This is among my favorite restaurants to dine! I always order my favorite, the Vegetarian Plate, and I ask for gyro meat instead of dolmas and it never disappoints! Every component of the Veggie Plate is absolutely delicious! Its a great sampler to try a little of everything with leftovers to spare! It includes hummus, falafel, tzatziki, dolmas, babaghanoosh,and spanakopita. Hubby ordered the special crab stuffed fish, I think it was Snapper and tomato soup. They initially forgot the crab but brought more than enough out quickly to correct the mistake and it was soooo good! They also serve a pita basket. The salad has fresh cut tomatoes, crisp lettuce, cucumbers, and a nice dressing! I told my hubby other restaurants never serve nice plump tomatoes with their salads. The waiter was attentive and kept our glasses filled! Give this place a try and support small businesses! The food and service was great! Whenever I'm in town I make it a point to eat here. It's very much appreciated to have this unique cuisine as a different option to have an enjoyable meal esp if you want to try something new! read more

Tried this place recently, in search of good Mediterranean in the area. Really wanted to love this place. 1) prices are steep. portion sizes are tiny for what you get and for what you pay. 2) skip the gyro sandwich. Was nothing special and was not served with any tzaziki like you'd expect. Fries were lackluster. 3) chicken was quite good (very tender) along with fries and green beans. Not horrible but nothing that is come back to. There is certainly better mediterranean in the area, so back to the drawing board. No value and overpriced. read more

I am so disappointed because this was our favorite Mediterranean restaurant and we've just been trying to support businesses during this insane time. Went to pick up our to go order and while standing up front waiting, saw one of the employees open our to go order, take a piece of food out, put it in her mouth and then close the lid to still serve us!!! Who does that?! Especially with the extra safety precautions we should be taking right now. It was the most disgusting unsanitary thing I've seen. Decided to let them know, give them a chance to remedy the situation. They offered no sort of discount or complimentary item for now having to wait for them to remake my food which should of been untouched in the first place. On top of that the food was lack luster..baklava was undercooked and food just average. So underwhelmed for what we paid for the food..will not eat there again.. read more

Our Cafe Medi experience in Keller wasn't as enjoyable as the experience in Hurst. The building is charming. We had the veggie platter and falafel pitas. Everything was good. I was disappointed to see what looked like jarred dill pickles on the platter though - felt fast food-ish. We think someone must have gotten sick because a STRONG smell permeated our area that smelled like ... well... you get it. It was good but nothing special. I'll return to Medi Hurst even though this one is much closer. read more

There is good greek/Mediterranean food and then there is this place. The lemon soup was okay and the hummus was good but the chicken schawarma was dry as dust and had no flavor. If I go again will stick with the hummus. The Baba Ghanoush was the worst. read more

Probably the best falafel wrap I've had, served with well seasoned fries, in a feels-like-home atmosphere with friendly and usually well paced service. Saganaki appetizer is great, pita bread is great. Nice place to go when it's cold out. Only issue is that I always ask for my wrap no tomato and there's always tomato. Not a big deal, I just take them off, but it's a small attention to detail I would appreciate. One of my favorite places though, I'm a regular here and that's not changing soon. read more

The food was just fair at best and pricier than needed to be compared to other Greek restaurants. Fries cold and pita tasted day old. There were also several signs that sanitation was not a priority. Menu had caked food inside of it and the blinds and windowsills are dirty and dusty. We also witnessed the waiter not wash his hands after busing a nearby table and then serving other guests. Not to mention the owner came out in a undergarment T-shirt and dirty apron. He walked outside to the street to get the mail. Then came back into the kitchen. Highly recommend the souvlaki (all are delicious but the lamb is the best), so tender and perfectly seasoned and cooked. The portions are large and very filling. I just had a lunch Greek salad and added gyro meat to it for a grand total of $17.21, which in itself is ridiculous. I added the gyro meat to it, but that was an additional $6 (making the total $17). While it was a big portion, the meat had very little flavor like normal gyro meat does and tasted like it was reheated. The tzatziki sauce was ok and the dressing was just some odd pink stuff. Not terrible, but not normal Greek dressing. This is also the first time I've ever had a Greek salad with hamburger dill pickles on it...odd. I got my order to go so maybe that's why it wasn't the greatest, but I will stick to the Hurst location as it has been consistently delicious whether picking up or dining in. Sadly I will not be back to this location. The staff and atmosphere were nice though. read more

