I love the newly located outside table area. The large plants provide a cozy setting and hide the view of the parking lot. Had the Southwest Chicken Linguine tonight and it was excellent. The food is pricey, but quality is very good. Their chicken salad with the maple dressing is always good. I love Barron's because they understand the desire to linger over a meal and visit. Went into the new Cafe Barron's this afternoon. We were browsing in the store and one of the sales associates asked if we had been in the new cafe. She suggested we have coffee. We go to the hostess stand where the owner - Jim - was visiting with a couple of ladies having coffee. There were three people behind the bar. One was the co-owner. No one looked up. The owner never acknowledged us. In fact, he walked right passed us without as much as a nod. I guess there regular customers will keep them in business. Oh, and there were only two customers in the cafe at that time of day so "busy" would not be the issue. And don't you believe the owner should have at least said "hello". read more

Visited Cafe Barron's Wednesday night with my date. We ordered the cheese tray as an appetizer and both ordered pomegranate Salmon as entr'ees. Outstanding!! Staff was knowledgeable and attentive. Great atmosphere. I will return. read more

We called last minute for a Christmas party for the next evening. They happily fit our party of ten in. We were looking for a place that wasn't to loud and had good food. Place looked top notch. Service was friendly and attentive. We had the Hot and Crunchy Shrimp and the Hummus as appetizers. Everyone loved them. We fought over the last shrimp. :) I had the 12 oz. Prime Rib. Not sure why they said 12 oz., but it looked much bigger. It was super tender and the potato cakes were great. The Tomato Basil Soup was great, especially with the bread, and the women had the Hot and Crunchy Chicken. They couldn't say enough good things about it and shared what was left with the table. Everyone agreed that it was delicious. I had a couple Moscow Mules and loved 'em. I highly recommend Cafe Barron's for a party or just a great evening with friends. My only complaint was the store closed at 7. The ladies in the group wanted to walk the store and shop after dinner, especially after looking though the glass. read more

Great place for date. Wine service needs alot of help. I ordered bottle of wine and never once did host, server or any staff refill our glasses. She lost the 25% I give for top wine service. Ordered Veal Piccata NOT MARSALA over priced. Sauce was brown with mushrooms and capers? Not sure if Chef or Cook wasn't sure the difference so did both. It was edible. Date had pasta dish. Huge portion great flavor and price great. Pictures did not show table cloths and no reservations needed, however I emailed adv of time for two and flowers would be arriving. Just when i updated to 5 stars, I'm having to bump it back down to two. Came here 6/23 for dinner. Took a while for our waitress to be with us, but not a big deal. Husband and I started with delicious salads and enjoyed the complimentary bread. My husband ordered the special-a fajita burger that was seriously mouthwatering with a side of truffle fries. He definitely ordered right! I decided to try something new and went with the lemon basil salmon. This simply was not good. I ate the tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and squash. I could not eat the salmon nor the Yukon potatoes. The salmon was extraordinarily bland, and had a burned aftertaste. The Yukon potatoes were rock solid. I normally hate wasting food, but this wasn't worth eating. Essentially paid $21 for some vegetables. Our waitress came by and saw me eating my husbands burger, as he was kind enough to share. The waitress offered to box my uneaten salmon and I declined. Would think she would have noticed a full plate going back to the kitchen, but alas, she did not. She was nice at least, but not very assertive. We didn't see anyone else working the floor or I might have mentioned it. Bummed we spent a pricier date night on one good and one subpar meal, but I guess it is what it is. read more
