Grilled ham and cheese with an iced americano
    Brennan H.

Came here as some friends suggested it. It's a small shop with an area across to eat at. I was able to order quickly and food took about 10 min to come out. I ordered the grilled ham and cheese on sourdough. It comes with chips and tomato soup. The grilled ham and cheese was pretty standard and came with a side of mayo and tiny pickle slices. I enjoyed it. The tomato soup was flavorful and had some pasta inside it, which was a nice surprise. The meal also came with a bag of chips which was a nice touch. A full meal for $15! I ordered an iced americano and it was smooth. The coffee was good. I'll be back the next time i'm looking for some caffeine or a quick bite for lunch!

I have come to Cafe Daisy a few times this past year. Overall pretty quick service, the drinks taste good, but food leaves something to be desired. A little costly for what you get but you are also paying for the atmosphere, which is mostly the building not the cafe itself. Decided to finally write a review as my latest experience was very underwhelming and likely my last visit since there are so many options downtown. The prices on the board do not match what you pay, I never noticed this before as I often don't take a receipt and just tap. Due to sensitive teeth and excess condensation leaving a mess I always do less ice. Places sometimes charge fees for less ice due to using more product or time to prepare. The "less ice" extremely nominal and the little excess product is not worth 52 cents, nor was there signage or did they verbally say anything when requested. I have no idea if they have always charged me this. Transparency is important to me. Yes it's my fault for not watching the register tally, or always requesting a receipt and reviewing, but good customer service includes informing people of extra charges and charging people what you advertise.

Parking lot via Adams Ln, under Finance Factors Ctr. I don't know what the cost is w/ validation, the staff at the Cafe didn't know on Sun.

Nice staff, nice seating area, a/c, fast WiFi, no outlets (from what I can see). A bit expensive food but good quality. Parking via underground via Adams Lane, they provide validation. $1/hour with a maximum of 2 hours.

I go out of my way to drive into town for this. Located in the Residences apartment at Bishops, just buzz in and the security will gladly direct you to the cafe. Good drinks and food. It's never busy, no line when I go (after morning rush). There's plenty of seating and low lighting and not an oversaturated coffee shop, making it the perfect place for study sessions or coffee dates. I appreciate the jazz music-- it's relaxing but mentally stimulating at the same time.

Cafe Daisy is such a cozy spot! The food is really good--simple but flavorful, and it always feels fresh. What I love most is that it's a comfortable place to hang out; they have good Wi-Fi, so it's perfect if you want to study, get some work done, or just chill with coffee. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, definitely one of those cafés you can stay at for hours.

Egg salad croissant with a side of tomato soup with mozzarella: 4/5 stars

A cute little cafe tucked away and hidden in a residential building in the middle of downtown. I was recommended Cafe Daisy by my coworker who also likes to come here for their drinks and sandwiches. I've been here twice, months apart since I don't get sent to work in downtown often. Overall it's a cheaper alternative and (from what I've noticed) one of the only cafes with a clean sitting/eating/studying area in the business district. I tried the chicken salad sandwich which was very unique considering the surrounding food vendors. I loved the light, but filling sandwich. The toasted bread adds a great crunchy texture to the salad; 10/10 recommend. Most recently, I tried their egg salad croissant and the tomato soup. I wanted to try the egg salad, but since it was cold I wanted something warm. The egg salad was okay, needed more pepper and seasoning, but I appreciated the generous helping and the price for it was fair. The tomato soup left me wanting more. Maybe it's because I didn't get a grilled cheese to go with it but I decided to just take some bites of the soup with the mozzarella topping and save the rest for my husband. Employees are nice and the little sitting area is a great break from the downtown Honolulu surroundings. Nothing too extravagant, just simple. I would definitely come back for the chicken salad sandwich, but not the tomato soup.

Tomato soup and grilled cheese combo. Dirty Pumpkin Chai and Pumpkin Cold Brew are 10/10 would order again.

Great cafe located inside Bishop building. Tried the dirty pumpkin chai and pumpkin cold brew, both 10/10. The grilled cheese and tomato soup combo were excellent as well.

Enter this building. Security will buzz the door open for you.

Breakfast in Downtown Honolulu, Hawaii... This is an honest, "new" (one year old?), small business that really deserves recognition... My friend and I were going to go hiking today, but there are flood warnings and heavy rains for our island of O'ahu right now. She asked me what I wanted to do instead of hiking... and I replied, "I would like to use my free parking pass and go to Cafe Daisy!" She laughed because she knows I HATE to pay for parking. She answered, "I want a REAL breakfast..." I tried to search for another place. She then stated, "I know that you really want to use your parking pass... We can go to Cafe Daisy". Yay!!! I attempted to dine at Cafe Daisy yesterday, Sunday, when metered street parking is free. However, when I finally found the cafe, it was closed - because it was the last Sunday of the month! Whaaaat? The resident manager saw my face. I must have looked like I was ready to cry... Because she offered me a free parking pass to return on a weekday. Thank you!!! LOCATION: on the ground level of The Residences at Bishop Place - a condominium building. This is a building is next to Union Plaza, and behind Leo's Taverna. The security guard will buzz you in if you enter from the front door. If you park in the building, you'll enter through the parking structure elevator. Go to "Lobby" level (not Lounge Level). PARKING: free metered street parking on Sundays and holidays - however, the menu is limited on weekends and they're closed on holidays. If I didn't have the parking pass, I would have had to pay $26.25 without validation. Uhg! SERVICE: excellent! The cashier was so sweet (she brought our food items to us) and one of the owners (there's three of them) was very efficient and helpful! ENVIRONMENT: very clean, bright, and spacious. There were three large enclosed, air conditioned seating areas to choose from: 1. Front lobby by the security/reception area 2. Right across the hallway from the cafe 3. At the back door, between Aloha Sushi and a common work place If you need the convenient restroom, ask security to unlock the door for you. FOOD: I ordered the Breakfast Combo and chose the Everything Bagel Breakfast Sandwich. It came with a coffee (they added a splash of Oat Milk and gave me two packets of Splenda). It was delicious! The bagel was fresh and soft! My friend ordered the Ham and Cheese Grilled sandwich with avocado - I wished that I took a photo of it, but I want my own next time. She kept offering me part of her sandwich - which came with small containers of flavored mayo sauce and some relish. She ended up consuming everything because it was so good!!! Wow! We got a stamp card for our coffee drinks. I decided I wanted another coffee with latte art, so, I ordered a Haupia (coconut dessert) Latte - their most popular drink. The latte art was so cute... And the latte tasted great! If parking was better, I'd return more often. Maybe I can park for free farther away and walk over... Haha! Someday...

