, and recently i was able to get out to their brick and mortar on Woodard. All three occasions did not disappoint! the complexity of flavor, the locally sourced ingredients, and the joyous staff make Pink Flamingo a true gastronomy. i will spend a little time talking about the two events in the past. Other than the fact that i literally ate 6 chicken salad sandwiches and took one to go at the conference (nuff said). However, in my most recent experience i was driving up Woodward and decided to pop in and see what was on the menu this week. The Quesadilla dinner caught my eye. Three quesadillas, filled with a protein of your choice, come with two sides. For protein, i went with the blackened white fish, and for sides, i chose beans and fried plantains. Rich and piquant flavor on the fish, met by a crispy cheezy quesadilla, all together it was savory and scrumptious. Plus, the sides were perfect additions, the plantains offering a sweet and salty bite and the beans cooked perfectly. Loved every bite and can't wait to make Pink Flamingo a regular lunch spot! Also great storefront, they sell locally made products so it's great to see those dollars stay in the community and the collaborative promotion of other businesses! And the staff were super friendly coming from around the counter to talk with us. Also, for a Friday at 3, the place was not too busy at all. Quiet, easy in and out. If you are having an event, have them cater. If it's Thursday in the summer and you're looking to kick back around a fire and fill your face with nutritious, delicious, and creative food, go to the Cork Town spot (weather permitting).

Despite the freezing cold weather, they were able to keep the restaurant at a comfortable temperature. However, the food and drinks just weren't satisfying. My food took some time to come out but the waitstaff did a good job taking orders, making drinks in a timely fashion, and answering any questions To improve I'd say make the tacos more appealing. Create something that makes a powerful impact on my taste buds. The drinks could use more flavor. The tacos needed more flavor, esp the shrimp.
