    Fish and grits
    Tim V.

A nice little cafe. Order at the counter and they bring to the table. Breakfast options all day. My wife and I had the fried flounder and grits. You get two generous pieces of fish that are perfectly battered and fried. Grits are cooked properly and sprinkled with shredded cheddar cheese. Two people working are very friendly. Definitely recommend when in the area. It was worth driving forty minutes for us. And we will be back.

I have been to this plaza several times and never noticed this restaurant. The location was clean and the service was good. The teriyaki vegetable bowl with salmon was delicious despite the rice being over cooked. I will definitely return.

I came here for brunch at 11:05am and unfortunately it was closed even though the sign inside said it opens at 11am and the website reflects the same. That was very disappointing as I had a limited break to eat as this was a work day for me. Not sure I'll make the effort again.

I had the shrimp and grits which were delicious but needed a little something...maybe grilled sausage or bacon added would make it a solid 10 out of 10. Without the added sausage or bacon I would give it an 8.7 out of 10. I also got the fried flounder. The two filets were well seasoned and fried perfectly. They were a solid 10. The customer service was great. Only one person working. She was setting up, taking orders, and cooking. She did is flawlessly. The place could use a little more decor. I will be back.

The food at this restaurant was truly delicious. Everything was hot, fresh, and extremely flavorful. The fish was something I would definitely return for because there's truly nothing like a good piece of friend fish. The service however is what brings my rating down. It was difficult to figure out if we needed to stand and wait for a table or go to the counter to order. In this restaurant you have the luxury of seeing your food be made but it was extremely hot with the doors open and there was no music or anything playing. Overall the food was solid but I'll probably be taking my food to go in the future.

This place was sooooo good! It's a low key spot to go and have a good fun! There was music playing in the back but low enjoy where you can have a conversation but still enjoy the music. I ordered the shrimp and grits For $40 you get a bottle or champagne, 4 different syrup favors to create a mimosa with fruit on the side

Cafe Blue in Austell is perfection served by a great owner. Rogina I am praying the best for you!

Let's start with the ambiance: it is a casual spot that is very clean but not fancy. The service was exceptional! You walk to the register to place your order and if you have ANY questions Rogina will take care of you. The pictures of the menu items perfectly depicted the plate or bowl of food placed before you! And the taste...WOW!!! Being a fish snob I was hesitant to order it so I got the Veggie Teriyaki. It was phenomenal served over yellow rice. The veggies were fresh and cook to perfection. My husband on the other hand (not as much a fish snob as myself) got the Flounder with a side of Shrimp Grits! Let's just break this down. Husband is an Ohio boy so grits are not his thing. HOWEVER if this had been his first place to try cheesy grits He'd been a fan from that point on! These cheesy grits were so creamy with just a perfect bite in the grit. Not mushy nor sticky but perfectly blended!! Then you pair that with the most scrumptious bite of perfectly fried flounder!! Did I say PERFECT!!! Oh baby it was!! Very fresh, perfectly blended fish taste! The breading on it with that cornmeal and fried perfectly was the absolute best bite of fried flounder that this Southern Girl FISH SNOB has EVER put in my mouth. Good thing my husband got 2 pieces. I may or may not have eaten half his founder order! If you have not been here you are missing OUT!!! If I could have given Cafe Blue a TEN STAR rating I would have gone with TWENTY!!!

