The coconut cloud matcha is something I quite literally DREAM about! The coconut milk jellies are an adorable and tasty touch too. It's a small space but it's meant for grab and go. It's clean inside, multiple kiosks to order from, and the staff is super friendly with the gelato samples and explaining what's in each drink. Happy to have an authentic matcha spot near home!

Nice addition to Bell! It's connected to the Ramen spot next door but there's not a lot of seating. More of a grab and go spot. They have 8 levels of matcha, I think past level 3 is a dollar extra. We ordered at the kiosk menu but you can also go up to the counter and ask for samples. Other than the crowdedness it's a good spot to grab dessert.

Needed something sweet after a big meal so after a quick Yelp search, I found this place. And I justified getting ice cream after such a big meal by telling myself that matcha is almost health food, and Hojicha also seems to have same health vibe. So I got a scoop of each and it was good. A little earthy tasting, this the health benefits, but a good way to end a good meal. Not sure what to make of the poster of cat licking the matcha drink. Does not seem hygienic and do cats even like matcha?? I ate too much so my brain cannot solve this deep mystery. Leave it for another day.

Place is small with limited seating but they do have great matcha! It took some time for my order to come out because people were sampling but great choices.

I was excited to see this chain open in Queens. They took over TBaar, which shares the space with Kyuramen. You can order a the cashier or the kiosk. We ordered with the cashier, as some of us wanted to try samples. The Matcha Red Bean Latte with Mochi (substituted with Oat Milk) has a good matcha flavor. The red bean is a small ball so it was odd to drink with; I ended up eating it with a spoon. It was not too sweet, and had a mostly smooth texture. The mochi had a good chew. I tried a taste of a #1 and #8 Matcha Ice Cream, as well as the Hojicha. The #1 is pretty light in matcha flavor so good for anyone trying it for the first time. The #8 is definitely for the matcha lovers. It is very strong, but enjoyable. The Hojicha is another strong flavor, so good for the hojicha lovers! They have a small table with a ~8 stools as well as a small bench by the window so you can sit and eat or wait for your order. I hope they stay consistent! I will be back to try the soft serve and other items on the menu.

We love coming here after a meal at kyuramen. Our favorite drink is the matcha frappe. It's nice to get ice cream samples for the toddler to try and satisfy her ice cream cravings. There's 8 levels of matcha ice cream, hojicha and yuzu. This is our favorite spot on bell!

Welcome to Bayside Aoko! Kyuramen (left) shares the space with Aoko (right). Separate entrances to enter either location. Today is their soft opening; not grand opening (no date as if yet). They have limited products right now so have some patience. Friendly employees. You can samples matcha level #1-#5, #8, yuzu, and hojicha. I wasn't crazy about level #5 from their first store in the Village. Though when I tried #8 here, surprisingly it wasn't as bitter and very smooth. I got a matcha drink and aoko special. Give them a try!

Came in to grab a Hojicha latte for my husband after loving the Chinatown location. Grateful to have this new spot in bayside for Hojicha and matcha cravings. Loving interior and fast service relative to all the rotating orders.

we ordered #2 the balanced and #3 standard. Pretty strong matcha flavor and the gelato is smooth. Staff were pretty nice and they let us try before ordering. Would come back if I crave for matcha icecream again.

I'm so happy they opened an Aoko Matcha in Bayside. I got a yuzu and #3 matcha gelato, and the flavors match soo well together. Just a little sad that they won't have soft serve until July

So excited that this opened in Bayside, really reminds me of Japan! They're in the soft opening right now so they don't have a lot of menu items, but I was able to try their parfait and gelato. The portions are very, very small for each scoop so I had to eat slow to savor it. They have from level 1 to 6 as well as hojicha. The hojicha was my favorite flavor as it was strong, but also creamy. I got number three as a happy medium, but I still felt it was a bit on the bitter side. For the parfait, I ordered number two and I felt that was perfect for me. The parfait was really tasty and I enjoyed all the toppings inside. It's nice that they have some seating inside so you don't have to eat outside.

I finally checked this spot out! I tried to go to the one on Bleecker St in the city, but the line was out the door (blocking the sidewalk) last summer. Of course, I was excited when they opened one here. They have a kiosk machine and a cashier, which you can order from. It gets very busy inside, but there are a lot of workers who work hard to get the orders out. I ordered a double scoop of level 3 & 5 with mochi added. Delicious! I am looking forward to my next visit and try their strawberry matcha latte.

One ridiculously small scoop of icecream

The scoop of icecream is the smallest I've ever had from any store for $6 is totally not worth it, no second time

3 scoops with lots of room at the bottom

Walking in, you see green, lots of it in the form of lush plants and flowers everywhere. There is no over powering scents and the high ceilings do make the space feel open and calm. The counter to order is closer to the rear of the store and there's plenty of cafe style seating and communal seating all around. In warmer months, they put small tables and chairs outside on the sidewalk. The artisanal coffee here is what sets them apart. Bold flavor choices, robust and velvety varieties. Many options to choose from, check out the menu pics. I had the Americano and loved it. We also ordered hot food while hanging out. As they are popular for brunch, Jo and I shared the lemon curd blueberry pancakes as well as the savory salmon lox pancake. We likely over ordered but didn't mind, as we're always open to trying more dishes. The lemon curd blueberry was our favorite. I liked that there was extra lemon curd on the side and the blueberries were fresh. They were lightly dusted with powered sugar and thankfully not bathed in syrup. It was a light and satisfying dish even though it was pancakes. Didn't feel heavy at all. The ice cream was a nice touch so you could consider this as a dessert. The lox and eggs were really good as well. Those pancakes were topped with tomato, greens and avocado. Like a full meal on a plate. So glad we shared everything. I'd totally recommend a dine in experience so you can try the food once it's prepared. We both bought sandwiches to go for our family and those held up well considering it needed to be transported home. I recommend the ham and cheese croissant sandwich.

The tables are close enough and small enough to hear what your neighbors are saying to each other, imagine what they think of you? The fact that patrons have to shout over each other while sharing speaker music doesn't help with the ambience of enjoying a delicious cake over an interesting conversation. I ordered something new this time, a delicious lava cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Why didn't I see that description on my check? Strange. I also visited their website online, and noticed a lot of Stock Ai made photos and videos. I even found the website hard to navigate as well because it wasn't loaded with actual cakes and up to date pricing. So quite honestly the online website wasn't helpful with what they had in the shop. * Perhaps a future improvement between tables might be an above head moveable divider which actually could provide some privacy.
