I went to Cafe Auburndale and it was absolutely delicious. The space is pretty large with a beautiful seating area, and they have a wide variety on their menu. I got a dulce de leche hot latte and a Biscoff cookie butter hot latte, and both were amazing. The coffee was delicious and they do such a beautiful design on top. Honestly, it was stunning. I really enjoyed my visit and will definitely be going back.
Love that it's a cafe and dessert spot, which means you can come here to do work, have coffee and or pastry during the day and at night you came here for dessert post dinner. Plenty of seating and great lighting for The bingsu here is nice and milky. The scoop of ice cream is light and creamy. While the mangoes were sweet, it was probably over ripen from the darkening color. It's a nice treat for those of you with a sweet tooth.
This cafe is the best, perfect dessert spot. I adored it as soon as I stepped in. Bright, good amount of seating and has a variety on their menu ranging from coffee to dessert. We grabbed the cute window spot in the front that offered perfect lighting and ambiance to our dessert after lunch nearby. Ordered a matcha soft serve and plain croffle with vanilla ice cream. It took a little bit but they give you a little buzzer so you know when your order is ready. The matcha soft serve was good but better to because I was nearly matcha'd out by the time I was done. My favorite was the croffle because it was literally the best croffle I've had and I have tried many. The size was giant. The drizzle and ice cream with all the other things added on top of it sealed the deal. Every bite was heaven. Can you sense that I really enjoyed it? Prices can be steep, as with everything else in this economy. Two desserts racked up $26. Ouch. But if you're looking for a cute, cozy and modern cafe spot, this is it.
Came here with friends for dessert after kbbq. Ordered the matcha bingsu and mango bingsu. This was a perfect refreshing/light dessert after a long hot day. The mango was our favorite. My only gripe would be that if you order matcha and mango, to have the matcha first. Otherwise, it will taste bland with the mango binsu. Both are still so good and highly recommend. This will definitely be my go to spot for bingsu.
Love this cafe, probably my third time here. They have unique drink flavors that are actually GOOD!!!!! I believe they are korean inspired, I cant wait to try everything on the menu. The bingsu is always a hit, and every flavor latte I've tried is delicious & magical. I've tried the sweet potato latte, cold brew einspanner (summer special?), and genmaicha latte. LOVED ALL OF THEM. SO FUN AND TASTY, the flavors actually work well with each other. Whenever I come I have no problem finding seating, even if I have to wait around for 5 mins. This area is easy to park if you are driving. The music is on the louder side but the cafe is spacious for working / studying. There are a couple tables with access to outlets & wifi works well here. Perfect WFH spot.
Cute and bright spot to hang out with friends. Not the biggest fan of bingsu myself--feels like it's loaded with calories--but my friends shared the mango one and seemed to enjoy it. I do wish they'd tone down the cream a bit. I ordered the rose hibiscus tea, but it was too bland and lacked any real tea flavor. The decor is cozy and inviting, and the service was fast and friendly. I'd love to see the menu expanded with more savory snack options and a wider variety of boba drinks.
Came a few weeks back but really enjoyed everything here! The space itself is very big with seating all along the shop and in the back - I definitely see people spending a half day here or more as they have all the food, drinks and dessert you can possibly want and need. We ordered drinks and dessert while waiting for a table which we were able to get as our orders were being made. I got the strawberry matcha latte and we shared two bingsus. For the bingus, they also offer little cups for sharing purposes which was a nice touch! My matcha drink was a tad sweet but still thoroughly enjoyed it. We got the strawberry bingu and the milk bingu. Both were super delicious and refreshing. Overall, everything was good and would come back again!
Passed by for a late dessert run but I just missed the cut off for the waffle and croffles...last order is at 10:00pm. However, there were plenty of other dessert options available such as bingsoo, soft serve ice cream , red velvet muffins, mini tiramisu cakes, lava cake, and cheesecake just to name a few. This cozy cafe spot features Korean-American style desserts. There are two areas for dine in seating. High tops, cafe tables or the back room that has a huge communal style long table or single bar stool seating. Opens early (8:30am) and opens late (until 11pm). This is my kind of place - rare find to have such long hours on any given day. This explains why there's always people - a great drink menu and so many desserts!! I'll return for the waffles but I didn't really care for the mini tiramisu cake. It featured a very light cream and not heavy for a dessert but not memorable either. The other desserts are probably more popular, the bingsoo and DIY acai bowls. And a featured lava cake. This was my first visit so I'll know for next time to swing by earlier. I did order a Golden Latte - Turmeric, ginger, cinnamon and almond milk. That warmed me right up. It definitely was heavy on the turmeric. I'm a fan.
I love this cafe!! The matcha bingsoo was so delicious - not too sweet with creamy shaved ice, red bean, mochi, and matcha ice cream. It's perfect to share with 2-3 people. The einspanner cream latte was creamy and slightly bitter, just what I wanted from a latte. They have so many seats, although it does get crowded. There is a bathroom and wifi, so it's the perfect cafe to study at.
Very aesthetic café. It's really spacious too and has an outdoor space in the back. Classic café food/ desserts with bingsu that is a decent portion size, definitely enough for 3 people. Unique drinks that are colorful. Prices are not the most ideal, but expected for this type of café. read more