Blue My girlfriend had driven past this restaurant a few times so when picking our Saturday lunch spot, she decided we should give it a try. It's a very nice location. The inside gives a very dim, soothing ambiance. Low lighting with candles and smooth jazz/classic R&B. It gives off a family owned type of vibe as well. It's self seating and the menus are at the table. Our server was a young lady who was super sweet and was spot on with her recommendation of the sweet tea. I ordered the fish sandwich with the fries. The sandwich was good however a bit on the small side. It appeared to be a whiting filet and was a small filet. Based on the size of the bread, I would have anticipated that if the filet was going to be that small there would be 2 of them. The fixings were fresh and the bun was toasted just right with the toasty edge and soft center. The fries were crinkle cut which are my favorite style. They were fried perfect and came unseasoned. This is ideal for a person who likes to add their own seasonings. Overall it was a good meal and I enjoyed it. I would stop by again when in the area and looking to grab a bite. I literally stumbled upon this place by typing in 'food near me'. I live off the East West Connector and was looking for some good food. Based on the reviews I figured the food would be pretty good. The restaurant is in a shopping plaza behind Discount Tires on the East Connector. If you are traveling East it will be on the left hand side before Walmart. I ordered the shrimp and grits and the dish was pretty tasty. The flavor was perfect for me and the grits were extremely creamy. I didn't think the sauce was too rich. In essence, the flavor was perfect. I went by at 4pm so I was the only person in the restaurant. There are 8 tables and your order food from the counter. The restaurant is small and quaint but clean. The owner was friendly and prepared my meal quickly so the wait was not long. Cleanliness - 9 Ambience - 8 Customer Service - 10 Food - 9 Music was playing quite loud and I wasn't a fan but to each his own. I have decided that I will definitely visit this restaurant again. If you are in the Austell/Mableton/Power Springs/Marietta area, you should stop by and try it out. The restaurant is black owned, so please support.

This place is definitely a hidden gem, I took myself to brunch on 03/04/2023. I loved that it wasn't too busy, my food came out piping hot and it took no time at all. You honestly can't beat $20 mimosas flights which left me feeling great! I will be back soon to try the fried fish

This is a pretty quiet spot just a couple of doors down from my dry cleaners, and I stopped in today to have a late lunch. It is black-owned and -operated, and they serve breakfast all day long! I was immediately in love when I saw that. They have a diverse menu, and you have to be patient because they have a small staff and everything is cooked to-order. I ordered the "Blue Plate," which consists of White Toast, Sausage links, and Scrambled Eggs. I added on a side of grits, which were rich, delicious, and creamy. This food is excellent, and always has the taste of good home cooking. Stop in one afternoon and give them a shot. You will NOT be disappointed.

Preferably soon, and without leaving the room. Enter Meet Bowl, discovered on Yelp. Korean, decent ratings, and most importantly... delivery. Ordering through their website was easy and the food arrived surprisingly fast, which immediately lowered my blood pressure. We ordered a teriyaki chicken bowl and the beef MeatBowl. Portions were generous, especially the protein. One came over steamed-fried rice, the other over noodles, and both were flavorful and satisfying without feeling heavy. Thanks to them I managed to practice yoga, eat a proper meal, and still show up to my client session as a functioning human being instead of a travel zombie. But after I visited home and my mom made me her version of a Honey Baked Ham sandwich, I found myself craving one once I got back to ATL. As I was next door at Walmart picking up a tree, I figured I'd head over and pick up a sandwich myself. I'm glad I did! This is really a great location set in a quiet portion of a plaza that also houses Walmart, Dollar Tree and other retail shops in adjoining lots. There are only 2 or 3 other businesses neighboring the store, but a bunch of great parking right outside. The shop was incredibly clean and well-stocked with their branded condiments, side dishes, desserts and of course, hams! I visited on a Saturday afternoon and was surprised that there were about three other parties already seated inside. There seemed to be only one employee working the front, which I totally understand as someone who used to work at a similar establishment. Turns out that the gentleman behind the counter was a supervisor and I could really tell by how he was turning out those meals! He was very patient and efficient, I didn't mind that it wasn't "fast food", I could tell that he was prepping each order with care. I waited about 10+ minutes for my meal as the other parties received theirs, and took that time to scroll on my phone and check out the options in the store until my to-go order was packed and ready. I opted for the Honeybaked Sandwich which includes ham, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, crispy onions, honey mustard and honey glaze on ciabatta bread. I also went with their broccoli bacon bliss side and a snickerdoodle cookie. The cookie was so soft and delicious, I wish I had grabbed more than one! The broccoli bacon bliss was HBH's take on a broccoli salad (which I love) and it was delicious, it had a bit more tang than I expected, but it was a perfect pairing. My sandwich was also delicious although the sauce made it soggier than I hoped, I didn't leave a crumb so obviously it didn't bother me too much lol. Next time I'll ask for a little less sauce and maybe just a bit more ham. A tasty experience!
