First of all, this is the best lemonade I have ever had. When I was a child, my mom had us roll lemons so she could make it fresh. When I come to JJ, I am drinking my mom's home made lemonade. I went for the catfish but there were so many options that I went for a combo. I had 3 pieces of perch and 3 wings. The last time I had perch, my mom cooked it. She is no longer around. So I dont get to tell her that this fish is even better than hers. Seasoned to perfection and sprinkled with some special seasoning that is obviously mixed with crack where my mom's was just seasoned with love. LOL I tried the chocolate cake. It was too dry for me. This location is not the best JJs to visit, despite proximity. Last May, for a birthday party my mom ordered two trays of perch and we received two trays of whitening. Once we called about the indecent they mentioned that they gave out perch as requested. Now whitening is very distinctive in appearance and taste. Yesterday 3/1/26, my boyfriend brought home JJs the order was a catfish dinner and a trout dinner. We received a catfish dinner but and a whitening dinner, NO TROUT. Let's go!! The portions are huge and are shareable. The fish was fried to perfection. When your order is ready they show you it. I think it's to see your response to the amazing deliciousness they have put together. While waiting I saw other customers orders. The shrimp were huge and made me want to order it. Well, okay then JJ. I can see why people were running in and out of here with bags of food. The main area is an open space with the order counter and a few chairs and table to sit while you wait. Good luck with a seat because they were crowded. There is a small area around the corner and side if you want to dine in, but most people order to go. One lady had a large covered foil pan of something that I wanted to know what was in there so badly, but I didn't ask. She looked happy with her bounty as she walked out the door. The other people looked like regulars, so I was eagerly anticipating what I should order and how it would taste. I decided to stop in for a taste of fish. I was hoping they had something more than just catfish or tilapia which are two types of fish I typically avoid. JJ actually had a variety of fish from Red snapper to Flounder and they also have scallops, shrimp, oysters, crab, and I think lobster on their menu as well. The prices are extremely affordable and they give you a nice portion for the money. When I walked inside, there were people lined up along the wall either waiting for their order or waiting to order. The service was quick and friendly. The food is made fresh to order. I ordered the whiting and scallops combo that came with fries. There were five large scallops that were lightly fried and the meat was tender and not overcooked that will cause a rubbery texture, but not at JJ's. The fish was fried hard and d crispy and they had at least four large pieces in there. I was pleasantly surprised. I will be back when I have a taste for seafood and I want it fast. read more

So I have lived in Atlanta for over a decade yet I have never tried JJ Fish. The locations are pretty far from me. So I happened to pass this location while handling business in Marietta! Plenty of free parking. I just had to try it on my way home. I ordered the Perch dinner, fried Okra and wings dinner! Customer service was good.. no issues! There's a condiment table so please Don't pay for extra sauce. It's literally on the table lol. So my drive home was about 35 minutes. I was already prepared to reheat my food once I got in the house! I was pleasantly surprised that my food was still warm enough to eat. Why was the fried Perch so damn good then to add that sauce smh! I usually eat fried Fish when I go back home to visit as there's no places like this in my neighborhood! They have a piece of white bread buried under the fish but I didn't need it as I devoured it too fast lol. I don't even mess with Okra but even that was good. The wings were so good too. Perfectly seasoned. My family loved it all was well. You get a lot for your money and it's good! Perfect combination. Now just consider opening a location in North Fulton or Gwinnett and my life would be easier lol. read more