This is probably one of the best bingsoo's I've had in NYC. The matcha was super creamy and a great portion to share! We shared it between 2 people but I think 3 would be perfect since we had leftovers. We subbed the red bean for some chopped up Oreos, which was super yum. When we visited, the place was pretty busy, but the bingsoo was ready relatively quick. The cafe was clean and had a lot of seating available. The only con was the staff being standoffish, and somewhat clueless when asking questions, but it's not a big deal since the interaction is brief. Overall, I'll be back again! read more

The kids asked for shaved ice. Searching on Yelp, I found Cafe Auburndale. Instead of shaved ice, they had .... Shaved Ice cream?! Ambience: a very bright modern cafe, with some wood animal puzzle type decorations. They have electrical outlets at many of the tables, so you can recharge your gadgets. Food: the shaved ice cream (bingsoo) was a hit with the kids. The texture is lighter than regular ice cream, with a fluffy airy texture. This allows for visually large bowls of ice cream that are actually lighter than 2 scoops at BR31 Service: order at the counter and pick up when they call you. TL/DR: Shaved Ice cream is great as it is smooth, yet lighter than regular ice cream. At $15 a bowl, it's not necessarily my go to place for a quick ice cream fix. read more

Bright ambiance. Huge menu including bingsoo, coffee, tea, croffles and more. Fast service. Lots of seating. This would be a great place to study at. They have lots of outlets and even wall hooks for jackets. We got the cookie butter croffle, mango bingsoo, and rose flower tea which were all amazing. Croffle was warm and crispy and paired so well with the cookie butter and vanilla icecream. The bingsoo was milky, fluffy, and fruity. The rose flower tea was refreshing with a perfect sweetness. One of my favorite cafe finds. Would love to come back soon! read more

Boy and I always come here for that refreshing mango or matcha bingsoo. One thing for sure is that their portion size is quite generous, one bowl is good for two. They make it light and sweet, creamy on the bottom. The only downside is that if the line is long, you may have to wait for some time. There is a good amount of seating space as well. read more
If you drive the stretch of Northern Blvd you will notice there is an over abundance of cafes and dessert places, which is a sign of changing demographics and a long way from when Oasis Cafe was the dominant sweet spot in the area. Each place has their own style and specialties so what makes Cafe Auburndale stand apart? To start, I love the aesthetic. All very light, bright and modern where it may not make for a necessarily romantic setting - it feels very clean and inviting. I am a fan of the lighting and if you notice the built in wall boxes have clear, under-lit bottoms to feature various objects of art. There is varied seating of hi-lo, plenty of chargers, and even an outside seating area in the back. The background music was unobtrusive (They were playing something right?) The menu has a great variety, albeit slightly on the pricier side of cafes (beauty, and I should say quality, doesn't come cheap!). Items range from the sharable Bingsu (Bingsoo), with multiple varieties of this shaved ice treat; various coffee drinks and flavored lattes; sandwiches, pastries and cakes; ice cream; croffles and even acai & dragon fruit bowls. Surely a varied crowd pleasing selection. This is NOT a boba tea spot. I enjoyed my dulce cold brew and my friend's purple rain, coffee latte with lavender flavor was good as well. Went with the acai bowl, which is a generous portion, but each item is ala cart so you might want to control your variety before you end up with a $15 acai bowl or don't... you do you player! read more
It's always a nice pick-me-up coming to Cafe Auburndale. Whether just for coffee drinks or their monster bingsoos or waffles/croffles, we always leave content and look forward to returning. The interior is bright, spacious, and clean, and there are plenty of seats, whether for parties of 2 or slightly larger groups. The only downside is deciding on what item or 2 to have per visit since many items are tantalizing. The typical crowd here are teens to young professionals, but that doesn't mean "older folks" aren't welcome. There are several cool cafes in this stretch of Northern Blvd, but Cafe Auburndale certainly holds its own. read more

