Stopped in for a pick me up before dinner and got to energy I needed. Had to circle back the following morning for the Cubano latte! Service has been great on both visits and everything was made fresh with quality ingredients.

Take an intermezzo (intermission) from your busy day and slow down at this European inspired cafe. This has quickly and easily become one of my favorite spots in Nashville and I already can't wait to go back. It literally felt like I stepped into a cafe in Europe when walking through the door. The decor is absolutely STUNNING. From a long list of coffee and brunch options to their stunning pastries, this spot is perfect for slowing down between life's busy acts. What I ordered: -Cafe Latte -Baked Brie, Banana & Nutella Crepe, Strawberry & Nutella Crepe Parking: Pay to park lots and garages

Cafe Intermezzo gives me all the feels. If you're up for brunch, lunch, dinner or dessert they have options for you. We walked in on Christmas Eve morning and were quickly seated. I indulged myself with one of their Belgian waffles with mango toasted coconut. I loved that it wasn't overly sweet and you get a little crunch from the toasted coconut. The mango was a surprisingly refreshing touch and I would definitely get it again. I also had the Cioccoloccino. Not only was it beautiful and filled to the brim, it had a super strong coffee flavor that was great to start the day!

This place is located on Demonbreun street between third and fourth. So many incredible choices here and I like that it is fairly quick service. The interior is as European as it gets and the staff is always so pleasant. Pay close attention to the coffee and drinks menu as it offers so many great options. Whatever they are doing to the scrambled eggs puts them top of the list. They are some of the best I have ever had. Also try the breakfast potatoes - they will keep you coming back.

I have heard such great things about Cafe Intermezzo and have always wanted to try it out. After leaving an event at Bridgestone, we finally decided to stop by for some dessert! It definitely exceeded my expectations. We were able to get a table right away, and when you walk in, there's a big dessert display case which is always exciting. Our waiter was extremely nice and was able to explain some questions we had about the menu. I ended up getting a cappuccino that had hazelnut spread (Nutella) in it, and it was fantastic! We also ordered the hot chocolate Berlin which was the same thing as me just in hot chocolate form. That was also incredible!! We all split the chocolate raspberry torte and the tiramisu and both were also fresh and delicious. The ambiance felt like I wasn't even in Nashville, and since it was cold, it definitely felt very cozy. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and can't wait to go back! It's definitely a little pricey, but I expect that in the downtown area.

I had a taste for something sweet and Cafe Intermezzo is where I ended up. I popped in to see what cheesecakes they had and settled for the white chocolate raspberry. I walked right in and went to the bar to place my order. Smooth and easy process. All I have to say is pull up! You will NOT be disappointed. They say the cookies n cream is a crowd favorite.

Comfy, cute, and fancy little restaurant with amazing desserts, a plethora of coffees and delicious bites from around Europe. They definitely have a neat theme with not only the food, decor, but also various language lessons playing in the restrooms. The food and drinks are amazing and the service is top notch. If you park at the top of the hill and walk down you might even find some $4 street parking. Very worth the visit. Great for dates at any time of the day or night!

Really enjoyed my iced Intermezzo cappuccino at Café Intermezzo. The service was great--our server even mentioned she could make any of the drinks in an iced version, which was a nice touch. The coffee was smooth and refreshing, and the atmosphere made it a great place to relax!

Such a unique and intimate dining experience! Definitely had an old-timey feel and kind of felt like I was transported to France. When walking in, they have a case full of different assortments of cheesecake. The mood lighting was really nice and added to the date night vibe. We ordered the peanut butter hot chocolate, the hot chocolate deluxe and a slice of the traditional cheese cake. All came with Schlag (fancy whipped cream) and it was all so so yummy and rich! some of the best hot chocolate and cheesecake I've had. Highly recommend on a cold winter night and as a nightcap after dinner! The only thing I'd say is it's all very sweet, so if you have a sweet tooth this place is definitely for you- I don't, so it was a bit too sweet for me.

This is such a lovely cafe and we can't wait to come back. We stopped in last year after an event downtown and we had a great meal. Our server was attentive and helpful and the atmosphere inside is just so relaxing (you really do feel like you're in a European cafe). My wife loved her salad with grilled chicken and I really enjoyed my sandwich with a side Caesar salad. We really enjoyed coming here and will definitely be back!