Very good when you want something different and healthy. I always get combo schwarma. So good. The sauces are great too. Love their rice and the green beans with tomatoes. It also comes with a salad. I am in love with this restaurant! We went for dinner last weekend on Sunday evening. We tried to go the night before but there was no parking. Sunday evening they still had a good crowd going but we were able to get in and seated in a booth immediately. First impression was that this was a well-loved place that has a good amount of regulars. It is very comfortable and relaxed, though it is nice. If that makes sense. It feels like some place you would be recognized and remembered after a few visits. Very welcoming. We started with pita and hummus, which was very good. The hummus was fresh tasting and had the perfect amount of oil and spice. I ordered the shawerma combo so that I could try both their beef and chicken. It came with either soup or salad as well as rice and veggies. I opted for the lemon rice soup. I had had it before up in Minnesota and remember loving it so I was excited to see that they had it here. It did not disappoint. I would describe it as having a vibrant taste. So good! My entrée was just as good - the beef and chicken were both delicious. I used leftover pita from our hummus to make little shawerma tacos. The rice was good, but the veggies. Oh the veggies. Green beans and tomato goodness, y'all. I could eat a vat of that alone! My husband got the mixed grill. He was happy with the souvlaki chicken and beef, but didn't really care for the kefta kabob. We left full and with PLENTY of leftovers. I think in total we paid around $30 so for the amount of food and the quality we did good. We will definitely be going back to Café Medi. Ordered to go last night from the new Cafe Medi in Keller. Having eaten at the Cafe Medi in Colleyville on several occasions (and loving it), I was familiar with the menu. Tried the Charbroiled Chicken and the Pastitsio. Also tried the hummus. The to-go order came well packaged, cold foods packaged seperate from hot dishes, and extra Pita as promised by the person taking the phone order. Food arrived home hot, perfectly cooked, and none the worse for the travel! Preparation time was not excessive, and it was ready at the time I was told it would be...nice job!!! Chicken was excellent, but the Pastitsio was the hit of the evening!!! Love the spice and texture. Not over cooked, tender, and delicious. Hummus also was excellent! Although I took food to go, the inside of Cafe Medi Keller is quaint and inviting! I do look forward to dining at Cafe Medi very soon!!! The fact that it is BYOB is an added plus!!! This location is very cute - a renovated old house in the old area of Keller makes for a charming atmosphere. The interior is a little discordant with the funky blue exterior - they clearly aimed to look upscale, but it falls a little short. I've only been for lunch and am a sucker for their falafel pitas. Even better, they'll swap out the side of fries for hummus which you can enjoy with the delicious complementary pita bread they serve. They have the same menu as the Hurst location. I haven't done a comparison of dishes, but imagine you can expect the same quality of food here. Lunch hours tend to be slow here, so service is typically fast and friendly. They are closed on Mondays, which I learned the hard way, and also close between lunch and dinner, so be sure to check the hours before heading out there. read more