Got Matcha bingsu, matcha latte and hazelnut latte. The Matcha items are one of the best I've had so far. Service was quick no complaints. Location was well made. Space is pretty aesthetically pleasing and looks like a good location. Parking is alittle tough tho that's the only issue. Price point in the higher side of these items in terms of flushing but not that far out. Overall 4.7/5.0 star experience Tip: get there at 6:55 and you can park in front, 7:00 they allow parking in front of cafe read more
My bingsoo experience just isn't it this year. For desserts, I had to pay this place a visit, after having it sitting in my bookmark collections for a long while. The inside was cold! I don't know how people are able to casually work on their laptops here for long hours. The service was ok. I appreciate them for giving me free water when I asked, but the ladies didn't greet us even when I came up to the counter. There were a ton of workers up there too. The Matcha Bingsoo ($18.50) is so expensive for what it was. It looked like it would be good from the presentation. And at my first bite, I had thought so too. But once you avoid the red bean masking most of the taste and go for the matcha shaved ice, the flavor was just sweetness. I don't taste any matcha flavor, and the shaved ice, which was all mushed into an unappetizing consistency, melted super quickly. Not even a minute in, and we were picking at soup. Biggest waste of money spent here. I guess I appreciate the $18.50 cup of water. read more
I have been craving for bingsoo for the past few days, thanks to my niece and wife who gave in to my request on visiting a place that offers bingsoo. So I searched YELP and found this spot. We went there after dinner, which is a very good time as I easily found a street parking right across this joint. We got in to this place, WOW!! The place and the ambiance looks pristine and spotless. We ordered at the counter, one strawberry bingsoo and one matcha bingsoo. Basing on the menu board they offer five varieties of bingsoo, matcha, strawberry, milk, mango and Oreo. The person behind the counter was very friendly and accommodating. Wait time on the food that we ordered was short. As soon as we got our orders, I was very pleased with their bingsoo presentation, it looks appealing, yummy and appetizing. The portion was somewhat a little smaller than what I am used to, but it was delicious, palatable and crave-fulfilling. This is a good place to enjoy coffee, bingsoo, croffle, tea, yogurt, lava cake, waffle, cold drinks and a few more. A good place to hang out with family and friends. read more
I came here awhile ago and forgot to write a review. The bingsoo here, hands down the best! The "ice" kinda tastes like shaved vanilla ice cream. So good! I'm usually more of a mango person but I definitely preferred the strawberry. The mangoes were good but I don't like that artificial mango flavor that comes from the syrup. I shared the first bingsoo with just my boyfriend (we kinda had to force ourselves to finish because it was that good and we didn't want to waste it, duh!), but the second one with 3 friends! So i would say it would be ok to share amongst 3-4 people. read more

Cute modern interior with a little garden in the back. The bingsoo is YUM. The ice is soft and snowy. We tried the mango flavor but looking forward to trying others next time. Also had the "croffle" - Croissant Waffle and was pleasantly surprised. I really like the croissant texture and the cinnamon/ice cream combo was decadent. overall, good service and clean space. It's not an understatement when I say that I'm a newbie to the shaved ice world because I had no idea there was a version of shaved ice that was made out of milk instead of water. This place was my first time experiencing it and I think I might've found a new addiction. I got the mango shaved ice and it was so creamy that it didn't even need the scoop of ice cream on top. The mangoes that came in the shaved ice were the perfect ripeness and tasted fresh. You can tell the staff here puts a lot of care in the desserts that they prepare. I also got the Hawaiian latte, highly recommend it if you like coconut it was such a unique take on a latte. Aside from the food this is a great place to study or work remotely there is an abundance of cozy seating. I definitely want to come back here to try more of their really cool desserts. read more

Food- 4/5 The shaved ice definitely hits the spots when you go after dinner. Definitely give the mango one a try, I loved the taste of it. The mango pieces definitely were a bit sour, but the ice cream itself melts in your mouth really nicely. It will definitely leave you craving more. Service- 4/5 You will get a buzzer for when your order is ready. Definitely not a crazy extravagant spot, but it is what you make of it. I went with friends and thankfully it did not take long to get our order. Ambiance- 4/5 Chill hang out spot with all your friends. Nice and loud so you don't ever feel awkward in there. You could definitely come alone too. I could see this being very popular with teens. read more