Only visited for a quick grab and go coffee while downtown, but they had plenty on their menu if you wanted to eat. There was some street parking nearby too.

Cafe Intermezzo in Nashville was amazing. The ambiance alone is worth the visit! There was moody lighting, candles, and such a cozy, romantic vibe. We ordered the peanut butter hot chocolate and the deluxe hot chocolate, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the best hot chocolate I've ever had. Rich, indulgent, and perfectly made. We also tried the traditional cheesecake with schlaag, and WOW! It was so creamy, so good, and the perfect dessert to end the night. This is an ideal spot for a date night or a fun, relaxed evening with friends. On top of all that, the servers were fantastic. They were super friendly and always checking in without being overbearing. Can't wait to come back!

My office placed a pickup order, and I went with the Spicy Tortellini and a full Blackened Salmon. I'd seen so many glowing reviews for the tortellini that I was a little nervous it might be overwhelmingly spicy--but it was perfect. Just the right amount of heat: bold, flavorful, and pleasantly warm without being too hot. The blackened salmon was outstanding--perfectly seasoned with that beautiful charred crust, yet incredibly moist and delicious inside. Both dishes exceeded expectations and were packed with flavor. Highly recommend both! If you're on the fence about the spice level, go for it--you won't be disappointed.

It feels historic in the best way, like it's lived a few lives (old house shoe repair shop now a coffee spot that somehow makes you want to slow down and stay awhile). We didn't try any food this time, but based on the long line of people happily waiting for it, I'm taking that as a strong sign. The coffee, though? Legit. You can tell the beans are fresh, smooth, clean, and more "grown-up, sophisticated coffee flavor" than sugary coffee dessert. We ordered an iced caramel latte and an espresso martini (hold the cream) and both were excellent. The latte was balanced and smooth, and the espresso actually came through (not hidden under caramel). The espresso martini was the surprise star: they add an orange liqueur that gives it a little citrus lift, which makes it taste brighter and more interesting than the standard version. Naturally, we left with a bag of their espresso beans because now we're convinced we can recreate that martini at home. Will it be as good as Frothy Monkey's? Probably not. But we're going to try... you know, for science. If you like places with personality, history, and coffee that tastes like someone actually cares, this one's top of the list.

There was a line when we arrived, but it wasn't so bad. It moved by pretty quickly. While in line, you bypass all the pastries displayed behind the glass and they looked beautiful! Everything looked amazing. I ended up ordering the Twice Baked Croissant and the Fried Chicken Breakfast Sandwich. The Twice Baked Croissant was just incredible. It had pistachios on top, a pistachio cream inside, and also a cherry or raspberry jam inside too. I love pistachios, and the pistachio cream inside was so light, creamy, delicate, but flavorful. I absolutely loved all the different textures. The croissant was airy and fluffy inside, and the outside had a nice flaky exterior. And the fruit jam inside complemented the pistachio cream very well, it added a nice sweetness that blended well with the cream. For me, it tied the whole thing together. I will definitely be thinking of this pastry when I think of pistachio croissants. And for the Fried Chicken Breakfast Sandwich? Wow. I didn't know what to expect, but it was much larger than I anticipated. It was tall, like when I was bringing it to the table the top part of the bun almost fell off my plate because it had height. The fried chicken piece was great: juicy and had a nice golden color. It was crispy and also quite large for a chicken piece.. All the components about it were executed well: the fried chicken, the coleslaw! (i'm a coleslaw fanatic), and the sauce inside the sandwich was wonderful. Also last but not least, the fried egg too? Wow. I love a good runny egg. I'm not exaggerating, I was drenching the pieces of my sandwich in the sauce on my plate. It was just that good. Genuinely, I couldn't believe I finished that sandwich because it was very filling and that fried chicken piece was huge! Service was fast and friendly, I liked interacting with them. It is pretty small inside and we came on a weekend so it was busy and packed. We were lucky to snag a small table but it was difficult to find seating when we got our food. All in all, I'm so happy we came here. Yes it is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. The quality is clearly there and showed up through everything we got.