Very clean ambiance with super helpful and friendly staff and a very expansive menu. More foods and drinks to choose from than the Aloha Tower location. Both locations are spectacular and better than Starbucks in many ways! We moved closeby so will be here almost weekly on weekends. :))))

The coffee is nice and hot brewed, the employees are very friendly and the location itself provides a comfortable seating area for customers during the cafe hours of operation! I highly recommend this place for coffee and breakfast!

    Raspberry mocha

I love coffee shops. I'm an early riser so I would visit local cafes for some coffee and breakfast. Cafe Daisy is located in downtown bishop street. The cafe is inside the building across from Subway. The cafe was clean and spacious. There were a few tables, chairs, and long seatings along the walls. Cafe latte: I got a small basic cafe latte. It was strong and bitter than what I preferred. I requested for extra milk to be added on the side but it was forgotten. I had to add in my own milk at home and it was very good. Raspberry mocha: I remember trying this mocha flavor in Japan and I absolutely loved it. I ordered this drink hot and the raspberry flavor was there. It's was fragrant and delicious. Again, it was a little bitter than what I would like but with more milk, it was perfect. Croffle: The croffle is a croissant shaped as a waffle. I ordered mines with honey. The croffle was flaky and warm. I love the big scoop of vanilla ice cream on top as well as the whipped cream. It was absolutely delicious. I do love honey as my topping but I would definitely try there other toppings as well. Overall, a very nice cafe place. It is located in downtown so parking is a bit of an inconvenience. It would be great if we can modify our drinks such as adding more milk or sweetener for our coffees. They also have very unique and aesthetic looking drinks per their IG and Tiktok posts.

Try the Haupia Latte or one of the Croffles. Cafe Daisy even has freshly juiced fruit and veg. for something lighter. Great food and people!

I'm here a lot for work for the past few years but have been coming to the islands for many years…read more I've been a true loyalist to Island Vintage for at least 11yrs at this location. Over the years I've noticed the staff has become so much nicer and welcoming which is what I think of when I think of the Aloha spirit. Today I encountered a simple smile from the barista when I asked for extra half and half. She was very kind and sweet and sometimes that's all it takes. Keep in mind they are extremely busy with a line outside so to still offer good customer service in the middle of all that is gold. I always put my order in through the toast app and pick up to go. By the time my drink is ready my açaí bowl is melted. Today I decided to bring it up to the staff and encountered my lovely Lucille. She took my açaí bowl and put it in her freezer and gave me direction to put a note on my order to not prep the açaí bowl till I get there. That was very helpful! I'm happy not to have açaí soup anymore! Haha! But the best thing about it, she did it with a smile and it was genuine. You know when you just feel someone has a good soul..yeah, I felt that. Her demeanor was no different than how a family member would treat you. When she handed my açaí bowl back, she placed a napkin underneath it so the warmth of my hand wouldn't melt the bowl further...and the cherry on top was that I literally had the absolute BEST açaí bowl I've ever had made by Lucille. No joke! Sometimes there is too much granola, or too little fruit, but she made it with the perfect balance with each ingredient. She spoiled me and now I always want my açaí bowls to be made by Lucille! Lmao. I've been going through some tough times and I hope she knows (along with the taller young barista who offered me the half and half) that they both made my day a little brighter. See you in a couple days when I'm back! lol I swear I spend all my money every month at Island Vintage! The best of the best! I wish I took a photo of her beautiful creation but I got it down way too quick! :( Order the açaí bowl with Haupia cream and the Mona Kea iced coffee with macadamia nut, salted caramel and lava salt. You won't regret it! And you won't have to wait in line if you order from the toast local app if getting it to go! You're welcome:)

The line moved relatively quickly even on weekend though, so don't let it hinder you from trying. We got their iconic Black Sesame Kouign Amann and loved it too much. Impeccably flaky and buttery pastry base with flawless caramelized bottom. The black sesame paste also came in just right dose and sweetness. I wasn't a fan of black sesame but I would rave over this pastry!! We did have their Pineapple Almond Croissant, which was decent but if you had to prioritize, doubtlessly go for kouign amann. The Chocolate Chip cookie was okay to skip IMHO. We came back again another day for their pistachio and chocolate ones and they were just as mindblowing! If you loved milk coffee, I would recommend their latte as the cold brew could be tad acidic even with added milk. I got their Cold Brew with soy milk first time then Vanilla Latte the second time, and certainly loved the latter better. They did have some indoor and outdoor sit-down spaces but they're constantly occupied so you might need to wait awhile to get one.