Such a cute coffee shoppp wish I could come all the time!! it's way bigger on the inside than you can see from the outside. It goes straight back and has a back room and outdoor seating. They have waffles, croffles, bingsoo and soft serves. It was too early for a croffle so I got their Hazelnut Chocolate Croissant. So fluffy and crispyyy!! They have all the normal coffee shop drinks and they have specialty drinks. I got the Golden Latte which is a Tumeric Ginger Latte & the girl that helped me choose it was amazing!! I don't like my drinks sweet so she said that she can put less syrup and more powder so that I still get the flavor. They have a lot of special names for drinks like the Purple Rain was a Lavender something with Oat Milk and Hawaiian Latte was something coconut flavored. The girl was so nice and explained it all to me. Only recommendation I can give for this place is maybe have it written somewhere. I came super early so the girl had time to explain it all to me but it would take so long if it was a busy time of day. read more
Cute ambience, came during the last week of December and the place was busy! FOOD: Last time I came here we got the patbingsoo but it's WAY too cold for that now. It was also such a big portion, we couldn't even finish! I got the earl grey crepe cake and my friend got the marble cheesecake (I think it was a cheesecake...) on display. I thought the crepe cake was mediocre... a bit bland to my liking. ENVIRONMENT: There was a girl a few tables down was studying on her macbook, and a guy the next table over talking about business ideas with his friend. A group of people in the back were having a little birthday celebration. Overall, a cute cafe spot to hang out and chill. I think I'll be trying out other desserts next time I come though! Came here after dinner on a Tuesday night. It was pretty lively! the croffle and affogato were good. All of the flavors and levels of acidity balanced well together in one bite and I would re-order but try different flavors. The bingsoo was good but didn't blow me away like I thought it would considering it's what they are popular for. There was 1 staff member who took our order at the register and prepared our food; her demeanor was quite standoff-ish and seemed annoyed at everything. I thought it might have been the timing but they close at 11pm, and we walked in more than an hour before closing. Simply the vibe from the staff is why this review is a 3 and why I would be reluctant to return to Cafe Auburndale. read more
Took some out of towners to get some dessert after dinner. We ordered three Bingsoos: Oreo, milk and matcha. See pictures. Also we ordered a sweet potato Croffle. Everyone enjoyed the desserts as we shared them. The croffle was just the right amount of sweet to hit the spot because it wasn't too sweet. The Bingsoos were nice to look at and was as expected from ice cream over ice with added flavorings and treats. The decor is bright and the music is good for a cafe. This cafe is a grea5 place to hang out, study, and eat dessert! It's super aesthetic inside. Street parking is also available. They sell everything from drinks, lattes, croffles, bingsoo, molten lava cake, junior's cheesecake, etc. I came here twice and ordered the Mango Bingsoo and the Molten Lava Cake. The bingsoo is pretty big and honestly can be shared between two to three people. The mango is fresh and sweet. The molten lava cake is amazing and my favorite. They serve it with ice cream and strawberries! I would definitely come back here often with friends. read more
Wow, this place is PACKED. You need to be quick on your feet if you want to catch an empty table! It starts clearing up later in the night though. Matcha bingsoo ($15.50) This was absolutely heaven! The bingsoo melts immediately in your mouth. It's also pretty light so you don't feel heavy afterwards. I love the mochi bits but I didn't care much for the red bean. Wanted to visit this café for such a long time but I haven't had the chance due to COVID. Interior The interior of this cafe is so cute from the flowers to the decors on the wall. All of their tables and inside is so clean and a plus to it, it is very bright inside and it is a pretty big cafe! This would defiantly be a place where I would go study if it wasn't for covid! Service The service is excellent and so friendly. It was my first visit here today and I was wondering what coffee to get. I wanted to try something new and on the menus I saw Purple Rain! Coffee Now let's get to one of the most important thing which is the coffee that is served from here! The purple rain is a latte with oat milk and lavender. This was something new for me and there isn't too much lavender that is put in but there is just enough for the flavor to be dominant in the drink. There wasn't too much milk that was mixed in which is a plus because I can taste the espresso! Very satisfied with the service and love the aesthetics!!! read more

