It was served with an array of olives on the plate. So good! They were out of the egg salad sandwich by the time we arrived, which was something a family member wanted to try, but they ordered an avocado toast instead. Also great and served with olives. The service was fast and thoughtful. Order at the counter and your food is brought to your table. We found a great shaded spot outside for the five of us with a view facing the bustling bakery inside. Many people brought their bikes or dogs (allowed outside only) and met up with friends to eat and chat. At one point a server brought out an order of bread that we did not order, but he left it with us anyway, free of charge. So glad we got to try Sage Bakehouse and I'd definitely visit several more times when in the area!

The "to-go" line was a little slow, mostly due to a combination of chatter and specialty coffee drink preparation. But I wasn't much in a hurry. Perfect combo of soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Highly recommend. It was so good that I wish I'd bought more. I have yet to try the pumpkin empanada, so will have to update this once I've eaten that tomorrow. The panadería is not self-serve at this time, but that wasn't a problem as long as you're ok with naming or pointing at things and having an employee bag things up for you. The gentleman behind the counter was so, so kind and chatted with me or answered all my questions while packing up the pan dulce in a bag. Also, added bonus: prices here are extremely reasonable. Only gave 4 instead of 5 stars because I was hoping the concha would be a bit more moist, but it heated up well at home and was nice and squishy/soft after warming it up. Still enjoyed it!
