I grabbed dinner with my family as we were craving Chinese food. It's very reasonably priced and unlimited food which is a good deal! There's definitely a large variety of food from seafood, various meats, Chinese, sushi and American! It was very clean which is something I liked when picking out what food to eat! The staff were very friendly and always offered napkins and clean plates for trash. The environment was very family friendly and it was calm. They even have claw machines in the entertainment which is very cool! I definitely recommend this place for Chinese buffet! read more

Food is to be expected from a normal pretty cheap buffet, though it's 4 stars because you get very good service from here. Out of all different types of restaurants a buffet out of all has very exceptional service, they would come clean the plates for you, come check in every few minutes, fill drinks up multiple times. If food quality was a little hotter and better I could see this as a top quality place. read more

The prices are reasonable, the fact it is unlimited, but you have to eat it all, you can't take anything home, which makes sense so people don't just take the whole stock. The food is very good, Edanur G, what you on about, I think your brain is on the opposite side of digestive in loving foods, you probably stupid that you probably ate something that you were allergic to, get a brain, your review is as horrible as you for getting food that you ate that you could have been allergic to, you have disrespected the Chinese, Japanese, the Asianhood bruh, and I'm Asian aright, so I'm pissed that you said that. The food is well seasoned, tastes good, high quality. Service is very nice. Clean areas, nice floor, well organization. read more

Grabbed a quick lunch with my brother today! I am very weird about buffets and try to avoid them when I can. My brother is a Chinese buffet connoisseur and has to try every one I guess. He loves a big greasy plate of appetizers too. I want to say something about the amazing service I received here. I never had to ask to get a refill on my drinks. We probably had 4 servers come by and refill without us asking. Everyone was very polite and asked us if we were doing alright and if we needed anything without feeling like we were a burden. The food wasn't bad at all! I was severely disappointed in the sushi selection as it was very small, but very very clean. The whole buffet like was clean and nothing looked out of place. I thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp! Everything else wasn't show stopping. The pork chops actually hit ! They were super tender and nicely sauced!! I wish they had mashed potatoes lol. I'd come again if my brother invites again. Wasn't bad. read more

Three stars is very appropriate for this place. They've been here a long time and everything about the interior of the restaurant shows it, especially the bathrooms. They pretty much shut down about a third of the buffet where the desserts and such used to be all of the food is exactly the same as it has been for years. Sadly this place is no longer as good as it use to be. Went in today with a friend and no matter what dish I tried it was terribly under seasoned and bland. Even my dessert was a still frozen piece of cheesecake. Service was great but it takes more than service to please the public. I hope they step their game back up but it will be a long time before I try their food again. read more

I have been coming here since I can remember with my family. We grew up in the area and this was the go to spot for our family gatherings. Brought Hubby with me today and our experience was horrible. The food was ok. Some of it was warm. I'm not sure if it's from it sitting there too long or the lighting. I had grabbed some wings and was going to get ranch. I was beginning to pour some and it seemed too thick for it to be ranch. I poured it on my plate thinking nothing of it. Maybe it was just me and it was fine. Got to my table and tasted it. It was tartar sauce where it was labeled ranch, which is what I thought I was getting. I asked one of the workers and she grabbed someone from the back to see if they had ranch. She kept insisting that it was ranch, but I was trying to let her know it was tartar sauce and not ranch. She dismissed me and walked off. I went up to the counter and let the manager know that the tartar sauce was under the ranch label and asked if they had ranch. She said yes and walked me over to the tartar sauce. I was obviously not being understood. She just said thanks for the suggestion and walked off. Then when I got to my seat the waiter was rude. She grabbed our plates when we weren't even done eating. A few minutes after she brought the check and started hovering as if she were trying to rush us to pay. I'm not sure if it's new management, but the customer service SUCKS!!! I don't think I'm coming back here again. I don't like being rushed to eat and leave. read more

I hope i don't get sick from eating here tonight. Came around 6:30 for dinner and food was scarce. It's like they didn't cook more food for the dinner crowd? Crawfish were black inside / inedible. Nothing tasted fresh. They do provide gloves for the tongs which was nice. read more

