Met up with a colleague late on a Sunday evening before their flight back home. It was quite empty and we were able to immediately order our beignets and coffee. There was plenty of seating and the menu is the same menu as their other locations. Solid spot and can't complain. read more

This is definitely my favorite Cafe Du Monde location! They have a drive through, and the beignets have always been piping hot. Did I mention they take credit/debit cards ? It's a cheap and delicious treat, along with a frozen cafe au lait and your set. read more

If you're going to go to a Cafe Du Monde, this is the location to go. I know, I know, it's not the cafe in the French Quarter, but it is just so much better! This Kenner location is large, clean and not as crowded and annoying as the other location. The beignets are even better and the au lait is delicious! They have a great display of souvenir items to choose from, the staff are friendly and it's just an all in all better place to get a beignet. Go to this one! read more

Why 4 stars? Fried love, powdered love and bad decision...Count me in! This is a staple of NO and something you must have. They are fresh, hot and the perfect little snack or breakfast treat. Multiple locations around, now taking credit/debit and worth the wait if there is a line. read more

You cannot go to New Orleans unless you have tried the food and coffee!!! It's so delicious that it melts in your mouth when you sink your teeth into them. Nice smaller version with great service and so many coffee options. The big one in the French Quarter is hard to find seating and only serves coffee or hot chocolate. This one can make espresso drinks and excellent ones at that. In addition, they selll most of the souvenirs that their other main store sells. One stop shop! Beignets are the same at both locations. Went to both same in two days. Bathrooms are clean and nice without a line. The larger one has a line longer than for a table. I would still recommend going to the French Quarter location for the experience but if you are just looking for great Beignets and a great coffee drink to go with, try thus location! read more

I was actually staying in the area and didn't expect to see this location so close to my hotel. Of course, I had plans to visit the French Quarter location, but as it turned out I didn't get a chance to. I still needed to get my beignet experience so I read the reviews and felt better about coming here. Seems like the only difference between the two places is the atmosphere. After a long day of walking around the humid streets of the French Quarter dodging the rain and people, I'm quite ok with a more quiet chill environment. Eager to get back to the hotel to have dinner and rest, I got my order of beignets to go. Since it was late, I did not get coffee and decided to get some for the trip back home the next day. I watched as they put my pre-made beignets from a holding container into a paper bag and took a scoop of powdered sugar and dumped it into the bag. Initially I was unsure if I wanted to get it to go but after seeing that, I felt like I would've gotten the same quality had I eaten it there instead. The beignets were good but obviously not fresh. The texture was not as fluffy as I had heard so many raves about. I didn't have the desire to stop by again before leaving town even for the coffee. Overall, nice location to enjoy if you're staying by the airport to get your beignet fix. They even have a drive thru for your convenience. There's a nice selection of souvenir mugs, coffee, and beignet mix. I'm sure it's great when you get a fresh batch. I left feeling like I still needed to visit the French Quarter location for a true experience. read more

I absolutely LOVED CAFE DU MONDE the coffee here was exceptional. It was so smooth & bold. They are also know for their beignets which were a great addition to your coffee. It was like eating powdered doughnuts & coffee. I woke up each morning in anticipation of going to this place for coffee & beignet. I got the Cafe Au Lait & Cafe Mocha. Cafe Au Lait reminded me of a cafe latte. They even let you purchase their coffee in K cups or a can to make at home. Would def recommend this place. read more

Of course you have to stop here when in New Orleans. Yes it is filled with tourists and busy throughout the day. Still, one MUST go there when in the area because the beignets are THE BEST!! Warm, doughy and literally smothered in powdered sugar. The coffee is hot and tasty with slight hints of chicory. We went to the original location located next to Jackson square. Lovely area to visit with lots to see. Worth the stop. read more

Say it slowly with me now...."mmmmmmm...beigneeeeeetttssss"....that's what will be going through your head when taking your first bite. Not sure how good this place is compared to the more popular one in the French Quarter but i was willing to "settle" and get some dessert down the road from our hotel. THEY HAVE A DRIVE THRU!! Can't come to NOLA and not have a beignet, especially when you used to live here and you can no longer get easy access to this amazing delicacy that you've grown up with. The menu is simple. You get an order of beignets which is a plate of 3 French donuts with powdered sugar and an order of Cafe au Lait. It's good for a snack or dessert or just whenever you feel like it. My only complain is that at this location, the beignets aren't as fluffy and hollow as I remember it being. Maybe it's just this location. Anyway, at least it is close to the suburbs and it has a drive through window. read more

