Cafe latte is still my go-to spot for cakes. Nothing beats their tres leches cupcakes! It's easy to preorder a cake for pickup and service is usually great.

Stopped in for lunch and love how quick the service was. Food was delicious. Plenty of seating room. Only con is parking, it can be a hassle especially during lunch.

Look what I got for my birthday. This is my family's favorite cake place and our main go to. I always get this chocolate buttercream slice. The lemon torte and the tarts are the next in line. I recently tried the classic cheesecake and that was just as delicious. So many options so satisfy every taste; chocolate, sour/tart and fruity. They also have main food options. Albuquerque chicken soup - yum. Spread sampler with green olive tapenade - yum. Lastly, they have salads and sandwiches also. You won't be disappointed.

My wedding party and I stopped here in between dress shopping stops and it was a hit! Cafe Latte is always a good idea but especially with a group in a bit of a time crunch. Everyone can get what they want and split a dessert at that. We arrived a little before noon and that was perfect timing, there was a line after we left. Our table was promptly cleaned and the staff were very helpful with questions about the menu. Will be back!

Need a meal, or salad and soup, or fresh baked bread or how about a Tres Leche Birthday Cake!! Counter service moves fast and online ordering is easy. Always a favorite and one of my favorite spots.

Barbecue Chicken Potato Pizza + sausage and jalapeños. & a small Mocha!

Pizza was yummy but the potatoes arnt the best, the pizza could use some seasoning or could use more sauce,m but it was very cheesy and yummy! They load up the pizza with toppings! Also, the wait time was about 10ish mins for a pizza.

This is one of my favorite spots to visit on Grand. I usually order some type of salad and a soup. My food was delicious per usual. Service was friendly and speedy. The ambiance is such a great welcoming vibe. I love the big windows that let in a lot of natural light.

The space is shared by multiple other businesses but this is where the line starts for cafe latte

Street parking for the most part besides a paid parking ramp across the street. Clean location with plenty of space to sit upstairs. Went during lunch hour and the place was hopping but kudos to the staff members to keep the line moving so fast while being attentive and very hospitable. Had the smoked turkey on wheat bread, bag of chips & a fountain drink. Came out to be $15. The sandwich was ok, nothing to brag about. A great place if you are wanting a quick bite!

40 years and still going strong -no surprise. They have a "to go" only section which I believe was part of an expansion a few years back before I left the Twin Cities. Deep Chocolate Flourless (very similar to what I remember as Michael's Fudge) and Toll house Torte-a favorite that happened to be available during my visit on the same day-what great luck to have the Toll house as this one is on rotation. I also saw the Turtle Cake was still around as well German Chocolate cake-two that don't disappoint. They have salads, sandwiches and of course coffee but it has always been about the dessert for me. Service has always been engaged and friendly. If in St. Paul, make this stop for their amazing and endless dessert options.

Honestly I have been here for the past 8-9 years including during the pandemic so I don't know why I have not given it a review yet, but suffice it to say that for someone like me who doesn't even really eat cake, I will come here specifically for cake. That's how good they are. Before and after the pandemic, their cake quality has stayed consistent. They also publish on their website what cakes they have everyday in addition to the 9 types that are available everyday, so that those that really enjoy a special item can plan ahead. I took photos of some of the items that I have traditionally ordered the most, both before and after the pandemic, but I would also recommend the classic vanilla cheesecake and the turtle cake, which are not pictured. In addition to cake, their hot food is also pretty good, with various options of soup and bread available for a reasonable price and pizzas baked fresh next door near the register where one would order or pick up whole cakes. Prices have increased over the years and for some reason the pizza doesn't taste as fresh (both the basil and the mozzarella), and looks a bit smaller, which might be my illusion. That doesn't change the fact that this establishment is worth a 5 in my book, though. Whenever I have friends visiting from out of town and wants to try cake, this would be the first place I bring them to.

I have had this on my list for some time and am so glad I was finally able to visit. I met a former colleague here for a lunch to catch up. The cafeteria style line has you grab a tray and head to a salad, sandwich, or soup section. I chose one of the ready made salads. It was called Feta Festival (or something like that) and it was delicious. More like an authentic Greek salad, it had chickpeas, cucumbers, red onion, olives and some other items I'm probably forgetting. So good! I stepped to the soup section to get a crusty piece of St Paul Sour Dough bread. We sat upstairs with lots of windows and bright light. Staff was helpful and worked to move the long line along as quick as possible. Parking was an adventure as it usually is in this area of St Paul. I found a spot that was only a block and a half away. No worries walking on such a beautiful afternoon. Great experience.

So delicious, massive portions, and many flavors to choose from! Spacious spot with two levels. They also have lunch and dinner offerings too, but many go for the dessert!

Do they still have the spread sampler, I don't see it listed on their website?

We have been there several times since the restrictions have lifted. Neither my husband or myself remember seeing the spread sampler. They still have the salad sampler-2 or 3 choices. You could call and ask, though.

    Do they make egg-less cakes?

    Do they provide WiFi?

    No wifi!

    Can you take items to-go?

Yes! They have to-go container upon request. There's also a separate, quicker line for ordering takeout. (It's around the corner).

Do they deliver? If not can anyone tell me a place close that does?

I believe they do through bitesquad but if you are far from their St Paul location they won't.

    Is this good for brunch?

I guess it depends on what you like to eat at brunch. I personally have been there just about all times of the day and have never been disappointed.

    How is the carrot cake?

It is just okay. I had better carrot cakes. If you're at Cafe Latte, I'd recommend the tres leches.

But, we were able to order and drink one drink during the ~45 minutes we had. They closed up shop promptly at 10pm. They had a classics and a "rumors" section of the menu. I didn't think the signature drinks were overly unique, with classics like Paper Plane making that menu side. I had a pomegranate mojito which was good! Consensus was that the cocktails were good not exceptional, especially for the $16-17 price point. We ordered churros for the table which were a table favorite! I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again, but we enjoyed our time and could see this being a good option if you lived in the neighborhood and don't mind the early close hours.

I've only heard good things about this restaurant and it definitely lives up to the name. I actually ended up recommending this spot to too many friends, coworkers, and family members, I also came here on Mother's Day with my parents and they absolutely loved it. As far as food, I have tried the cream cheese wontons, the chicken sandwich (popular), the sticky jicama ribs (insanely good), and the rice noodle salad dish. I simply asked a question about it to the manager. And the owner brought me out a different drink that he thought I would like better. Talk about service. I ordered the jicama ribs, and they were some of the best faux meat product I've had in my life. Essentially, it was layers of tofu and jicama sliced and then pressed together and cooked.