One of my go-to Chinese buffets w/ decent food here despite that the place overall is a bit dirty. They no longer have the spicy crispy shrimp I like whenever I eat here, and now since covid they don't have a lot of desserts anymore and no more fresh made cookies and cotton candy. :( read more

Terrible costumer service! They wanted me to pay for a Buffet when I only wanted a plate to go with literally 5 cheese Rangoon's and a drink! (I don't like anything in the buffet nor Chinese food) I refused!! They said I can buy the to go plate but not allowed to eat it inside the restaurant!!? Seriously?! IM PAYING FOR YOUR FOOD & I CANNOT EAT IT INSIDE??! WOW! Mind you I'm with my sister and mom who payed for a buffet...so I'm sitting here watching them eat! Whenever I visit the parents and they are too lazy to drive far for dinner or don't want to wait this is where we go. It's a default chinese buffet but they people here are nice and the food is consistently good and cheap. I usually get a couple full plates of the special salt crab. This alone makes me happy! read more

Too bad. There has been a sewage smell near/in the restroom area for way too long. They insist on forcing CNN on you. Came on a Sunday and they were consistently putting out fresh, food with good flavors. The variety was modest, but like I said at least most of what I ate was good. I just wished they actually had a dessert section. There was just jello, fruit, and the usual strange little cake that nobody ever touches at a buffet. I was in the mood for a Chinese buffet. However when I asked my waitress for soy sauce, sriracha and chop sticks. She walked around the restaurant and grabbed each item individually and DROPPED them on my table as she walked pass. Never said a damn word. The food is good tho. She's just the reason I won't come back tho. read more

This and the other buffet further up HWY 6 are my absolute favorite places to take the family out. The waitresses here don't get in your way but also do not feel entitled to a tip. They are hard workers and are very sensitive to patron's needs. I just hope it stays this way. Keep up the great work ladies ! read more

This is one of my parents favorite place. The good is good and prices are better. We went this past Monday and I always it the pepper shrimp and maybe sweet and sour chicken. Pretty much the general things you would see at any buffet but they had a lot of great options. I was a bit disappointed they didn't have snow crab legs or oyster. I took my family for mother's day and the waitresses were really nice. They even had a cotton candy machine on spot! It's worth going for lunch maybe not so much for dinner. 12 bucks per adult including a drink. Not so bad for the price and the food was good to. Would come back during lunch. read more

Cafe East 3 Chinese Buffet is an Independently Owned Family Restaurant serving the Mission Bend area. We've been around since 1998 with the first restaurant in Sugar Land, another in Katy, and another in Humble, but have since decided to focus on serving the Mission Bend area the best Chinese Buffet. Cafe East 3 remains owned by the original owners of the business while the other 3 locations have been sold to separate owners. Experiences should be unique to Cafe East 3 Mission Bend.

The plus side (#1) is the abundant parking, practically guaranteed seating, and options that skew on the more authentic side of things. The downside is knowing the limitations that come with affordably priced buffets and quality of food. The official entrance is from the parking lot between Vinh Hoa (#2) and the massage. Plenty of folks will also enter from the back, which is through the Dynasty Plaza mall and takes a bit longer. It then becomes a question of stairs (parking lot) versus an escalator (mall). At $18-24 (lunch to holiday pricing), the prices aren't too steep for AYCE food. Kids 3 and under eat free but are otherwise subject to $13-14 per person. Non-water drinks are $2.39 a person, so definitely get as many refills as possible. The place is as massive on the inside as it looks on the outside. Window side seating offers an elevated view of Chinatown, but don't focus too much on the excessive finger prints along the windows. The seating is so abundant that almost any size group should have zero problem finding space. There is also a large private room that is ideal for special functions, equipped with TVs and a sound system. Food wise, it's a hodgepodge of all food types. The noodle soups are a bit more standard but the options here are the noodle options are wonton noodle, beef noodle, seafood noodle, and beef pho. I wouldn't recommend ordering the latter. Fruits & Salads / Cold Dishes / Seafood: A standard selection of cold fruit salads, which is unsurprisingly the least exciting part of the buffet. I'm impressed with the variety of the sushi on the seafood end, but the presentation and fish quality is extremely mediocre. The Mongolian hibachi grill is also great, beats everything pre-cooked.