Great place, with great people and extraordinary service! The beignets are phenomenal and the coffee is even better. I got a kick out of the guy making the beignets before my eyes as it seemed like he was slinging them into the grease pit. They sell the beignet mix and the coffee to go and it's extremely to make at home on your own. read more

This is a must whenever in New Orleans. Don't let long lines worry you, because the lines move quickly. The beignets and coffee are consistently great. Just know ahead of time that you will walk out with powdered sugar on at least one part of your clothing. Its soooooo worth it though. read more

We came here this morning to get beignets that are "flat". No one else really knows how to make them, but we like them because they are crispy! I was super hyped to try beignets especially after seeing a YouTube video that said the experience was "heavenly". There was no flavor to this fried dough, not even a slight doughnut flavor . The texture of a sopapilla without the flavor. read more

If your need is for a quick grab & go of coffee and beignets, then this location of Cafe Du Monde is for you. Located just 2 blocks north of I 10 on the outskirts of New Orleans, at this location you can hit it and quit it - and get back on the road. Their drive thru was quick, friendly and convenient. read more

Located on Williams BLVD, between I-10 and the lake, on the west side of the road, this is a great spot to stop for those last minute gifts before flying out of NOLA. I came one weekday to meet a friend for coffee before they left town and I went to the gym. Walking in, there were only the employees, 2 chatting and 1 on his phone. My friend and I placed our order, and sat down. Inside is large, plenty of seating. The beignets were just as expected as was the café au lait. The interior was neat and fairly clean. This location does have a drive thru, which is convenient. The staff got busy cleaning while my friend and I were here. There is a small-ish parking lot in front and one in the rear. I would come back if meeting a friend in the area. read more

*NM DONUT KWEEN ADVENTURES* #48 for 2019 I dropped by the Kenner location of Cafe Du Monde for 3 reasons... 1. It was steps away from my Kenner hotel 2. I knew I couldn't get to the original French Quarter location until the following day 3. I needed a BEIGNET in my life urgently! I was super excited to walk in and see the hustle & bustle going on around me. I didnt care that the line looked a mile long. In reality there were about 15 people in front of me. Not so bad.... i was willing to wait it out for just one bite of deliciousness. While in line i scoped out the place. I loved seeing all the bright colored mugs for sale along with the Cafe Du Monde coffee and beignet mix. *Note to self: buy beignet mix at Original Location*. There were tables filled with grown ups and kiddos enjoying their fresh made fluffy puffs of yumminess! Lucky for me the line sped on by and before I knew it... it was my turn! 2 orders of beignets to go and 1 order to eat immediately and a large cafe au lait. Oohhh i couldn't wait to take a bite! Ya'all know i don't like coffee but how could I break up a match made in heaven! Cafe au Lait & Beignets!!!!! I took a seat, snapped some shots and then bit into this beautiful creation! It was just as delicious as the first time id had Cafe Du Monde in 2000 and again in 2011. Yummy!!! Happy Servers! Perfect Service! Good coffee!! Beautifully made Beignets! My family was looking forward to stopping here as soon as we decided to go to New Orleans. The restaurant looks nice on the outside and has adequate parking. However, when we entered the restaurant all of us noticed that it looked dirty. The person who took our order was not friendly or attentive. Some of the frozen coffee and hot chocolate come from one of those machines like they have in the French Quarter for daiquiris. We sat down at a table that didn't look like it's been cleaned for days but they all looked that way. We ordered 2 orders of beignets. They were cold and very dense. They weren't that sweet and didn't have a lot of flavor. I don't know whether we visited on an off day or are just picky but I wouldn't return. read more

Well this place has went to crap!!!! The frozen coffee and beignets were the only good part. The service was TERRIBLE. The workers all had headphones in and were not paying attention. The guy who took our order was talking on the phone through his headphones and got our order all wrong. Good thing the manager was kind of nice and came fix it but she should have this situation handled better. One guy was nice and was trying to help but you could tell was new. They were all talking about "dipping" our early.. this place is a joke! read more

After landing at 11am (up since 4am) we took a 10 minute Uber ride to this Cafe Du Monde as our first stop in New Orleans (and first meal of the day). There was only one other couple in the shop. We were able to order our two servings of beignets with no wait and they had them out fresh for us within 5 minutes. There is a lot of seating. We assumed it must be busy in the morning but at 11:30 it was dead. They have free WiFi which gave us the opportunity to plan our next steps. The only downside about this location was that everything was sticky and covered in powdered sugar (tables, floors, chairs). That's probably an issue at all of their locations though. Later on in the trip we walked by the Cafe Du Monde in the French Quarter and it was completely packed. If you just want to try the beignets and don't care about the setting the location we went to was a good choice. read more