With all the great reviews, my husband and I decided to give this restaurant a try. Unfortunately we wish we did not. We were in town visiting my family, took my mom and children to eat here the night before we flew out. They first sat us outside which was a great setting BUT the mosquito's were crazy so we moved inside. Where there was a large roach on our booth seats. We thought about just leaving, but decided to stay. We asked to move again to a normal table in middle of restaurant. Our food was delicious, so we were happy we stayed... Until shortly after leaving the restaurant, I was sick to my stomach with food poisoning.... And then my husband got it. Luckily mine only lasted a few hours, but my husbands lasted almost 40 hours... which was such a bummer because we had to take a 4 1/2 hour flight the next day with our children while he was sick. Excellent food. Warm pita bread when you sit down. The flaming cheese is amazing, a bit to much lemon juice for my taste, but good nonetheless. The jumbo shrimp were juicy and flavorful. We finally had the opportunity to visit here in person. We've ordered takeout and always have been impressed. Our visit was the week of Christmas, so it was decorated with all kinds of festive goodies including twinkle lights. A lovely little atmosphere to spend the evening. Our wait staff was fabulous. About as friendly with us and the kids, as I could possibly imagine. And when our little guy started to have a meltdown, she was prepared with our check before we even had the fear of a two year old struck into our hearts. She must be a mom ;). The food... let's talk. Hubby thought his was OK, and he'll probably order something different next time. I ordered the cabbage roles (special, but soon to be added to menu), and they were DIVINE! Like super yummy, and crave-worthy. Plenty of food in the portions, enough so that I was able to take a bit home. We ordered the kids a pita pizza (can't recall what it was called), and it was oddly messy for them. More of a teenager thing than something I'll order for my toddlers next time. They had plenty of other kids options though, so that won't deter us at all. We'll definitely be back. This little gem is close to home, a cool atmosphere in the heart of old Keller, and is super super yummy (my opinion weighs more than my husband's). Me and the Hubs had lunch here this past Saturday. It was such a dazzling day we just had to eat outdoors. I remembered reading that this Café Medi location has a patio, so we headed on over. When we got there, I was amazed at how the owners have transformed this location. The indoor dining area is super-nice and classy. It's a MAJOR change from the restaurant that was here before. Plus they added a very nice and fairly large patio and garden out back (maybe 15-20 tables outside?). With an umbrella to block the sun, it was extremely pleasant. After perusing the menu, we decided to share the Vegetarian Plate ($10.95 - Hummus, Falafel, Tzatziki, Dolmas, Babaghanoosh and Spanakopita and pita) and we each also had a salad. I had the Fattoosh ($6.95) and the Hubs had the Greek Salad ($7.95). This was a lot of food, but reasonably light since it was meatless. Everything was really tasty. I'm not a big fan of falafel, but these were good, too. The salads were fresh and tangy with the lemon juice in the dressing. I guess my only minor critique of the meal is that I wouldn't have minded a bit more garlic in the three dips on the Vegetarian Plate. Our server was friendly and efficient. Refills were tended to in a timely manner and he checked to see if we needed more pita. All-in-all, it was a delightful meal on a very delightful day. I'm looking forward to going back and trying their other offerings. (One small note I might make to the management is about your hours on Saturday. As with Tuesday thru Friday, lunch is from 11-2:30, then dinner from 5-10. You might want to think about staying open between 2:30 and 5 like your web site shows for Sunday. I can't believe this is the first time I have been here I drove past it 1000 times. My friends and I ordered the vegetarian plate as an appetizer and it came with spanakopita, hummus, pita, stuffed grape leaves, and falafel. Every bit of this dish was delicious and I could've made a meal out of the hummus and pita. For my meal I chose the falafel pita wrap and fries. It was fresh, tasty, and filling. I also sampled my friends bowl of soup she chose for lunch which was a lemon chicken soup that I cannot wait to get next time I'm there and my other friend had the marinated chicken kebabs I sampled them also and they were mouthwatering good. The inside is decorated really cute and the atmosphere is cozy. I definitely felt a Mediterranean vibe. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Nice to get a little variety in the neighborhood without the drive. Came in for lunch and was seated quickly, though service was a little slow. There was a big party of very chatty ladies coming in at various times. Typical Greek fare so I had to get my gyros going. I was looking for something small in addition to meal so asked friendly person going by who suggested Baba ghanoush. I appreciate how he offered half order since portion was big so I tried. Pita bread was nice and warm and they made regular rounds to refill my tea glass. Prices very reasonable and nothing super expensive on menu (though I did not try any of the fish on the menu board).