The decor of Cafe Auburndale is artsy, bright and adorable with wooden furniture. The ambiance is cozy and relaxed. There are outdoor dining available currently. We were there for their signature shaved ice bowl and it was so great. We tried the Milk Bingsoo which was the original. The shaved ice itself was creamy, tasty and light. The red beans was braised soft and flavorful. However, there was not much ingredients in the bowl so we felt the balance between ice & ingredients was kind of off. read more
Finally getting around to reviewing this place. Came 1 month ago. Location is phenomenal. Randomly came across this while driving around and it is a building that definitely stands out. The area is very spacious with cute decor. The staff was very courteous and helpful in picking out things from the menu. We decided to get the mango bingsoo which was a perfect choice since we both love mangos. We found a seat at one of the tables and watched as it was made. The mango bingsoo was amazing! A great dessert option with plenty of seating in Flushing. They're a bit on the pricey side for dessert, but most of it is generously portioned and meant for sharing. We were a little greedy and ordered more than we can handle. You order at the counter and they'll give you a buzzer to alert you when your dessert is ready to pick up. We had the matcha Bingsoo, milk Bingsoo, and biscotti ice cream. Bingsoo is Korean shaved ice and this is definitely a westernized version. The Matcha Bingsoo was delicious and tasted like high quality matcha flavor. The Milk Bingsoo was very mild and not very sweet, but not bad. It wasn't my favorite. I've also had the strawberry before and I like that one the most of the Bingsoo series. We also had the biscotti ice cream and that was yummy. Everything is well presented and picture worthy. The prices were a bit excessive, but a good experience and a nice sit down place. They also have coffee and tea. Service was decent but it does get busy after dinner hours. read more

This is a very popular dessert and drink cafe in Bayside! It's usually packed with a lot of groups coming to hang out and pretty noisy, but I always see a lot of people working on their laptops here. It has a cute aesthetic as well making it a perfect spot for instagram posts or stories. My family and I usually order bing soo when we come. It doesn't taste too icy and actually has a creamy texture to it which most places have trouble achieving with their bing soo. I've also tried their waffles which are not anything grand, but get the job done if you're craving something sweet. These portions are large so I recommend sharing with others. They have plenty of drinks they created as well on their menu to pair with your food. read more
When there for dessert going by reviews, we ordered the very berry croffle by the menu picture. When finally got dessert it did' by look like the menu photo. Look like a half waffle with little blueberry and strawberry and whip cream, and a soup of strawberry ice cream. The place closes at 11:00 p.m., we got there at 10:15 p.m., look like it was rush in making the dessert cause it was near closing time. 3.5 for me. Clean beautiful space and friendly staff. The iced matcha latte with oat milk I got was delicious but the two pieces of cake I took home were weirdly, not. They looked delicious from the display case but the chocolate cake was oddly grainy and bitter and the matcha cheesecake was not very exciting either. I guess we'll just stick to the drinks and go elsewhere for the desserts. Nobody was out because of the whole quarantine happening now, but could tell that parking could be a potential hassle trying to get to this spot any other time than during the day. So worth the trip if you are passing through to get out east or west locally. read more
Not what I expected. I am a first timer and I was expecting traditional Korean Bingsu, shaved ices with sweet read bean and milk but couldn't find it on the menu. The counter ladies were bit confused but deconstructed $16.50 One closed to Bingsu and nixed the almonds (allergic) , mochi pieces and mugwort powder in one cup, half and half in tiny cup, shaved milk (really cool and yummy) in large bowel, and sweet red bean paste in small cup. This kindness allowed me to assemble the traditional Bingsu and it was delicious! Get there before 8:30pm to get shaved ice creations! The ice creams were all yummy. The Cafe is very well designed cool space. Definite YES for everyone to try. read more
I came here the other day with my kids, and we had a relaxing time overall. On our visit, we got the mango bingsu, which was huge & absolutely sharable amongst the 3 of us. The mangoes paired with the shaved ice + vanilla ice cream was refreshing, 10 out of 10. I would suggest to get it if you are with friends/lived ones that you don't mind sharing a dish with. Other notes: Great lighting, fresh snacks, nice decor, loved all the outdoor garden seating in the back, added such a good touch. We saw some patrons one their laptops working in the back, so this might be a nice spot to study if you need to. The back space has a wooden wall with plug-in hooks (not sure if it was decor or for function, but was a cool feature), you can hang your bag on the wall. Clean bathrooms were also a big plus, especially when you're out with kids. I would come back another time if I wanted a place to chill as my overall experience was great. Modern space with outdoor seating in the back. This place is good to go with good friends to share some treats and laughs. There is a huge table in the back enough to sit 8 but there is also a wall bar with stools and outlets. The music is pretty loud so cannot recommend for folks looking for a quiet spot to study. While they have plenty of cute drinks, pastries and waffles, the bingsoo is what I would go for. They're big enough for 3 people to share and delicious. The ice is more like snow and isn't overly sweet. I can't say the staff is super friendly, but they're pretty quick and efficient so that works fine for me. read more
